Prooblems with student visa appointment for Germany in Rabat!
Hello,
Well I'm a bit fucked I guess since I didn't realize that there's this whole appointment scandal and waiting list, and application period sort of opens soon.
I just read that it's super hard to find an appointment and I can't find any when I logged in to the TLS website and that Germany also takes a while to process your application so I'm just trying to I don't know not fuck up and actually leave this September and not have this pushed longer.
Does anyone know how the process works? What dates are appointments released? How long does it take?
Also how do people reserve spots with other passport numbers and resell them to other people, how does that work? Wouldn't the passport number being different cause issues?
But yeah any advice or help or if there's anyone who went through this here and could share his experience,

Car rental scam
Hi Moroccans, I‘m a Moroccan national living abroad, I rented a car that was delivered to me with less functionalities compared to what I saw online and payed for.
I asked beforehand if the vehicle has navigation and help camera, they said yes but later these were not available in the car.
I offered a friendly remediation to them, they disagreed, I‘m now considering starting a legal procedure, I don’t want for these people to not taste the consequences of their actions. I will appreciate any advice or recommendation.

How can I send money abroad through remitly ?
So I just discovered that I live in a secluded community where I can’t even send 200dh for a consultation abroad !
I wondered around banks , and cash plus to see if I can send money abroad and everyone gave me these weird looks as if I was speaking Swahili. One women in line even said I shouldn’t send money to Pakistan cause they’ll suspect I’m a terr*rist …💀
So I NEED YOUR HELP please the people who have successfully sent money abroad to non relatives how did you do it ? Whether it’s through remitly or something else.
P.S It’s important, I really need therapy lol

Do Moroccans feel more allegiance to Africa or the Middle East? Whom do you feel closer to?
Reposting because last one was locked by some hella bizzare mod:
For instance: do you feel more cultural similar/closer to Senegal or Syria?
I always considered you all an African “form” of Arab but recently —for good reason of course—the Arab thing has been pushed against by social media Moroccans.
That makes me wonder: who do you feel closer to? Most importantly: who do you feel more allegiance to if the two were to go to war for instance?
Disclaimer: I’m very, very aware there is no singular African culture. I’m very aware if nothing changed about Moroccan history and culture, but you all woke up tomorrow as “black people”, then this topic would cease to exist.
But… you are majority non-black in a majority black continent so it does make us sorta wonder… would you really chose a black continent (majority anyways) over people who at least superficially “look” like you? Perhaps that is somewhat answered by the fact Morroco is in the Arab Union and not the African Union but, I’m wondering about people sentiment not governments.

What is your success story?
I would like to spread some postivity and thought it would be great if everyone could share 1 success story about themselves from 2024.
We as Moroccans are sometimes really critical of ourselves. So, lets take a moment to "celebrate" eachothers success. It can be anything in your personal or professional life, small or big, it doesn't matter!
To kick off, my success story is that in 2024 I am/was not afraid to prioritize myself over others. I learned how to say "NO" in my professional and personal life. I still feel guilty sometimes but it's an amazing succes for a people pleaser like myself.

I missed my flight to Morocco
Ewa a syadi n3awdha likom ki lkhrafa, I came to the airport at 11 and the flight was until 2, so I checked in and was waiting for the monitor to display the flight details (the gate number) I was waiting for a long time and confused on how it’s 13:44 and there is no gate number on the monitor TURNS OUT THE MONITORS WERE LAGGED yes literarily lagged and that costed me the flight from Italy to Madrid and the OTEHR flight I had to take to Morocco, but I rebooked a flight for tmrw even tho we got no money back or anything, the worker just said “next time try to hear the announcements” knt ghantf mha sa3a I stayed calm…. Who’s fault is this ??? Idk tbh

What kind of people call people at 2am?
I understand some people are night owls but 2am?! Exchanged numbers with someone yesterday only to be awoken at 1:45am. I didn't answer of course. Then in the morning, I see they in fact had called me twice likely to awaken me. Like what kind of bad manners is this? Is this normal when meeting new people?

Is it ok to travel to Marrakesh during Ramadan ?
Hello,
I’m planning to travel to Morocco (Marrakesh) with my wife, and it seems that the period we’ve chosen overlaps with Ramadan. We are not muslim and I would like to know if restaurants serve food as usual or if there are any restrictions, and whether their schedules, as well as those of shops, remain normal or are affected by this holiday. Similarly, I’m interested in whether public transportation and taxis are impacted during this time.

Hiii, I'm from Oujda but I was born and currently live in Spain. I'm visiting oujda this winter for personal reasons but I also want to get to know my city. What do you recommend visiting/doing? My teacher demand me to make a project of Power Point about luxury cars (Rolls-Royce, Lamborghini, Ferrari, Aston Martin, Bugatti). i almost complete the project but i miss one thing the price of the car of these brands, i can make a curreny exchange (Dollar to Dirham) but the price will be completely false, so i ask yous to give me the exact or (very close to the exact)

J’apprends le darija marocain
Pour faire court, mon beau-père est marocain et je (23F) vais au Maroc tous les étés depuis mes 5 ans.
Je n’ai jamais vraiment appris la langue car mon papa (mon beau-père) faisait la traduction.
Pour la première fois, je suis chez mes tantes seule.
Elles ne parlent pas un mot de français et pour leur dire des choses importantes j’utilise ChatGPT mais j’essaie plutôt de comprendre et de parler moi-même.
Tout à l’heure elles me parlaient très vite et j’étais comme : 😐
Puis ma tante a dit à l’autre : Ma katfhamsh
Et j’ai dit : wa, ma fhamtch
Et elles étaient désolées elles m’ont fait comprendre que c’était pas méchant
Je sais que ce n’était pas méchant mais c’est drôle qu’une des seules choses que je comprenne c’est : elle ne comprend pas

Where to get rabies vaccine in Marrakech?
Hi, I got scratched this morning by a kitten trying to steam my food in Merzouga. I'm on a bus heading to Marrakech and want to find a clinic that can give me rabies vaccines.
