The Moroccan subreddit isn’t really a good representation of real Moroccan Muslims or what the country is like. A lot of people on here are openly hateful towards Islam, which doesn’t reflect the majority of Moroccans who are proud of their faith and culture. If someone from outside wants to learn about Morocco or its people, they’d be better off talking to actual Moroccans or looking at more balanced sources than relying on what they see here, actual moroccan muslims are a minority in this subreddit .May Allah guide us all

recently bought something (computer for about

Brothers' feelings about their sisters getting married
I don’t even know how to say this, but do men get embarrassed when their sisters get married? I can’t think of any other reason for how my only brother acted I don't have any other siblings just my older brother who got married years ago. When it was his turn we were there for him in every step from his fiançailles to the wedding. We did everything to make him happy, and everything went well.
But when it was my turn he decided not to be involved at all leaving me and my parents alone it was shocking and heartbreaking. We used to have a good relationship we were kind of close. But everything changed when he found out I was getting married, and it only got worse. During my engagement, my parents had to beg him to attend. He came but didn’t speak to anyone and left in the middle of lunch, making things awkward and embarrassing. When it was time to sign my marriage contract, he didn’t show up. On that same day, I went out with my husband to celebrate at my favorite restaurant, and we ran into my brother at the entrance. My husband approached him to say salam, but my brother responded with What do you want? My husband apologized and left, a few minutes later, my brother sent me audio messages insulting me in ways I can’t even describe. He said things like "mn had nhar mat3rfini man3rfk Allah yl3en nhar li jme3ni bik a bent.."
I can’t even explain how I felt in that moment I used to say nice things about him to my husband it felt like I was lying . I was planning to have a small celebration, but I canceled everything. I never imagined he could act or hurt me this way.
Since then I’ve been heartbroken I stayed in my room for weeks barely interacting with anyone. I can’t move on or forget what he did. I didn't answer his messages didn't talk to him and I don't think I'll ever do.

Beware of Glovo scams
I have been a frequent user of Glovo for years and was more or less satisfied with their service.
However, in recent weeks, every supermarket order has been missing one or more items, even though they were charged and debited from my account.
When I file a complaint, they offer a refund that is less than the value of the missing items that were purchased, charged, and debited.
If I don’t pay close attention to the invoice, they don’t explicitly mention that an item is missing, yet you’re still charged for it.
Sometimes, an item is missing, but the total amount of the bill remains the same as the one initially provided at the time of the order. They justify this by saying that prices have changed, which I don’t think is fair.
I find it unacceptable that prices change between the time of the order and the time of billing.
Overall, I feel their service is becoming increasingly dishonest.

How come Chleuh's and Chechens have similar values/beliefs?
Chechens (an ethnic group in the Caucasus) and Chleuh's (The biggest Amazigh tribe in Morocco) seem to have a lot in common. They dont allow mixing between people of another tribe/race unless its a related one (Chechens with Ingush and Circassians and Chleuh's with other Amazigh tribes like Riffian and Kabyle). Also both are very conservative. Can any Chleuh or Moroccan confirm this?

What is Arbitration? (Qu’est-ce que l’arbitrage ?)
Arbitration is when parties agree to resolve a legal dispute (litige juridique) not in a public court (tribunal public) but before an arbitrator (arbitre). In simpler terms, it is a private process where the case is handled outside the public court system.
Why Choose Arbitration? (Pourquoi l’arbitrage ?)
The reasons for choosing arbitration can vary, but generally, people think arbitration is better because:
1. Specialized professionals (professionnels spécialisés): Arbitrators are often experts in specific fields and can handle technical details that a regular judge might not understand.
2. Privacy (confidentialité): Unlike public courts, arbitration keeps the case confidential. For example, companies like Apple prefer arbitration because if they lose, the case details won’t be published.
3. Cost-effective (rentable): It is often believed that arbitration is cheaper than going to court (more on this later).
So, in principle, arbitration is considered cheaper, private, and handled by specialists.
The Reality of Arbitration (La réalité de l’arbitrage)
1. Is Arbitration Really Cheaper? (L’arbitrage est-il vraiment moins cher ?)
While arbitration is believed to save time (and therefore money), this is only true for high-value cases (affaires de grande valeur). For smaller disputes, arbitration can be very expensive.
Example:
Imagine we have a dispute:
• Arbitrators’ fees (honoraires des arbitres): Arbitrators are usually top experts. Each may cost 10,000 MAD minimum. With three arbitrators, that’s 30,000 MAD.
• Hearing location (lieu des audiences): Renting a space for hearings might cost 5,000–10,000 MAD per session. For three sessions, that’s 15,000 MAD.
• Minute-taker (greffier): A professional to write the minutes might charge 7,000 MAD.
• Legal advisors (conseillers juridiques): Both sides need lawyers or arbitration specialists. Each might charge 30,000 MAD or more.
In total, arbitration could cost over 100,000 MAD, which is unaffordable for small disputes.
2. Risk of Bias
Arbitration can become a shadow court (tribunal de l’ombre), especially if the other party is a big company (grande entreprise). Large corporations may influence arbitrators to act in their favor, leaving you at a disadvantage.
3. No Real Appeal (Pas de véritable recours)
In arbitration, you cannot appeal (vous ne pouvez pas faire appel) the decision like in a normal court. You can only challenge the procedure (procédure) if it wasn’t followed correctly.
Example:
In public courts (tribunaux publics), you have three chances to challenge a judgment:
1. First Instance Court (tribunal de première instance)
2. Court of Appeal (cour d’appel)
3. Supreme Court (cour suprême)
However, in arbitration, there is no such process. If the arbitrator’s decision is unfair, you can only object if there was a procedural mistake, not because the decision itself was wrong.
Conclusion
While arbitration may work well for large companies (grandes entreprises), I do not recommend signing contracts with arbitration clauses (clauses d’arbitrage) unless you are confident you can handle the cost (coût), long process (longueur de la procédure), and risks (risques) involved.
