Just got diagnosed with adhd after 18 years of thinking that i was just born wrong
Hello am 18, i lived in morocco from 2010 to 2018, i have always been a different kid from other (especially in morocco) teachers used to yell at me for forgetting to do homework (they usually thought i just hide my homework from my parents) and or get yelled at because i keep getting distracted and because i cant stay still. Outside i was a menace to everything and anything i was so impulsive i burned a towel because i got obsessed by fire right after Ayshoura, kids never wanted to play with me because i had a hard time understanding rules or understanding them (same goes for them) and this condition made me feel so lonely and made me feel like everyone else my age was more mature than me, i got finally diagnosed last week, my mom is trying to open herself and understand me bit by bit (still hard) my dad thinks he spoiled me a bit too much or i just didn’t get enough spanking as a kid, i tried explaining to him how big of a deal cleaning the mess in my room was for me and he said its because am lazy, tried talking about my mood swings and stress and he kept saying that will all have this things
How can i explain adhd to my moroccan parents?

Need your help and honest opinions
Hello everyone.
I wanted this opinion from a Moroccan point of view.
THANK YOU MODS FOR LETTING ME POST THIS. 🙏
I have nothing against Moroccans and I love your country. Hope I don’t offend anyone.
I’m an Indian here and my brother has married a Moroccan.
They got married in a court marriage set up 2 years ago.
My brother did bring her to India when they got married and introduced her to all of us. But there are some very fishy things about their marriage and hence wanted your opinion.
My brother is currently living in Doha as he works there.
1) His wife had initially told my brother that her family will organise a marriage function there in Morocco for her relatives. They didn’t do so. No function was organised whatsoever and she said Moroccans don’t spend on marriages like Indians do. (Whereas I’ve read the exact opposite on this sub that Moroccans do love to spend on marriages just like Indians)
2) She tells my brother that she has this gastrointestinal issue because of which she stays mostly in Morocco even after marriage. ( in 2 years of her marriage, she has stayed in Morocco for 1.5 years) as according to her doctors aren’t good in Qatar. My brother even brought her here in india to get her medical tests done (all her reports were normal) but she still keeps complaining of stomachache which may be true but as her reports are normal there definitely won’t be anything that serious for her to stay in Morocco for 1.5 years.
3) My brother has visited Morocco only once before they got married and her family didn’t even take my brother to their house. They all met in a hotel somewhere in Casablanca. The reason they gave is that a lot of people wanna marry my sister in law in the area where she grew up as she’s very pretty (which she definitely is) and so it may cause fights if someone sees my brother in that area.
4) I do follow her on Instagram. She has literally NEVER posted a picture of my brother/ anything related to him. I don’t think this is normal honestly as she posts pictures of herself on Instagram.
5) My brother pays for everything (which is justified but I’m just mentioning it). He sends money for her parents and her siblings back in Morocco too.
6) She is the sweetest person to talk to. Anyone who would talk to her would fall in love with her. She’s extremely kind and beautiful. And so it’s difficult for me to believe these things.
I really need your help people

Morroco visit and rant
I am visiting with my little family to Morocco and it includes a child.
I am tired of reading everywhere people talking about how bad morroco is, how much scams are there or how unsafe it is for people!
It maybe so ! Or it may not be so...
Well I can't imagine that the entire country is like that, I will rather trust that it is a story of a few bad apples.
But entire Reddit and YouTube and everywhere, it's just about how unsafe is morroco and what a nightmare it is!
BUT ofcouse there must be several aspect to praise morroco for, what about them?!
My dear friends from Morocco, I trust you and your country, YOU - the young ones, I am sure you will do things to make your country name shine and make it more accomodating for everyone.
Now that being said, I am coming here for 7 days trip, with first and last day in Marrakech..
I am not interested in shopping but I am more interested in seeing your beautiful country, the best Morocco has to offer in terms of Beauty of land and its culture. Please help me plan, I would like to spend a night in a desert as well.

Whats happening to tangier??
It made me sad today coming back to Tangier after a few years away. I was shocked by the number of young beggars asking for money. One guy was selling socks and stopped me in the street. I didn't want to buy any, so I politely said, Thank you, I'm okay. He then started insulting me for no reason, which was shocking.
In the same street, I encountered 7 to 10 young lads asking for money. I had been planning to go for a walk along the beach, but this experience really put me off. I just came back to my hotel room , made me depressed 😔

Why people can't respect their places in the train ?
F train grand ligne there's an option, recently added, when you buy ticket online katdir fiha choisir mon emplacement. I always choose window seat. It's the comfiest one so you could lay your head 3la the window to sleep and put your stuff on the table.
I always find someone sitting there and when I say, nicely, of course dude/khti this is my seat they say well li hdaha is mine, just sit there :) Seriously? If I choose a window one, I'll sit there.
If someone is old, pregnant, sick, disabled, I really understand otherwise if you're young why the fuck you can't respect your assigned seat ? They used to complaining about the train being all crowded and now .....
I feel I look like a karen complaining about it but 3yiiit with navette and don't get me started on shab loud videos without headphones.

My brother is a Sociopath
My little bro had a very normal and happy childhood, he was a very kind and outgoing kid, always went out of his way to help people. Basically he was totally normal until around the age of 20-21, started catching him watching some really really vile videos (I'll spare you the details but most of it is people getting seriously hurt, like Cartel beheadings and ISIS shit), when i demanded an explanation he just said it was out of morbid curiosity so i just brushed it off although the amount of disturbing content he was watching was concerning.
Then something changed in him, he stopped talking to his friends and barely conversed with his own family, he began to act really strange and sometimes he'd get extremely violent.
I have reasons to suspect that this POS feels pleasure when he sees people crying or when they're in pain, i'm 100% certain of it. At this point, I'm really worried about the possibility of him becoming a serial killer, I'm heartbroken by the fact that I'm legit scared of my own brother.
What happened to him? Where is the sweet and kind boy i grew up with? What can i do in this situation, should I report him to someone?

You input on family drama
I am asking for your input in a family matter since I don't talk about this to many people. I just want to get some perspective from other people.
The drama is with my father. We were raised as a poor family, my father worked all day. I barely see him at night. So we didn't really have any time together. So I grew up almost without a fatger, no conversation... well he wasn't there most of the time. I only had contact with mom, a lot of it. And she was telling me a lot of things about him. So I kinda knew him through her. She mostly says negative things.
So this is the context. In the times we have interactions I notice things that don't allign with my values: he insults customers, he lies a lot. He basically stole money from a lot of business partners... so he wasn't an honest man. I always judged him for that. But what I judged the most was that he was never there for me. No one taught me to stand up for myself or basic skills. My mom taught me a lot of things but a lot was missing. I mean skills to be independent and moral alignment. That was completely absent from my father. He was a very bad example. And I also wished to have a different family that valued the things I cared about. I was a nerd and never felt supported or understood. I didn't even get books to read when I was so nerdy... I mean I didn't ask for expensive shit or games. Just maybe books or something to support my curiosity and desire to explore the world and life. Instead I just got tv and being indoors 24/7. I felt like a caged bird... anyway I had a lot of things to resent my parents for especially my father since he had the upper hand in everything.
I just wasn't happy until I was 17 then something happened that made me hate my father. A true hatred. Even though I know he spent his days working to keep food on table for us, that just wasn't enough for me. I hated him with my whole heart. What happened was just that he disrespected me in a way that made me feel like a burden to him. I had to fight my way against him to go to the college I wanted when he'd rather just keep me home and wait for me to be married.
I got what I wanted in the end but I just hated him and hated that I wasn't financially independent yet to break free from him.
It was disappointment after disappointment with him that, I got to the point where I couldn't stand being with him in the same room, even if he does or says nothing. Just his existence was repulsive to me.
The last thing was that he committed a crime, so bad that many of my relatives stopped to talking to him. And I cut him off since. It wasn't for that crime. But I hated him and used that as an excuse to not talk to him.
So what I want to ask you is, do you think I judged him harshly or that cutting him off was unfair?
I will still hate him, that's not changing. But I'm thinking of the moral question here.

2024 Real Estate in Casablanca = Morocco’s New York, fr.

2024 Real Estate in Casablanca = Morocco’s New York, fr.
# The Vibe:
Apartment Prices: Average is 16,457 MAD/m². Say you’re looking at an 80m² spot (pretty standard size). Do the math: 16,457 x 80 = 1,316,560 MAD. That’s 1.3 mil for a basic apartment.
Average Salary: Roughly 4,000 MAD/month. Spoiler alert: it’s not adding up.
# The Unreal Math (If You Spent EVERYTHING on It):
How Long to Buy It?
Entire salary = 27.4 years (329 months).
No food, no rent, no life. Just vibes and real estate dreams.
# A "Realistic" Scenario (But Is It Really?):
1. Down Payment: You need 20% upfront, which is 263,312 MAD.
Saving 20% of your salary (800 MAD/month): Takes you 27.4 years. Same struggle.
Saving 50% of your salary (2,000 MAD/month): Still 11 years to save for just the down payment.
2. Mortgage Time:
Assuming a 5% interest over 20 years, your monthly payment = 7,961 MAD.
Problem? You’re earning 4,000 MAD. You’d need:
Another income (dual incomes.)
A smaller place (tiny apartment, tiny life).
Side hustles galore.
# Who Can Even Afford This?
Employed: Only the top 10% of earners (dual incomes, big jobs, rich parents). Everyone else? Forget it.
Bardine Lktaf : Zero shot. If you can’t save, you can’t buy. Simple.
Illiteracy: Cities with lower literacy rates (some hover around 85%) face fewer high-paying job opportunities. Low income = no homeownership dreams.
# The Reality Check:
Casablanca’s real estate is wild. With a price-to-salary ratio of 41 years, the dream of owning a place is out of reach for most. It’s giving New York prices, Morocco wages.
TL;DR: Only the top earners can afford apartments here. Everyone else? Rent and hustle

How do you deal with procrastination and laziness
I used to be a hardworking little guy. 3 years ago, I had the energy to stay over 10 hours a day in front of my old computer.
Despite the "imposter syndrome" and "you'll never make it" toughts that you get as a self-taught person, I continued learning. I'm now in a multinational company in Morocco and have built/contributed to many projects with many people/clients around the world.
Everything started changing lately (this year). I used to love the thrill of building new things and solving complex problems, but now, even simple tasks feel tedious. I'm struggling to focus, and I've lost my motivation.
I have too many pending tasks and personal projects to work on, but instead, I'm navigating Reddit, Instagram, watching a TV show... It's just like my brain escapes working and seeks other sources of dopamine.
A colleague recently saw me looking a bit tired. After explaining to her what I'm facing, she told me few words that I can't get out of my mind:
"I think you worked too hard that you became fully consumed."
This can't be real as I'm only 22 years old.
Has anyone else experienced this? How did you overcome burnout and regain your passion? How do you focuse on your goals and manage you time ? and how to convince your brain to enjoy learning/working instead of wasting time
Any advice would be greatly appreciated :D

Hypocrites at work
Hi :-)
I wanted to talk about something that’s been bothering me for a while. There's this colleague who seems to mimic everything I do, from the clothes I wear to the way I talk. It's starting to feel like she’s copying me on purpose, and while I don’t mind people being inspired by others, it feels a bit too much when it goes beyond that. What really gets to me, though, is that whenever I interact with others or just happen to be near her, she starts to subtly attack me or make snide comments.
Plus, It's like she plays the calm, collected, modest girl, but honestly, there's a lot of passive aggression and underhanded behavior. It's frustrating because she’s acting all sweet but is actually being pretty crazy behind the scenes.
How do you guys deal with hypocrites at work ? Should I give her the silent treatment even if it’s not a recommended thing to do or ?
