Where to shop for clothes as a female?
This is a genuine question, I'm 25F, situated in Casablanca.
I look like a 16yo if not less xD, I neeeed clothes and all I find is expensive bad quality ones in stores.
Thrifting also isn't working for me, most of the clothes are bigger than me and if I'm lucky enough they could be fixed by taking them to tailor, otherwise it's impossible.
I did try kids sections in stores and most of them have some cartoon on them or something stupid I wouldn't wanna wear, or simply too small.
I'm tired, so I'm asking you ladies out there with similar issues, where do you shop from?
PS: I wear XS/S/M depends on design, 34-36 pants (I usually just buy ones I like and take them to tailor), I also appreciate good quality textile and materials
Thank youuu in advance, I would really appreciate your responses.
Edit : THANK YOU everyone for ur recommandations, I guess there is no shortcut I'll just keep looking and checking stores till I find something. U have been a great help

Has anyone shipped a phone to Morocco!?
I’m wanting to send an iPhone to Morocco and was wondering if anyone has had experience with this.
I know there’s a high tax rate on electronics. Is it possible to get around this?
I also know that I could have just sent the money, but at that time this phone wasn’t out in the country yet and it’s a lot more expensive.
Please help!
All suggestions are welcomed, thanks.

Advice needed - inappropriate kids
I’m staying in Marrakech for a few weeks (25F). On the street where I’m staying there are usually boys (look to be between 8 and 12) out playing. They’ll usually shout a few phrases in English, sometimes jump out and try to scare me, but just messing around.
Today my partner and I were walking back and the boys were playing football. They came up and fist bumped him and then hugged me - I had my hands full with bags and couldn’t move, it was obviously a ploy so I thought they might have been going for my wallet or going to stick something on my back - instead two of them kissed me on the breast (over the clothes).
Aside from this being ridiculous and just weird, it’s obviously extremely uncomfortable. On the one hand they’re just kids, on the other it’s assault and makes me worried for young girls in the neighbourhood.
My question is, as a tourist how should I respond? Speak to the airbnb owner? Tell one of the adults nearby, assuming they’ll know these kids & their parents? I’m not looking for trouble but these kids are harassing people - the best case scenario is they don’t know what they’re doing, but if they do it’s concerning behaviour.

i want someone to go out with
I recently moved to Kenitra to study here ( M 20y), and I am more of an introverted person, but I like to walk and have some tour in the city. The problem is I don't really have much friends here, and I really appreciate if someone is willing to go out with me.

A writer's Unexpected Struggle
Hi, writers and readers!
A few days ago, my sister asked me to help her with her Arabic homework, specifically writing a daily journal. I was excited because I have some experience writing stories in Arabic, so I grabbed a pen and paper and let my ideas flow. when I finished , she asked me to read it out loud. I did, but then she said "You're spelling it out rather than truly reading it" honestly, I felt the same. it was as if my tongue wasn't cooperating with my brain. I struggled to pronounce the sentences clearly, especially in standard Arabic. It was shocking. I've always been passionate about Arabic literature, poetry, and classic stories. I even wrote poems and stories and won some awards for them. So I started wondering: How can my brain create such ideas, but my tongue can't express them the same way? if I can't read it aloud properly, does the text still feel like it truly belongs to me as its writer?
I'd like to hear your thoughts. is this normal? have any of you faced something similar? let me know Thanks!

My Mom is Being Manipulated by My Aunt – An Absurd Story of Fraud, Fear, and a €160,000 Demand
My aunt says we need to pay 1,600,000 dirhams because government officials supposedly helped us. It all started when we wanted to sell a field, and the buyer made a deposit of 10,000 euros. We traveled there, but suddenly, the buyer didn’t want to proceed with the purchase, leaving us with all the expenses like flights and accommodation. This buyer had a friend named R. We met R because he had introduced the buyer to us and also arranged our accommodation. When the buyer pulled out, we kept the deposit to cover our expenses. This happened in June.
Later, we sold another field to R, far below market value, because my mother and aunt were too trusting. I was against selling it, but eventually, I agreed. We created a preliminary contract, and R made a down payment. After some time, my family realized that the field had been sold for too little and proposed a deal where R would be compensated with 20,000 euros, and we would cancel the sale. However, R didn’t agree and didn’t pay the remaining balance after his initial deposit.
In January, R wanted to negotiate, and my aunt and mother met with him to return the money and resolve everything. Allegedly, R called the police during the meeting, and my mother and aunt were arrested because they had kept the deposit from the first buyer. In January, we were also told we had to pay 100,000 euros in taxes for the previous years. We paid, but I never received any documents despite asking multiple times.
When they were arrested, they were held for six hours and interrogated. In the end, they returned the deposit and were asked to sign something. Apparently, they didn’t read the documents carefully and signed something without fully understanding it. While leaving the station, a man named A approached them, claiming to have overheard everything and offering his help. He said there was already an investigation against R for fraud, bribery, and other crimes. A also said there were allegations against my mother, myself, and my sister for human trafficking, theft, gambling, and fraud.
According to A, there were cameras in the accommodation we stayed in, and the landlady filed a complaint with supposed witnesses. They claimed my mother was smuggling people from Morocco to France for thousands of euros. While my aunt and mother were sitting in a café, my aunt allegedly received a call from A, asking her to come to a meeting alone. She left all her belongings with my mother and disappeared until 4 AM. She later told us that A took her to a room where 20 other men were waiting, including witnesses who were supposed to identify my mother. However, during the lineup, one witness allegedly identified a random woman instead of my mother, proving to A and the others that this witness had been bribed by R. My aunt claims she was beaten during the process, and this supposedly proved her and my mother’s innocence.
According to A, the first buyer had murdered his ex-wife, and A and his team arrested him and 150 others linked to R. They claimed to have dismantled R’s fraud ring. Since then, A and his team have allegedly been helping my mother and aunt by deleting files, dismissing charges, and doing everything necessary to supposedly prove their innocence in court—all without payment or compensation over several months.
Now, my aunt says they want 160,000 euros for their work. If it isn’t paid, she claims she will go to prison because she supposedly vouched for us. The first payment deadline was in October, but it was postponed to November and now December because my brother and I refused to pay. My aunt claims she “saw it all coming” because she’s a psychic. She has also made my mother afraid of phones and computers, claiming they are being spied on. She insists we can’t ask for help or make any inquiries because it would expose everything, and everyone would go to prison.
My aunt says we need to sell another field to pay the 160,000 euros. However, my mother could never afford this from her share, and

Can i find a part time job in morocco as a 17 years old?
I’m currently a 2bac student living in Marrakech and i want to find a part time job to help my mom pay for the extra classes.
I have 3 younger brothers, 2 of them are 1bac students and the 3rd is a fourth grade student in a private school so it’s hard financially for my mom to pay for the extra classes me and my 1bac brothers take and for the school fees of the youngest. I think by me having a job i could at least pay for mine.

Tips on exploring the Hassan 2 mosque as a Muslim tourist.
Salam, I’m staying in Casablanca for only a night and would like to know tips on exploring the Hassan 2 mosque. I know I can probably just enter after Azan but will I be able to explore other parts of the Masjid? I’ll be with my wif (she wears hijab) so not sure if it will raise any alarm if I’m with her exploring areas outside the prayer area.
Another option would be to pay for a tour but there are no time slots available for it. Also don’t think it’s worth it, it’s $20 (USD) per person.

Why Do Brothers Get More Freedom Than Sisters in Moroccan Families
Hey y’all, let’s talk about a real common issue in moroccan families: why is it that the brother can pretty much do whatever he wants, but the sister is often held to a completely different and stricter standard?
Growing up I noticed that it’s super normal for brothers to have a lot more freedom. Bro can roll in at 3 a.m no questions asked. But if sis wants to grab coffee at 8 p.m the whole neighborhood finna talk. Why is it that brothers get all the freedom while sisters get all the judgment?
this double standard often comes from old cultural beliefs about family honor and gender roles. The idea is that the brother’s actions don’t reflect badly on the family, while the sister’s actions can. It’s crazy when you think about it, Why does it always feel like a man’s reputation stays his own, but a woman’s reputation feels like it’s tied to the whole family’s name?
I know it’s not just me lots of girlies I’ve talked to say they’ve experienced the same thing. Some say it’s due to deep-rooted traditional views, while others think it’s because of a fear of what the society might say about a girl’s choices
Now grab your tea, sip slow, and let me know what you think. we’re here for all the drama and the real talk.👀

Marrakesh airport is the absolute worse experience
Beyond disorganized and the amount of checks is insane
1. Queue to get in
2. Local airline passport and bag check going slow as ever asking you random questions
3. Security queue also slow as ever with people just standing around not doing anything
4. Immigration just obnoxiously rude also acting like there’s all the time in the world to go through. Joking around with their friends
5. Guy checking if your passport is stamped?!? This is just ridiculous, hire better the first time to avoid this.
6. Finally, Before you board your flight another check take off your shoes and swab you, as if the most advanced technology in the world won’t catch something that Mehdi from the Souks of Fez digging through your bag will.
Every step of the way slow, crowded, lazy employees. A horrible experience all in all just absolutely ridiculous. For a country that relies on tourism, you would think they would be better at providing this customer experience.
I was pretty annoyed through it all, but the last final check before boarding had me heated. You have all these checks and all this tech, but still need to swab me and dig through all my shit. And force me to throw away my water I bought at your own airport.

I’m afraid that if we sell the field, my mother will simply give the money to my aunt. The payment to A is supposed to be made in cash and handed over via a “dead drop.”
How can I show my mother that this is all nonsense and that my aunt is exploiting her? We have already paid 140,000 euros for supposed expenses.
Allegedly, they also claimed to have seen my entry into the country during my vacation this year and informed my aunt about it. However, the entry I made without telling my aunt was not reported. My investigations at the consulate and the applications I submitted haven’t been discovered by the supposed "organization" yet. I didn’t pursue these inquiries because I believe in their story, but to prove to my mother that it’s false.
How can I help her? And how can I ensure she doesn’t go broke because of my aunt?
