Hi does anyone know if Moroccan airports have the same 100ml liquid rule

I’m due to fly back home tomorrow from Agadir :( and have purchased a bottle of Argan oil, when I got home I realised it’s 125 ml & not 100 really not trying to get something I paid good money for confiscated, otherwise I will have to see if I can find travel bottle’s somewhere.

2bac pc students

Hello, I hope I was able to convey my thoughts clearly. I am a second-year baccalaureate student specializing in Physical Sciences (French option). With the national exam approaching, I have been searching for methods to help me achieve excellent results. I have tried many of them, and while they were good, I have a significant problem: I am isolated, and this has led to burnout.

I feel like I’m doing nothing and have lost the spark to study because I am mentally, physically, and emotionally drained. After reflecting on my situation, I realized that my environment is toxic and negatively affects me. My surroundings are pessimistic and full of people who blame others or external factors for their failures instead of taking responsibility, which I dislike.

Recently, I thought of a solution: finding someone with the same drive to succeed in this exam so that we can motivate and help each other.

If anyone has insights or feedback on what I’ve shared, I’d greatly appreciate it. If this solution is not the right one, I hope someone can guide me. Thank you.

Pigeons as food or taboo?

How are for-food pigeons selected in Morocco? How do I know that one is safe to eat?

I'm asking this from someone from a country where pigeons are not culturally edible (please understand). However, I'm also from a place that probably eats animals, or parts of them, that you probably don't. After all, Morocco is very diverse, and this sub is it, too.

I'm completely open to eating pigeons, but I would like to know what you think because I come from a place (in South America) where they are seen as a city plague and not as food.

I need local knowledge!! haha

I don’t want to feel like a colonizer

So I’m a Mexican currently visiting Morocco and I’m wondering which language I should choose to communicate with you guys. I speak fluently English and French but I know for the last time I came here that most people tend to not like speaking French. I’ve seen lots of French people come here and behave like neocolonizers and want everyone to speak French and I have been told that during the last decades English language has gained some terrain here. What do you think guys? Should I use first English or French to communicate with everyone here? Sadly I just know a few word in Darija. Thanks and I know the struggle of having to deal with these tourists that behave as neocolonizers.

How to react when witnessing male harassement or abuse towards a woman on the street ?

Hello everyone,

So I(F20) was wondering what’s the best way (wisest way) to react when we witness a situation when a man harasses or mistreats a woman in the public space without making the situation worse or more critical

I’m asking this because I’m tired of the passivity of people !! I believe that if we implement small actions or efforts to defend women, it could lead to an improvement in the women’s cause also it could change how women are respected in the “moroccan common sense” and society ( I hope so…)

But at the same time I don’t want to create violence or draw attention from police officers yk…

So any advice or experience to share please ?

Thanks ;)

Drari jani wahed lwesswass, with all the technology we carry around, it feels like privacy is getting harder to protect.

Do you think that govs listen to us when we don't use our phones when they're put aside? Awla 3arfin bli we all criticize politicians so they don't care.

Thank you Morocco, the country of my adopted daughter.

I wanted to share our story as a gesture of appreciation and gratitude to the beautiful country of Morocco and its wonderful people.

We’re an Egyptian-American family. Our oldest daughter was adopted from Egypt, and last year, we were blessed to adopt our second daughter, a baby girl from Taroudant, Morocco.

The adoption process took a few months, and during that time, we had the chance to live in the southern Sous region, near Taroudant. We absolutely loved it—the incredible food (best goat Tajin ever!), warm winter weather, lovely and friendly people, charming Medina walls and streets, and the lively old Souks.

Everyone involved in the process was so helpful. The Royal Gendarmerie, court clerks, and social workers were incredibly supportive, especially when they learned we’re originally from Egypt. The toughest part, as a U.S.-based family, was completing the immigration paperwork. But while waiting for the visa, we took the chance to explore more of Morocco, especially in the north, and it made us fall even more in love with the country.

We feel so privileged that our daughter is Moroccan, and we now proudly consider ourselves part Moroccan too. We made so many amazing friends during our stay and can’t wait to visit regularly—maybe even live there for extended periods.

Thank you for everything, Morocco ❤️🇲🇦

Side note: Our adoption process was through Islamic Kafalah (كفالة), which is similar to adoption but has its own unique principles.

Can 13,500 DH/Month Cover These Life Goals?

Imagine this scenario: A 6th-year medical student in Morocco is about to graduate and start working with the state, earning a salary of 13,500 DH per month. They already have an apartment in their parents’ house in Agadir, but it needs A LOT of renovations.

The big question is whether this salary can realistically cover these goals:

1. Renovating the apartment.
2. Buying a car
3. Saving up and preparing for a stable and independent life before turning 30.

Is it possible to balance all of these priorities with proper planning? Or is it better to focus on one or two goals at a time?

Would love to hear advice or experiences from others who’ve faced similar situations!

CMI Monopoly Under Fire: Morocco’s Payment Market Faces Major Reforms

Over the past two years, Morocco’s electronic payments sector has experienced significant changes, with the Centre Monétique Interbancaire (CMI) under scrutiny for its dominant market position. Here’s a timeline of key developments:

* **May 2023:** NAPS, a subsidiary of M2M, files a formal complaint with Morocco’s Competition Council, accusing CMI of maintaining a monopoly through anti-competitive pricing practices that hinder market entry for new players. [Source](https://en.7news.ma/key-ruling-approaches-in-naps-vs-cmi-dispute-over-payment-market-competition/)
* **September 2024:** As the Competition Council’s decision approaches, CMI proposes reforms, including transferring merchant contracts to independent entities and ensuring fair access to its technical infrastructure to address competition concerns. [Source](https://en.7news.ma/cmi-takes-steps-to-resolve-competition-concerns-amid-electronic-payments-dispute/)
* **November 2024:** The Competition Council orders CMI to implement measures that reduce its monopoly, aiming to create a more competitive and innovative environment in Morocco’s electronic payments industry. [Source](https://www.barlamantoday.com/2024/11/05/moroccos-competition-council-directs-cmi-to-reduce-dominance-in-electronic-payments/)

These developments mark a turning point in Morocco’s payment landscape, with efforts to break CMI’s monopoly and promote fair competition.

I need to get braces asap

I have always been insecure about my teeth (crooked lower teeth and an overbite).
I want to save up to get them because my parents refuse to let me get them because in their opinion i don't need them.

Does anyone know how much they cost or how much dentist here in Morocco charge, so I could know how much I need to save up? Please and thank you.
