Morroccan software engineers that started with 12-15 k/month, how did you evolve troughout the years salary wise and how ?
Hey everyone, Alhamdoulilah i started working in a company as a software engineer and my salary now is 14.4K/m, but to my surprise i found out that theres no real evolution here salary wise, so eventualy in few years i'm going to need to switch, but i don't have a reference, i've heard of companies paying 25k for 3 years of experience but i don't have names or any idea on their specific needs, if anyone can share their path or at least the salary range they earned troughout their years of expérience i would be very thankfull

Why are there so many fires in Morocco recently?
I just saw a video of a fire in a restaurant in Fez. Not so long ago, there was a fire in Agadir, not so long before that, a fire somewhere else, I don't really remember. But I'm seeing fires in the news and on social media quite frequently.
Is this some kind of trend? Maybe better media coverage for fires? Or just simply some arsenist doing a a tour of Morocco?

How do I get a police report in Morocco?
My family and I have tried contacting the authorities in Morocco but every time we try to call they either hang up or they don’t even bother answering and the line keeps ringing. There is no website from what I can see and my family and I are in Canada. My uncle is a Canadian Citizen that was travelling in Morocco at the time of his death. He died on the road to Tangiers after visiting Moulay Bousselham beach and was taken to Lellem Mariam hospital in Larache I believe. We just want to know what exactly happened there and what the police report says. Any information or guidance would be much appreciated! Thank you

Morocco is NOT a 67IQ average country 😭
I've seen some people here unironically think that the average person in Morocco has an iq of 67. This is legitimately one of the stupidest things I've heard in my life and simple research skills can disprove the claim entirely in 2 minutes.
The people who claim this always quote this article from MoroccoWorldNews, which cites this article from CEOWORLDMAGAZINE, which describes itself as "the world’s leading business magazine for CEOs, CFOs, high-level executive professionals, business leaders, and high net worth individuals". A very trustworthy scientific source indeed. The article they wrote cites ZERO sources. They didn't even copy them from a random research paper on Google Scholar or Wikipedia, no they don't cite shit, it's all "according to research" or worse, "CEOWORLD magazine published a research study".
Now let's assume that the 67iq claim comes from a 100% trustworthy source. That doesn't make it anymore believable. At 60-70iq people can barely harvest vegetables or repair furnitures. Also, the claim is that the "average" iq is 67, that means that a SIGNIFICANT portion of the population has an IQ way inferior to 60, meaning they aren't even able to function properly as human beings, probably closer to chimps or animals. Btw, """research""" also claims that nepal has an average iq of 42...
Now it's true that there are a lot of very stupid and uneducated people in Morocco. A simple walk in the street could prove that: people walking on the road instead of the large sidewalk, among other things I don't have to cite here. I'm not denying that. We still have a lot to improve in education. But it's tiring to see the "THIS 67IQ SHITHOLE WILL NEVER [...\]" comment everytime there's a post denouncing a legitimate problem.

مرحباً جميعاً،
تمت سرقة هاتفي في إسبانيا وانتهى به الأمر في طنجة، تحديداً في سوق كاساباراطا. قمت بتتبع الهاتف باستخدام "Find My iPhone"، وذهبت مؤخراً إلى السوق ووجدت أن الهاتف كان على بُعد 5-10 أمتار من الموقع الظاهر في الفيديو أعلاه. كان الهاتف متصلاً عبر البلوتوث مع ساعتي الذكية عندما كنت هناك.
ذهبت مع الشرطة، لكنهم لم يكونوا مفيدين على الإطلاق، وقالوا إنه طالما لم نتمكن من رؤية الهاتف مباشرة، فلا يمكنهم فعل أي شيء آخر. من المحتمل أن الهاتف مخبأ في درج أو في الجزء الخلفي من أحد المحلات.
هذا الهاتف مهم جداً بالنسبة لي لأنه يحتوي على العديد من الصور الثمينة لي ولزوجتي من رحلاتنا هذا العام. أنا مستعد لدفع مكافأة قدرها 250 يورو لأي شخص يمكنه استرجاع الهاتف لي.

Hello everyone, My phone was stolen in Spain and ended up in Tangier, specifically in the CasaBarata Market. I tracked the phone using Find My iPhone, I recently went to the market and found that the phone was within 5–10 meters of the video above. The phone was connecting via Bluetooth to my smartwatch when I was there. I went with the police, but they were not helpful at all, since we couldn’t see the phone directly, they said they couldn't do anything more. It’s likely hidden in a drawer or in the back of one of the stores. This phone is very important to me as it contains many precious photos of me and my wife from our travels this year. Why Does Every Debate Turn Into a Fight?
So, with this whole draft family code thing I’ve been thinking. On one side, you’ve got conservatives saying:”Don’t touch it it’s our religion!” and on the other, progressives shouting, “We need big changes now!” And honestly,fair enough everyone’s entitled to their opinion.
But what’s really getting to me isn’t the law itself,it’s how we handle these debates as a society. Like, why does every disagreement turn into a full blown fight? People throwing around words like “traitor” or “non-believer” just because someone doesn’t agree with them. Where’s the middle ground?
I feel like we’ve forgotten how to actually talk to each other. You don’t have to agree with everyone, but maybe, just maybe, we can stop attacking each other for having different views? It’s scary how divided we’ve become and honestly I don’t think it’s helping anyone.

Lately i got involved in a car accident.
We was on a taxi and a dacia driver hit us, i didnt get his contact or any information about him, taxi driver sadly died, i and my friend got out with minor injuries, since the driver died i wonder what the punishment for the dacia driver is? We was doing a U-turn on a crosswalk, limit was 40kmh but the guy was doing like 65, will the guy be in jail? If so how long, he was like 28 and its sad seeing his life getting ruined cuz of it!

Why Moroccans consider philosophy useless, negative and even atheist ?
I started a youtube channel a month ago on youtube to share my passion and/or obsession with researching existance. It deals with philosophy, history and science in darija.
The issue is, on my fifth video, my mom calls me, tears in her eyes, tells me how all her friends believe her son is spreading atheism.
I started with a video series on psychoanalysis (jungian) and it builds up towards how religion and god bridges the conscious and unconscious instead of the permanent conflict people suffer from.
I could'nt tolerate the situation i put my parents in, knowing they live in a small conservative city. So i took down all my videos.
How could people think that philosophy which literally means Love of divine wisdom (philo - sophia) is an atheist approach ?
I tried so hard to avoid speaking about islam or even use religious terms just to avoid the sensitivity around the subject.
I feel devastated, confused and lost as to what my next step should be.
Should i double down and explain myself in a video or just give in to ignorance for the sake of my parents ?

Hey reddit, I wrote a post a month ago about a dude who 21 years old that scammed me from a 11,000 dh bc of a check without money! Yesterday he got arrested and his family were begging me and they are not financial stable at all and I did tanazol for 6000 dh ! Did I do the Right thing? some ppl said I should've got the whole 11,000 dh or sent him to jail! And some making fun of me bc I lost my laptop and my PC and camera and I only got 6000 dh! Did I do the right thing ?
