Why Moroccans sit in the middle of nowhere
I've been in the desert and in other different areas and wherever I went, I found a dude sitting in the middle of nowhere. Are they just relaxing?

Something Doesn’t Add Up in Morocco! 🤔🤔
Morocco:
Minimum wage (SMIG): $3600/year
GDP per capita: $3600/year
How can the average GDP per person be equal to the minimum wage? This seems unusual and raises questions about income distribution or statistical reporting.
For comparison, here’s data from verified sources for 2023:
France:
Minimum wage: $1500/month
Average salary: $2810/month
GDP per capita: $44,460/year
Tunisia:
Minimum wage: $143.66/month
Average salary: $310/month
GDP per capita: $3900/year
Morocco:
Minimum wage: $300/month
Average salary: $530/month
GDP per capita: $3600/year
There’s a significant gap in Morocco between wages and GDP per capita compared to other countries. Thoughts?

People pretending to be jewish
Hey everyone, I wanna ask about a phenomenon that I noticed happened a lot for quite some time. I saw many many moroccans that claim to be jews without having any ties to jewish communities and when I ask them, they say all sort of stories like 'imazighen are the original jews' or 'i am jewish but have no papers to prove and nobody in my family kept it for hundreds of years' and on and on. And then some moroccan jews from israel bringing similar stories. Can anyone explain me a bit about what this is all about and if you knew of people with similar stories. At my university at the french section there are plenty of moroccans that claim jewish descent but only strange tradition-like stories.
One of my closest friends is amazigh and I don't understand why others like judaism so so much when their own culture is good enough

i need answers ..
I’m 17, I randomly put on hijab on new year’s eve and felt really comfortable wearing it so I kept it on the whole week now ,thing is that I’m starting to get more attention from men in a very noticeable way and it’s really making me uncomfortable, ppl in general also started treating me better .somehow they’re being nicer than usual , the whole sudden change made feel weird esp the first part ,doesn’t it contradict the whole purpose of hijab ?

Ten rules I have learned from riding Moroccan buses...
1: Don't bother greeting the driver. Today I tried doing it yet again (a very loud Assalamu Allaykum) and I got nothing.
2: Don't race to get inside first, no matter how many people are waiting, there's always a seat available.
3: If you're an elderly man, woman, disabled, or a pregnant woman, chances are the seats up front will be occupied by healthy men and women who think they deserve that area more.
4: Don't even think about opening or closing the window: 99.99% of the time, someone will feel too cold or too hot and will shut the window so hard it'll make the glass almost shatter.
5: If you're doomscrolling in your seat to kill time, just show your screen to the person sitting next to you because they may have already seen everything, so why deprive them from looking some more.
6: Don't wear a mask during flu season, it's useless...you will be the only in the bus doing so and people will look at you as if you have the plague.
7: You better not lose your ticket, cos although you pay before getting in and although there are cameras that document the payment, without your ticket you're cooked, and by cooked I mean you're gonna have to pay a 25 dirhams fine.
8: If you're hoping for a window seat, keep in mind that you'll likely be exposed to the sun, so choose wisely.
9: Don't lose your money or phone and expect to retrieve them later; they'll likely become someone else's property.
10: Enjoy the ride.

Why do people try to be funny so often?
Don’t get me wrong, I love a good laugh as much as the next person. But sometimes, it feels like people are trying too hard to be funny in every situation, even when it’s not really appropriate or necessary.

Did the clearance agent scam me?
Hello everyone,
This is my first time dealing with imports, and I’m starting to worry that my clearance agent might be overcharging me. He’s asking for 7,000 dirhams (in cash, "noire") plus additional costs for the rest of the process.
If anyone has experience in this field or understands how these charges work, I’d really appreciate your insights. I can provide more details if needed.
Thank you so much! 🙏

Who are the moderators, and do we truly have freedom of speech? Are the moderators manipulating and silencing certain posts to influence the political perspective on the Moroccan thread? Why don't we see this happening in the threads of other nations? Do we have the right to show some concern about our national security and talk freely about those who spend a huge amount of effort and money to destroy us?

Irish Visitor to Marrakech
Just finished a 7 day stay in Marrakech. Aside from the unbelievable natural beauty the country has to offer, the level of hospitality was truly amazing. The warmth and kindness of the locals made our stay in this country, so, so special.
I won't reel off all the amazing experiences we had, as me and my wife came here with no idea of where to go, or what to do, and that was part of the magic.
What I can say, is that our stay was truly unforgettable and this is a country you absolutely should visit.
Jemaa el-Fna Square comes alive at night like no other city I have ever experienced.
Moroccans are such kind and welcoming people.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all of the Moroccans that made our trip unforgettable ❤️
