I read online that foreigners can't own a motorcycle in Morocco unless it is 50cc. Can anyone explain to me what the law says? I would honestly be happy with a 125cc but a 50cc is just too small...

What if it turned out that the Land your house is built on was sold to someone else?
Our neighbor just showed up with a document claiming that the land our houses are built on was sold to their grandfather in the 1930s by someone else "a distant relative". They plan to take this to court. I’m just wondering, what could be the possible outcome if this goes to a court of law?

Visiting Morocco First Time
Hello everyone.
Delete if this is tagged incorrectly or considered irrelevant to the subreddit.
My girlfriend and I will be visiting Morocco in a few days. We’ll be staying around Marrakech and Fez with a possibility of visiting Casablanca. We are from Ohio, United States, so I am just curious if there is any advice you’d give or any recommendations for what to see.
We are interested in history, architecture, and culture (I am studying anthropology). We were also planning to hike close to the Sahara however there is some anxiety we have due to the recent UN envoy recommending a partition of Western Sahara.
Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated

My Grandmas sink and toilets were stolen/morocco justice system sucks
Just a lil rant but tell me why someone decided to scam my poor old grandma, she put her house up for rent (which she used all her retirement funds to pay for) since she was traveling out of the country and she came back and the tenants decided that they didn’t want to pay rent and completely took over her house, refusing that the house was ever owned by her. After 5 years of tears and having to work to pay for a different apartment and many years of back and forth to the court and delays in her case she finally somewhat got justice! TELL ME WHY THE LADY LEFT WITH THE SINK, TOILET, BIDETS, OUTLETS, AND THE DOOR KNOBS OF THE HOUSE. ALL SHE DIDNT TAKE WAS THE PAINT OFF THE WALLS. anyways let me know if you guys have any suggestions on how she should get all this stuff back or if there’s any point of even trying. Should I start a go fund me for her??

Best hiking in Morocco?
Going to Morocco with my new girlfriend this spring. She’s sportier than I am and has been taking me on her favorite hikes. On the other hand, I’m more well traveled than she is and this will be her first big trip away from home.
She’s super interested in taking some hikes, adventures, etc. My guess it would be good to get a group.

My name is amine and i am married 30 years old and with a son. i am getting sick of living in the us . from crimes to things being expensive . I was suggested by some friends that if i have money and i bring it in to morocco and open up a business or buy a land and get money from the government for agriculture or real estate i can make same amount of money as in the us but the cost of living would be cheap along with quality of life being better than in the us being close to family and friends . what do you all think ?

The French-speaking shaming trend in Morocco is reaching excessive proportions
Okay so here’s an unpopular opinion and I’m glad I can say it here anonymously:
It’s not a productive trend to reject French to such an extreme extent or shame anyone who dares to speak it.
This trend serves no one, least of all Generation Z. I understand that the obsession with speaking French perfectly, and the shaming in the past when people made mistakes, may have created an aversion to the language. But we cannot let this aversion swing us to the opposite extreme.
The argument that French is the colonizer’s language doesn’t hold up when you consider that English, too, was spread by colonization. Yes, English is more globally useful than French, but that doesn’t mean the two languages cannot coexist in your skillset. Your brain is perfectly capable of learning both, alongside Arabic, Amazigh, and even dialects, if you allow it.
Unless you have the privilege of starting your own business by some family financial leverage, chances are you’ll have to study, take exams, and work in French. Your future managers or supervisors, most likely from Generation X or Millennials will predominantly communicate in French!
French is an elegant language, admired globally for its sophistication and charm. Instead of rejecting it for English, why not embrace both? It’s not about choosing one over the other ! It’s about recognizing that languages are tools of empowerment. Speaking languages is knowledge and knowledge is always power !

Hello everyone,
I’m a Moroccan currently living and working in Germany as an engineer. I’ve recently received a great job offer in Tanger, and the salary is higher than what I currently earn in Germany. I’m seriously considering accepting it because it’s a chance to come back home while advancing my career.
However, one concern I have is the cost of good healthcare in Morocco. Here in Germany, healthcare is very affordable through insurance, and I’ve gotten used to regularly visiting the dentist for professional cleanings and going to doctor’s appointments without breaking the bank.
For those living in Morocco, how much do these kinds of healthcare services usually cost if you pay out-of-pocket? Also, are there good health insurance options in Morocco that cover things like dental care, regular check-ups, or specialist visits? How reliable and accessible is healthcare in Tanger specifically?
