I'm starting lose focus and control

Recently, I've been finding it difficult to continue doing 1 thing at a time, this is somehow not a problem during work, as I finish the task and move on, but it's like my mind is playing ADs when I'm at my own time, I find a good informative youtube video to watch, I'm enjoying it then I suddenly want to check something else, then I find new thing to do, then I focus on it for some time then I decide to change my direction again

This is not something I had before, and I'm rarely ever watching brainrot content, but my brain is forcing me to multi-task all the time

Going back to school (la fac) at 28

So long story short, I made some bad life choices and didn't listen to my parents when they told me "9ra mezyan" so ended up adab fl bac because I skipped half of my junior-school and early high-school years, and thanks to being decent in english (thanks to MBC2, MTV Arabia and Habbo) I did English studies.

Got deug, w got out worked in markets, shops, construction, had my own food stand karrossa, call center...You name it. Since 3 years landed a job in the fiber optic field, making around 5500-6000 a month. It sounds good but I know for plenty of reasons in my particular case it's an unstable job that can stop at any moment

My mom suggested that I go back to La Fac to pursue the degree in English Studies and try concours ta3lim. I don't want to do the same mistake and not listen to my parents and regret it again so I'm considering it, and need some advice on it :

Is it worth it?
If I don't get a job m3a dewla, can I have something sustainable? English Studies fiha chi afa9 chi haja?
Does it pay?

Thanks.

The Shame of Morocco: A Girl Dies, and We’re Still Pretending

https://preview.redd.it/xjtz9ta0zcne1.png?width=765&format=png&auto=webp&s=4659ec88ddf02f8c3504b92cb2b02fa50c0ade2b

Feeling heartbroken about the little girl Yusra from Berkane. How can someone die like that in 2025? Swept away by floods into a sewer it's just devastating. Allah ir7amha, that poor girl didn’t deserve this. And it makes me wonder, are we really the Morocco we keep cheering for? We’re supposed to host the World Cup, but stuff like this happens, and it’s a slap in the face.

I’m so tired of people glazing over the truth, acting like we’re better than other African countries. We’re not. We’re not developed, we’re not special people are dying in ways that shouldn’t even be possible anymore. It’s a shame, and honestly, how can we even be proud of being Moroccan when this is our reality? Everyone needs to think twice before pretending we’ve got it all figured out. Rest in peace, Yusra

Is hugging opposite gender sibling weird?

My husband is Moroccan and he got extremely jealous when my brother hugged me. Is this normal in Morocco? I'm very close to my family and we hug and joke always between each other.

Btw I remembered now when he was putting henna on his mom's feet. Personally, I have no issue with that, but fking double standard.

"Top School, But the Vibe is Off"

I’m studying at a prestigious engineering school in Rabat, but honestly, the vibe here kinda sucks. Most guys are just trying to flex and show off in front of girls instead of actually making real connections. It’s all about clout and looking cool, and I can’t seem to find a chill group of friends who just wanna hang out without all the fake stuff. I was hoping for a more mature and laid-back atmosphere, but it just feels like high school drama all over again.

If you're young and you're trying to get rich, the first thing to do is get a JOB

I see a lot of young people in my generation who have 0 money and keep thinking I should be opening a business, I should be invest in X Y or Z, and all I'm thinking is "Brother, you're BROKE"... It's so frustrating, people don't realize that to achieve anything you will most likely need to get a job first for 2 main reasons

You need Capital, starting with nothing or almost nothing is gonna be a lot of work with not enough returns to justify it, this applies to almost anything you can think of

You get experience from a job, you learn to do many things, even if you're not working in the domain you will be doing business in

I’m frustrated because of everything

It’s exhausting to live in a world where ignorance is rewarded, where trends dictate minds, and where manipulation is disguised as tradition or faith. I despise the cultural racism that fuels division, the mindless internet trends that encourage stupidity, and the people who exploit others' innocence for control. I hate the hypocrisy of those who twist religion to serve their own power, the men who mistake harassment for masculinity, and the women who tear each other down instead of lifting each other up. The internet, instead of being a space for knowledge and connection, has become a breeding ground for judgment, bullying, and fake authority. I am sick of a society that normalizes oppression, ignorance, and cruelty while silencing those who dare to think, question, or demand better.
What should i do ?

1.5 Years After Al Haouz Earthquake: Still homeless, still ignored, It's time for new elections in Morocco

Nearly a year and a half has passed since the devastating Al Haouz earthquake. Thousands of victims still live in tents, exposed to harsh conditions: cold, rain, snow, without adequate housing or support. Meanwhile, the Moroccan government continues to spend on extravagant projects that offer no relief to those who urgently need help.

At this point, it's clear: the government has failed. The Moroccan people deserve better.

I believe the King should dismiss this ineffective government immediately and call for early elections. The people must have the chance to elect representatives who will prioritize their real needs: safe homes, basic infrastructure, and dignity, not vanity projects.

It's time for accountability and change.

What do you think? Should the government resign and early elections be called?

The Blame Culture in Morocco

One of the worst relationship problems in Morocco is that no one takes responsibility, and everyone tries to point fingers, saying it's your fault and someone else's fault. People don't even try to solve the problem; they just keep shifting the blame onto others. This creates serious tensions, even in everyday relationships with family, friends, or at work. And don't even get me started on politics, where the only goal is to find scapegoats to appease the masses.

I find it completely stupid 😵‍💫.

Being told “machi khok”

Occasionally when messaging a male and calling him khoya I’ve been met with the response “machi khok” and I was wondering if I was being offensive or disrespectful by saying this?

I’m a British 25 year old learning darija (learning being a very loose term as I don’t have a teacher.)

I’m just asking this because I don’t want to do anything wrong or upset anybody.
