Job market in Morocco.
I live in Europe and I hold a senior position in my field. I decided to test the water and apply for jobs in Morocco. I applied to basic jobs in my field, entry, intermediate and senior levels.
To my dismay, I started receiving rejection letters. I thought that given my experience I would at least get one call back, but nothing.
The thing is, where I live I receive a few job offers a year without even applying.
Am I justified in feeling a bit salty about it? I was considering maybe moving back to Morocco but now I don't think it's a wise idea.

How religious is Morocco in your opinion?
Hey,
I've been to Morocco, I don't know that much about the Islam religion.
So I've been talking to some moroccans, and what I realised a lot of them (basically all of them) are drinking which is supposed to be haram. Also same situation with smoking.
Also I've seen a lot of woman dressing well.. let's say close to how a european woman would dress like, so shorter skirts, skinnier jeans etc., which is also haram I guess.
To me it seems like Morocco takes the religion somewhat more easili compared to other ''Islam countries''.
In the future I will visit Morocco for sure, so I just want to know what are the ''DONT'S'' in your country, especially for a christian man, and I'd like to see by your comments how do you see the current situation about your religion in Morocco.

Is It Possible to Please Both Parents When They're So Different?
I have this friend named Sarah, who’s 21 years old. She lives in Sweden and She’s got a Moroccan dad and a Swedish mom, and lately, she’s been going through some really tough family stuff. Here’s what she told me:
“I’ve always felt like I’m living between two worlds. My dad is Moroccan, and he’s pretty traditional. He believes in the values he grew up with, and he expects me to follow them too. He’s always talking about family, respect, and making sensible choices, like studying something useful that will get me a stable job.
My mom, on the other hand, is Swedish, and she’s all about freedom and being true to yourself. She says things like, ‘Life’s too short to be anything but yourself,’ which sounds great, but it’s not that simple when you’re caught between their expectations.
For a while, they managed to make it work. Dad would go to the mosque on Fridays, and Mom would do her own thing, like meditating or yoga. But lately, they’ve been arguing a lot, and it’s almost always about me. My dad wants me to study medicine or engineering, something he thinks is practical and secure. But my mom thinks I should follow my passion, which is painting. I’ve been painting since I was a kid, and I can’t imagine my life without it. It’s like breathing to me.
Things came to a head last week. Dad found some of my paintings and said they were too ‘western,’ like I was losing my Moroccan roots. He got really angry, saying I was disrespecting our culture. Mom got defensive and told him he was trying to control me and that I should be free to express myself. I just stood there, feeling like I was being torn apart. I love them both so much, but it’s like they want me to choose between them, between their worlds. They don’t see that I can be both Moroccan and Swedish. I just want to be myself.
After that fight, my mom left to stay with a friend for a few days, and my dad has barely spoken to me since. I’m stuck in this empty house, feeling like it’s all my fault. I didn’t choose to be born into this clash of cultures, but here I am. I don’t want to pick a side; I just want to be me. Has anyone else ever felt this way, torn between two worlds? How do I make them understand that I’m not choosing one over the other? What should I do?”

My struggle with social media
Hi guys, I just wanted to share this “struggle” of mine and would like to hear your opinions, advices and whether you ever have this issue yourself.
So first of all I’m not very active on social media (I don’t post, I don’t talk to anyone and no one talks to me 😂) but I somehow end up unconsciously spending hours everyday on those platforms and this makes me so bad about myself, I get so overwhelmed and distracted.. so I end up deactivating my accounts, cuz that’s the only way for me… I have zero self control and get distracted a lot, so the only solution is to deactivate accounts.
But shortly after that, I feel so lonely(actually loneliness is always there 😆) and isolated.
Sooner or later i reactivate my accounts again and keep going throught the same cycle over and over. And honestly at this point I’m just sick of it, I wish I could just use sm like a normal person in a way that I can stay connected but not letting it consume me and affect my focus and the work I’m trying accomplish.
If you guys have better experiences with sm please share tips and/or advices.

Most unsustainable businesses in Morocco.
For me one of the most unsustainable companies in the country is Speedaf, i just receive 23kg of salt with less than 200g of electronic components.
Last year , i found i had over 1200kg of salt in a corner in the house.
While i can use that salt for many things (cosmetic and food), 1200kg is too much.

Why can’t we smell the ocean breeze in Morocco
I remember when I was a kid, I can smell a strong salty sea breeze from the beach way before I reach the shore. I left Morocco and came back years later, and now I cannot smell anything even though I’m right in front of it. Why is that? I really miss that smell
