Reading Indians talk about rap is a mind numbing and painful experience.
Inspired by a post on BollywoodMusic subreddit.
Everytime I listen to Indians talk about rap a part of my soul dies.
This is what happens when you listen to only one kind of music, that too stolen music. And when your country's most famous music scene is making what are essentially ads for movies.
Also there is a quote of Lata Mangeshkar saying "agar sur na ho toh takleef hoti hai mujhe". That's hilariously ignorant. Shows that these Bollywood singers just learn one type of music and live in their own world.
Bringing up Bollywood rappers is a bad example when YOU COULD BE BRINGING UP GREAT AMERICAN RAPPERS!!! But people only know Eminem so...
Everyone sounds like Ben Shapiro. "Rap is not music" cue kermit the frog voice.
Edit: I know India has music scenes outside film music. I am just trying to discredit film music.

People who say there's no casteism or lesser casteism, themselves are mostly savarnas. And all of these people who say so mostly are in the places of the savarna majority, which makes them think there is less casteism currently.

Is it all just the aesthetics?
As most of you have been watching with keen interest the insurance company CEOs assasin recently got locked up,while he was receiving support from the usual leftospehere for his actions(ie ridding this planet of one more rich degenerate 🐖) the chatter after his identity has come out is even more varied.
It has completely shifted from working class people getting shafted of from life Saving procedures to talking about how hot this man is.A jawline that can cut glass, abs that are chiseled and eyebrows that look like two caterpillars trynna fuck.
His brand of populism catching on and receiving almost insane bipartisan support so much so that usual rat scum like ben Shapiro is getting flamed in his own comments.
This comes back to a recurring post in a lot of leftist subs and ofc social media platforms of tik tok and Instagram, where occasionally a thirst trap of Stalin gets circulated and it single-handedly gets more engagement from the gen Z than a dozen videos essays on the alienation of the workforce.Simply because the aesthetic sells
Since time immemorial right wing nut jobs have leaned into populism to propogate their fowl ideologies while Marxism the true idea of the masses which belongs to them rests away In lecture halls, parties where the intelligentsia can wank themselves off to their ideological superiority while simultaneously gate keeping the idea that belongs to the proletariat and deeming theirs and anyone else's take on it reactionary.
Is our obsession and almost fervent adherence to the letters holding back leftist thought from flourishing in India,is our unwillingness to embrace populism (even tho it's worked in countless other revolutions of the past) holding us back or is it at the end of the day our inability to create an aesthetic that doesn't involve a neck beard and a bmi of 32 and going "axcually that's not what marx said 🤓☝️"thats preventing people from taking us Srsly.

every child is Ram - such is my country."*
He also mentioned that being a Hindu is not limited to those who bathe in the Ganga or apply *chandan* (sandalwood). According to him, anyone who views this land as their mother and is ready to sacrifice their life for the nation during a crisis, irrespective of their religious beliefs - whether they follow the Quran or the Bible - is a Hindu.
However, he added that when it comes to social issues within the Muslim community, such as halala, triple talaq and adoption-related concerns, he found no courage or initiative from the community to address them.
*"It is not necessary for Muslims to marry by taking seven rounds around the fire, bathe in the Ganga, or apply chandan but they should respect the culture, great personalities, and deities of this land,"* Justice Yadav remarked.
He emphasised that having four wives is unacceptable and further stated that no one has the right to practice halala, pronounce triple talaq, or deny maintenance to their wives.
*“If you claim that our personal law permits such practices, it will not be accepted. A woman will receive maintenance, bigamy will not be allowed, and a man will have only one wife, not four. If one woman receives maintenance while another does not, it leads to discrimination, which is against the Constitution.”*
Justice Shekhar also spoke about the Ayodhya judgment of the Supreme Court. He remarked that many of our ancestors made great sacrifices to see Ram Lalla liberated and to witness the construction of a magnificent Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
*"Could you have ever imagined seeing the Ram Mandir with your own eyes? Many of our ancestors made sacrifices with the hope of seeing Ram Lalla freed and witnessing the grand temple's construction. Although they couldn't live to see it, they played their part, and now, we are witnessing it ourselves,"* he highlighted.
He ended his lecture by saying that while Hindus are known for their non-violence and kindness, it should not be mistaken for cowardice. He stressed the importance of teaching children that the country, our religious practices, and our revered personalities should always come first.
*"Whether you are an advocate, a businessman, or a student, your identity as a Hindu comes first. Anyone who considers this land their mother and themselves as its child is a Hindu. Vivekananda also believed that only a Hindu has the potential to make this country a global leader, and no one else can do so. Never let this aspiration fade.*"

What do Marxists say of millionaire athletes and other highly paid professionals who make money from their labour
These people are millionaires who earned their money from labor .Someone like Virat Kohli posesses a rare skill which is a highly valued commodity .Similarly highly paid professionals in companies are paid well for generating profits for the Owner class .
Most Marxists agree there are no ethical billionaires. However if Virat was paid say a billion dollars from his contract alone along with his endorsements without any stake in companies he would not engage in any exploitation but would still be part of the 1% . How would he be treated ?

Christopher Nolan isn't a good director
Unless you've been living under a rock(most of this sub is but I digress) Pushpa 2 released a few days back. The movie in my opinion was mid but the discussion around it tho definitely isn't.
A significant part of this discussion has led to a majority of people calling the movie a high budget bhojpuri movie catered to the "sensless and uncouth public of the Hindi heartland" aka UP AND BIHAR aka as my fellow librandus used to lovingly call them "Bimarus🤓"
If you like me feel that this statement reeks of classism;it does, I'm a south Indian macha and I've seen countless movies where a woman who very obviously has no relationship to South India at all and not having even a basic understanding of the language not only get cast cos she white and he navels kinda bouncy kek but actively make a viable career(it's not these women's fault ofc, they're just trying to make a living ofc)it's incredibly hard for me to understand where the superiority complex we South Indians have.
All the south Indian states(including Maharashtra,we love you too maha bro's 💪) have through their history seen massive movements social justice which have valued education and reason as the source of development while actively taking steps to purge descrimination now do the same descrimination onto a poor Bihari dude who just wants to watch Allu Arjun beat up 50 guys(the wire work is a Lil shoddy but the jathra sequence is honestly pretty dope and the entire third act plays into the trope of damsel in distress which makes the movie shit but again I digress) while simultaneously jacking themselves off to watching Nolan.
Christopher Nolan the world's greatest Neo con 😩.Bro's like the ayn rand of our time but with like access to hans Zimmer,so many people over the past few days have talked shit about how they'd rather watch Interstellar than some bhojpuri trash and how the Indian audience has no taste 😞.And how unlucky they are to be in a country which doesn't appreciate "real cinema".
They talk of ray,ghatak,nair.. that's it they talk about them cos they sure as fucking haven't watched any of the movies these people have made lmaoo..they probably think apu Trilogy is the Simpsons episode where the family comes to India ffs(I will die fighting that, that is the last good season of the Simpsons btw but I digress)
These people my friends are posers, they represent the out of touch liberal class which jerks itself off to letterboxd reviews and watches gladiator 2 cos their indie darling is now a big movie star 🥺.
They're the kind of people who'll watch a movie about a fucking wormhole with physics they can't understand and wank themselves over how the real answer to solving motherfucking gravity is love 🥺💕 and pat themselves on the back for their brilliant taste in cinema.
They're the kind of people who deem any type of populism reactionary while wanking themselves off to Rahul Gandhi thirst trap edits(I must say he does mog all of current leaders)
They're hypocrites, they're liberals but worst of all they like Christopher nolan.
What do you guys think tho..do we have a superiority complex cos our ideology is better than everyone else's and were smarter than them cos we can regurigtate what bumfuck Marx wrote that one afternoon on April 17, 1858 in the drop of an hat or like are we the baddies 😱

UP govt imposes 6-month ban on protests, strikes
Taken from this article
The Uttar Pradesh government, led by Yogi Adityanath, has imposed a six-month ban on strikes and protests within its departments, corporations, and local authorities. This decision, outlined in an official statement, comes under the Uttar Pradesh Essential Services Maintenance Act (ESMA).
State BJP spokesperson Manish Shukla explained that the ban is part of preparations for major events like the Kumbh Mela and other significant programmes. The objective is to ensure that essential services remain uninterrupted for residents and visiting pilgrims during these events.
The Samajwadi Party (SP), the state's main opposition party, has condemned the move as "undemocratic". SP MLC Ashutosh Sinha told news agency PTI that the decision violates the constitutional rights of citizens and government workers to express their opinions.
“People and government employees have a right to express their views as per the provisions of the Constitution. But it seems that the government does not want people to do so," Sinha said.
Farmers in Uttar Pradesh have been at the forefront of protests against new agricultural laws that they argue favour large corporations at the expense of small farmers.
On December 2, The Bhartiya Kisan Parishad (BKP), along with other farmer groups such as the Kisan Mazdoor Morcha (KMM) and the Samyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM), marched towards Delhi from western Uttar Pradesh, gathering at the Delhi-Noida border. This protest was part of a larger movement that began on November 25, with farmers rallying against authorities like the New Okhla Industrial Development Authority and the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority.
The protestors are demanding a 10 per cent allocation of plots and a 64.7 per cent increase in compensation under the previous land acquisition law, equating to four times the market rate. For land acquired after January 1, 2014, they seek 20 per cent of the plots. Additional demands include employment and rehabilitation benefits for landless farmers' children, enforcement of High Power Committee directives, and adequate arrangements for resettling affected areas.

India will function as per wish of majority; "kathmullahs" against nation: Allahabad HC's Justice SK Yadav
Taken from [this article](https://www.barandbench.com/news/bci-cbi-probe-llb-degree-delhi-bar-council-vice-chairman-temporarily-removes-him)
Justice **Shekhar Kumar Yadav** of the Allahabad High Court ignited a major controversy on Sunday by attending an event organised by the legal cell of right-wing organisation Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP).
The judge made contentious statements against the Muslim community and stated that India will function as per the wishes of the majority community.
In his speech, he said that the welfare and happiness of the majority overrides those of others.
*"I have no hesitation in stating that this is Hindustan, and this country will function according to the wishes of the majority living here. This is the law. It is not about speaking as a High Court Judge; rather, the law operates in accordance with the bahusankyak (majority). Consider this in the context of a family or society - only what ensures the welfare and happiness of the majority will be accepted,"* Justice Yadav said.
The judge made a slew of controversial statements, including using the term *"kathmullah"*, a slur against Muslims commonly used on WhatsApp and other social media platforms.
Referring to extremists as *"kathmullah"*, he said that the country should be circumspect about them.
*"Lekin yeh jo kathmullah hai jo…yeh sahi shabd nahi hai…lekin kehne mein parhez nahi hai kyunki woh desh ke liye bura hai…desh ke liye ghatak hai, khilaaf hai, janta ko bhadhkane wale log hai…desh aage na badhe is prakar ke log hai…unse saavdhaan rehne ki zaroorat hai (But these kathmullah... this may not be the right word... but I won't hesitate to say it because they are harmful to the country...they are detrimental, against the nation, and people who incite the public. They are the kind of people who do not want the country to progress, and we need to be cautious of them),"* he stated.
He remarked that children in one community are taught the values of kindness and non-violence, and its people are raised to be tolerant. However, in another community, it would be difficult to expect tolerance from children, especially when they witness the slaughter of animals in front of them, he added.
*“In our country, we are taught from a young age to respect all living beings, even the smallest animals, and to avoid harming them. This lesson becomes a part of who we are, which is perhaps why we are more tolerant and compassionate, feeling pain when others suffer. But this isn't the case for everyone. In our culture, children are raised with guidance towards God, taught Vedic mantras, and instilled with the values of non-violence. However, in some other cultures, children grow up witnessing the slaughter of animals, which makes it difficult to expect them to develop tolerance and compassion.”*
Justice Yadav was speaking on the topic, *Uniform Civil Code: A Constitutional Necessity.* He also spoke on topics such as the Waqf Board Act and religious conversion.
On the Uniform Civil Code, he stated that while women are revered as goddesses in Hindu scriptures like the shastras and vedas, members of a particular community (Muslims) still claim the right to have multiple wives, engage in *Halala*, or practice *Triple Talaq*.
*"You can't disrespect a woman who has been recognised as a goddess in our shastras and vedas. You can't claim the right to have four wives, perform halala, or practice triple talaq. You say, we have the right to say 'triple talaq,' and not give maintenance to women. This right will not work. UCC isn't something that VHP, RSS, or Hinduism advocates. The country's top court also talks about it...This is the historic library hall of the court, where so many great personalities have been..."*
*"I vow that this country will surely enact a uniform law, and it will happen very soon,"* he added.
He went on to remark,
*"Where the cow, the Gita and the Ganga define the culture, where every home has an idol of Harbala Devi, and

Ex IPS Officer Sanjiv Bhatt Acquitted In 1997 Custodial Torture Case
Taken from this article
A court in Gujarat's Porbandar has acquitted former IPS officer Sanjiv Bhatt in a 1997 custodial torture case, citing that the prosecution could not "prove the case beyond reasonable doubt".
Additional chief judicial magistrate Mukesh Pandya on Saturday acquitted Bhatt, the then superintendent of police (SP) of Porbandar, in a case registered against him under IPC sections pertaining to causing grievous hurt to obtain confession and other provisions by giving him the benefit of the doubt due to lack of evidence.
Bhatt was earlier sentenced to life imprisonment in a 1990 custodial death case in Jamnagar and 20 years in jail in a 1996 case relating to planting drugs to frame a Rajasthan-based lawyer in Palanpur. He is currently lodged in the Rajkot Central Jail.
The court held that the prosecution could not "prove the case beyond reasonable doubt" that the complainant was forced to confess to the crime and made to surrender by voluntarily causing pain using dangerous weapons and threats.
It also noted that the sanction required to prosecute the accused, who was then a public servant discharging his duty, had not been obtained in the case.
Bhatt and constable Vajubhai Chau, against whom the case was abated after his death, were charged under sections 330 (causing hurt to extort confession) and 324 (causing hurt with dangerous weapons) of the Indian Penal Code on the complaint by one Naran Jadav for causing him physical and mental torture in police custody to extract confession in a Terrorist and Disruptive Activities (Prevention) Act (TADA) and Arms Act case.
Bhatt is undergoing life imprisonment in a 1990 Jamnagar custodial death case.
In March 2024, the former IPS officer was also sentenced to 20 years imprisonment by a court at Palanpur in Banaskantha district in a 1996 case related to planting drugs to frame a Rajasthan-based lawyer.

US style conspiracy theories in India
Was about to sit for breakfast this morning when my dad started yapping about how George Soros and the deep state (he read it in the newspaper) was trying to destabilize India by making fake allegations about Adani. I have been working a lot of overtime lately so I was unaware of this but it seems like BJP accused OCCRP, Soros and Rahul Gandhi of trying to destabilize India. An investigative news paper from France has discovered that OCCRP hid its relationship with the US government, this seems to be the catalyst which even though is an important discovery this still fails to discredit any of OCCRP's investigations but ofc we can simply ignore that.
The BJP is playing the same trick that GOP has played in the US since 2016, induce nationalism by creating a foreign enemy, conspiracy theories are very good because they can never really be discredited people still believe in Pizza Gate and the Haitians eating cats. They know that Indian media will never criticize the leadership that substantially and now they can simply discredit any foreign journalism as "deep state". Issues like the pegasus malware, panama papers never saw that much of an outrage in India because our local media doesn't give a fuck and people see any criticism of the Indian government by foreign nationals as attack on them.
It seems to be working r/IndiaSpeaks has already ate up the propaganda and if this catches on we might become full of fascist. This year can't get any worse
