We Invested Everything in a Mobile Coffee Project

Hi im honestly feeling so lost rn and i rly need your advice, please

Recently we bought a car to start a small mobile coffee business. We bought it for 30000Dh , fixed it up got a coffee machine and everything, we had everything ready. We repaired the car, changed everything that needed to be changed in the car but recently the car started breaking down. We'll be driving and it suddenly stops in the middle of the road and kan3yto l dépannage We've been back and forth with the mechanic for about 15 days now. Its only been a month and a week since we bought it from a woman.

The goal behind this project was to help my brother and i continue our studies, and we rllyyy put everything we had into thisss.

We called the woman we bought the car from and told her to give us our money back or we'd take legal action and she just told us GO AHEAD
so pls i rly need ur advice
What can we do in this situation? My mom is really overwhelmed and so are we. We put all the money we had into this thats rly heartbreaking wallah.

My 2 cents after visiting Morocco recently

Just got back from Morocco and wanted to share some thoughts. First off—what a beautiful country. From the landscapes to the architecture to the people, there’s so much to love. I genuinely enjoyed my trip and would love to come back again.

That said, there were a few things that stood out to me that I think are worth mentioning—not as criticism, but just honest feedback from a tourist’s perspective.

The bargaining culture is everywhere, and honestly, it can get exhausting. I get that it’s part of the culture and some people enjoy it, but for me (and I’m sure others too), it just puts me off buying things. When prices aren’t clear and you’re expected to haggle for everything, it becomes mentally tiring. I’d rather see a price, decide if I like it, and buy it—simple as that. That’s probably why apps like Uber and Careem did so well: the price is the price, no games.

Also, a lot of shopkeepers are super pushy—trying to drag you into their shops or not taking “no thanks” politely. I know they’re trying to make a living, and I respect the hustle, but I think good customer service and a more relaxed approach would actually attract more people. Let people browse in peace—they’ll buy if they like something.

Another thing I couldn’t ignore was the number of beggars in places like Marrakesh. It’s sad to see and kind of dampens the vibe a bit. On top of that, the income gap was pretty stark—saw people driving cars that even with a UK salary, I couldn’t afford, while others were struggling on the streets. Hopefully, the government continues working to reduce inequality so more people benefit from the tourism boom.

Overall though, Morocco has a lot going for it. I’d definitely recommend it, and I’ll probably be back—but thought I’d share an honest take from a visitor’s point of view.

Why police don't fine motorbikes that break red traffic light 🚦 🔴 rules ?

So many motorbike drivers break red traffic light, endangering crossing pedestrians. Why is police not cracking down on this ? Should be easy money for the treasury from all the fines.

The worst thing is that if I point out the violation to a motorcyclist that went on red while I was crossing, they get all defensive and annoyed instead of owning up, apologizing or just being quiet 😂

What are the beauty standards for women in Morocco

I’m in college and will be doing a student exchange in Morocco for 4 months. I’m curious to know what the beauty standards are for women in terms of style, appearance, or anything else.

Crosswalks in Morocco are a joke. Drivers just don’t give a damn

Let’s be real: crosswalks in Morocco mean absolutely nothing. They’re just paint on the road. Most drivers act like they have zero obligation to stop. You could be standing there, waiting with a child or an elderly person, and they’ll blast past like you’re invisible.

It’s not just rude. It’s criminal.

In 2024, nearly 900 pedestrians were killed in road accidents across Morocco. That’s hundreds of lives lost, and still, no one seems to care. Drivers don’t fear consequences, and the authorities? Barely present.

Why is it so hard for drivers to stop for 5 seconds and let someone cross? Are we that selfish? That reckless? It’s like basic humanity disappears the moment people get behind the wheel.

This country won’t move forward if we can’t even respect something as simple as a pedestrian’s right to cross the street safely.

Do you stop for people at crosswalks? Be honest.
Have you or someone you know ever been hit or nearly hit while crossing?
What do you think it would take to make Moroccan drivers finally understand this isn’t optional?

Let’s talk. Because people are dying, and no one seems to care.

Gen Z... victims of phones and social media, which have left them psychologically weak and emotionally unstable."

كتاب ديال جوناثان هايدت
"The Anxious Generation"

Looking for a Temporary Home for 3 Rescued Cats in Tangier 🐾

Hi everyone,

I’ve been living in Morocco for the past year and a half, and it’s been an incredible experience. During my time here, I rescued three sick young cats and gave them the love and care they needed to get healthy again. I’ve also taken care of all their medical checks and paperwork so they’re ready to travel abroad with me - that alone cost nearly £1000, but they’re worth every bit of it.

Now, I’m in a bit of a tough spot. I need someone in Tangier who can look after them for a couple of months until I can take them with me. I’ll cover all their expenses - food, water, litter, and of course, I’ll pay you for your time and care.

They’re sweet, affectionate cats and I just want to make sure they’re safe and cared for during this short period. Professional boarding is too expensive for three, so I’m hoping someone in the community might be able to help.

If you’re an animal lover and have some space in your home (and heart), please get in touch. It would mean the world to me - and even more to them.

Thank you ❤️

Royal Air Moroc just lost the luggage of 80% of our flight

Casablanca to Lagos, neither of my bags arrived, the majority of the plane is in the same situation, the scenes are chaos. All my clothes are in my checked in bags 😭 I have AirTags in both and can clearly see them on the apple app. what’s the worst case scenario? I’ve heard horror stories of weeks or months, any chance this is sorted in days?

Everyone thinks I made it because I live in the US. I feel like I lost myself

Salam brothers and sisters, this post is just me venting honestly. I’ve been living in the US since I was 15. I’m 26 now. I know a lot of people back home in Morocco would probably love to be in my shoes, living here, having what looks like a stable life. And I get it, I really do. But wallah, sometimes I feel like life here is straight up draining. Emotionally, mentally, spiritually.

Alhamdoulillah I hold a solid position, I work a government job, I make decent money. On paper, I’m doing fine. But deep down? It just feels empty. I get 3 weeks of vacation a year, and the rest of the year I’m just working non-stop. Wake up, work, come home, repeat. It’s the same cycle every single day. It feels like I’m just working to survive, not live.

And yeah, there’s this idea that “at least you’re in America,” but I’m tired of hearing that. I feel like people back home don’t really try to understand. Every time I try to talk to someone about how hard it is here, all I get is “at least you’re there.” As if being here automatically means I’m living some dream life. Truth is, I was way happier back home. Life felt more real, more connected. Here, everything is about money, status, climbing some endless ladder, and for what?

I want to travel more, I want to go out, spend quality time with friends, actually enjoy the money I’m earning. But even that feels impossible. The norm here is working yourself into the ground then spending your little free time in bars or getting drunk, which isn’t even my vibe. And the thought of doing this for the next 30 or 40 years until I’m 65 just to finally “retire” makes me sick. Like what’s the point?

I know I sound ungrateful to some people, but this isn’t about not appreciating what I have. It’s about realizing that this system we’re in is broken and soul-crushing. I’m tired. And I just needed to get this off my chest.
