What is the most unhinged thing you heard someone say

Mine would be my oncle when he turned to his son with a straight serious face in front of the whole family and said “ walayni had trayaf dial lgar3a kaychbah l hadik la7ma li 7aydou lik f khtantak “ . No can could finish the kouskous . Us the cousins have a theory that he did it on purpose to eat 3la khatrou

How do you spend your weekends? be honest

I'm probably on the verge of depression or something, but I do not seem to enjoy anything anymore. I would like to know how others spend their weekends but be honest.. maybe I'd feel less bad about spending weekends at home 😥

Algerian over here

Let me start by clarifying that I was born, raised (still live) in Algeria... I'm in r/morocco because my mother is Moroccan and because I relate to this part of me than the Algerian one..

Was banned a year ago from r/Algeria because I simply said that we as Algerians have lots to work on, and that Morocco is an ally not an enemy.. and that's it's actually our government's fault meddling in Morocco's affairs.

Having spent a year in the military, I could see for myself the institution that was actively fueling the hatred... And let me tell you something... It won't cease doing so any time soon... Even the young generation is brainwashed.

However, that didn't prevent me from addressing their misconceptions, tho it sometimes got me to receive some hate myself (as an Algerian!!)

Is Mehdi Ben Barka a well known figure in Morocco?

From North America here! I am curious as to if Mehdi Ben Barka is a well known figure that the majority of citizens know of? If so, how is he perceived?

Hi, I was wondering what skincare products you're into :)

Salem everyone. I'm from Korea and someone who is interested in Moroccan culture.

Since, I'm a woman I was just curious what products Moroccan females are into

I'd like to ask these questions.

"What's the biggest skincare challenge you face in Morocco’s climate?"
"Have you ever tried South Korean skincare? What did you like or dislike about it?"
"If a product could make your skin more radiant and smooth, would you be interested in trying it?"

I hope they don't overwhelm you and feel free to let me know your thoughts.

Shrank in advance! :)

Why we Moroccans abroad don't come back and bring our knowledge/exp to develop our country?

This is a message for Moroccans abroad, why don't we all do like the Chinese did, after having enough experience and knowledge we come back to Morocco and bring with us all that package to develop our country

It's been my dream since long time, to bring the technology i learned abroad and use it to help the country, because Morocco ìs where i received most of my education, so we went prepared like a silver plate to Europe and abroad so they can benefit from the free package without any cost

Let's make some movement or kickstart this culture of bringing back the experience we received

I am not saying that no one does that, i saw some Moroccans doing it, but most of us we stay abroad

How bad is corruption in Morocco? Saw some stuff at the airport that left me a bit shocked.

Arrived a few days ago and while waiting at the customs counter in Marrakech airport there were three very dodgy looking guys in front of me. They got stuck for ages because something was not looking right on the side of the border agent.

Anyway after about 10 minutes one of three pulled out a bag and handed something to the guard and they were all laughs and smiles and the passports got stamped and he let them in.

When I got to the booth, the border guard thought he was being sly and handing some folded 50€ bills to his colleague in the same booth as he left.

Quite clearly the guys in front had bought their way in. The guard knew I saw him do it and was acting really sheepish.

Just how common is this and how secure are the borders really?

''Mgharba fihom gha lhdra w ta wa7d makayhder 3la 7e9o''

This sentence right here is what most Moroccans keep saying all the time, maybe I do say it myself sometimes. A recent post here about Gas prices made me think...if we all think alike why do we not do anything about the shitty situation and the unfair prices & laws in Morocco.

Well after thinking about it, we actually CAN'T do shit tbh. You can go out by yourself and shout for ur right, you also can't gather people nor keep spreading the word online or your cheeks will get spread. I'm sure thousands of Moroccans would like to protest for their rights, but the gouvernment is passing every law to prevent that + look at how many protests we've been having lately and the gouvernement isn't answering the call or even showing enough interest to answer the demands.

It would really be a fierce battle and a long protest that never stops until it's answered, and i'm not sure everyone would be up to going the extra mile or skipping their work for the sake of change. Heck there's even an easier way to protest by not going to work or going out like some other country did few years ago (i think Myanmar or something)

Mn lkher lhdra sahla walakin ta7ed mafker kifach ymken ndiro real actions.
