Horrible train ride experience

I honestly can't understand why people and their children behave this way yesterday I was on a train ride from my home City to the city that I study in and it was a 3-hour ride so I was there for a little while and all I was trying to do is read a book but in my cabin there were two old ladies and they had three kids with them, two boys and one girl all of them were I'm pretty sure below the age of seven and the way they behave and the way those two ladies behave and really like shows that they don't really care is what frustrated me even more those two ladies were just laughing and talking to each other the whole time and those kids were jumping everywhere and fighting with each other like I don't know how people can live like this and they see their children behave like this it's really sad in my opinion and annoying as well.

Moroccan Amazighia looking to learn Tamazight — where do I start?💖💖🙏🏻

Peace, mercy, and blessings of God be upon you all!
Hey Redditors :) I'm a Moroccan Amazighia, and my dad is Amazigh too. I've always felt deeply connected to the traditions of our ancestors and truly admire the richness of our history and how close-knit our communities are. There's just one thing that's been missing for me: the language.

Unfortunately, my grandparents chose not to teach my father Amazigh and only spoke to him in Arabic — which means I never got the chance to learn it growing up either. 😔

Now, I've decided I really want to reconnect with my roots and finally learn Amazigh! But I honestly have no idea where to begin. 😅

So here's my little shoutout:
👉 Is there a kind Amazigh or Amazighia here (preferably Moroccan 🇲🇦) who'd be willing to help me get started with the language? Even just tips or resources would mean the world! ❤️

Thanks in advance and tamurt-nwen i d-yennan!☺️
💫P.S. I’m asking this in a few relevant subreddits so I can get a range of perspectives — hope that’s okay!🥲

Lesson: Life isn’t fair

Salam alaykum, talking about job and stuff…

So I got kicked off my work because I was a good person and was trying to improve the company and I was not licking shoes. And they had a better option.

My advices that I want to share related to work before getting into details:

- People will try to pull you down, don’t listen to them
- Don’t stay silent, if something bothers you tell the person who is concerned or can help or both
- Love yourself first and others
- Do the job and show it to others, give it value if it’s worth it
- Don’t be shy to ask questions specially to N+1 workers, or to speak your thoughts

( can’t remember others but I have plenty I always note my thoughts on a note book )

I’ll tell you my experience and hope take some lessons and morals to help you tafa7a alkayl.

I’m not going to complain or to play the victim, but the job market is a mess, but as always alhamdou lillah for everything, after all I’m the only person that has to take responsibility of my situation.

I hold a master degree in industrial engineer, I was making some digital money here and there but it wasn’t stable.. but to be honest even though it wasn’t not a lot, I was learning and enjoying it and was more modern or dial had lwa9t style, not the traditional stuff of salary and lwra9, contract and people at work that they only think about them selfs …. Pfffff to many complexity but what can you do, life is meant to be like this.

My first job in the field of my studies - after a infinite applications and struggling, I was close to lose hope - was working for a multinational known company, they accepted me directly after the interview since my skills are more than sufficient for the job(that’s why you should learn and take actions and not wait for a job to make money you ahould build something on your own at the beginning), then after 2 months I quited to not get my hands dirty in war crimes, since the company build some military equipment, and with all what is going on in the east, specially palestine and israel… I didn’t think twice and told my manager that I’m not going to add a second in this job, he was surprised and was telling me that we are ethical… Rassi 9asse7. The pay was good for a beginner and the environment also, the people was respectful and didn’t have any problems or bad feelings.

Being unemployed for about 6 months, I was trying to make Halal money as much as possible ; not lying on my CV paying attention to not add Haram jobs and not lie on interviews … Telling the thrut and not fake anything… not like others that say “ Fake it until you make it “, I plus I can’t fake, I’m someone who is true can’t lie abiut anything. Yes I make mistakes but I’m taking responsibility of anything not blaming anyone.
I noticed that companies don’t like this kind of person, being honest can be perceived as not normal I think,

After 6-7 interviews traveling over cities, picking up dresses, and preparing my interviews…

I landed a job 2 months ago with a Moroccan company, all I can say is working for a multinational was a better experience; organisation, culture, the people were trying to be the best version of them, 3aks lkhedma f company Marocaine, khedma m3arbza, salaire taye7; first job salary/2( i accepted the salary because I was saying it’s better than nothing and i’ll be looking for better opportunities ), they were treating me like sht, to make it short you have to save yourself because no one will do it for you, instead they will pull you down and talk sht behind your back such a hypocrisy… stay away from it, be positive, try to help others but especially don’t forget yourself, set boundaries because people will not be able to know you unless you tell them who you are. And finally do your job and try to excel it because that’s the whole point of the job.

2 days ago my manager told my we’re stopping you because of an email I have sent to a supplier to ask them for a new product?! Is that a logic reason ? And saying you’re not respecting the confidentiality of the company.

They pushed our grandparents to leave, our parents too… now it’s us? 🇲🇦✈️🇪🇺🇺🇸🇬🇧🇨🇦🇶🇦🇸🇦🇦🇪

Salam friends,

Let me just get this off my chest.

Doesn’t it feel like everything is lowkey pushing to us leave?

You talk to family, friends, even strangers and it’s always:
“Chof lik chi visa”
“L’ghorba hiya l7al”
“Hna ma kaynach maydar”

But here’s the thing, this isn’t new. This has been built into the system since 1960. The state been playing this card for decades.

I've been researching flr a while and here's what i've found :

1963 – France deal: First official agreement. Within 10 years, over 100,000 Moroccans were working in French factories, mines, and farms.

1964 – Belgium deal: Around 20,000+ Moroccans brought in for mining and construction.

1969 – Netherlands agreement: Tens of thousands more. By the 70s, around 30,000 Moroccans were working in Dutch factories and ports.

1973 – Germany migration agreement: By the late 70s, 40,000+ Moroccans were in West Germany.

1990s – Spain & Italy wave: Moroccans shift focus to Southern Europe. By 2005, over 600,000 Moroccans settled in Spain & Italy combined.

2000s – Gulf migration rise: Young skilled + unskilled workers start heading to the Gulf. By 2020, over 300,000 Moroccans in UAE, Qatar, KSA.

2010s – Canada & US demand grows: Thousands of students and skilled workers go north. Around 120,000+ Moroccans now live in North America.

Now – 2024/2025: Public training programs literally aimed at giving you “exportable” skills to work outside Morocco.

So, it seems that the state actively wants people out.

Bofore it was through agreements and deals. Now its more subtle. They kind of create the pressure on people and portray leaving as a very good option.

It's like a strategy.
Empty the streets, calm the youth, and let the remittances flow.

So if you’re still here, you don't want to leave. You are fighting for something. you’re not behind. You should knkw that you are swimming against the flow and you have the high ground. Courage et force à toi.

And again, no hate for anyone who leaves. Sometimes lghorba is survival.

What about you?
Trying to leave ? Already abroad? Or still holding the line here?

Would love to hear your thoughts ❤️

I think I almost got attacked by a seagull 🤣🤣🤣

On the list of things I didn’t expect to happen to me in Morocco this probably ranks high. I was just vibing on my way to the shop and these seagulls are flying circles above me. Next thing I know one of them begins flying towards me repeatedly, making threatening noises and getting closer each time he flies by. I literally just screamed like lmao wtf.

Am I crazy for thinking this way?

Few days ago, I got into an ” Accident”.

I wanted to turn and a Glovo delivery guy on his phone in middle of the road going slowly wouldn’t take his lane so he lets me turns a droite.. he doesn’t want to go away so “ Kbrt dora” w xirit.. reckless driving I guess, I continued my route then I get followed by him recording me and telling me I flew the scene and that I hit a woman! I got so scared and I stopped the car telling him what is he all about and why is he recording me etc.. Anw turns out there was a motorcycle in my blind spot touchani mn lor or he got scared and lost equilibrium and his mom was with him. So I tell them if they’re okay, I check up on the mom ( I was wearing my medical uniform). And ask them if we should do constat or something. I look young and innocent and 5 men against me telling me I flew the scene and they will call the police and they’ll ruin my life and career if they do so, but luckily they’re good people and will settle for money. Anw stuff was weird I called my dad and when he said he gonna do constat they started running away. We ended up doing constat and they didn’t have insurance. I went today to police station to sign PV and the police officer tells me that they have to pay 6000dhs amende because they didn’t have insurance. ( My dad paid for their insurance btw). Anw this broke my heart for them, I feel really bad for them.

I’m privileged, grew up with money, my family has contacts. Even if I was in the wrong I’d be saved.

They’re poor, got legal histories, life was harsh on them, poverty brought up the worst out of them. They tried to harm me and scam me and it didn’t work out.

Man if I had money I’d pray for their 6000dhs amende ngl, Poverty really does bring out the worse in people and it’s just sad. Form their POV they probably feel resentment and 7i9d 3lia, for the whole situation even if they tried to hurt me and I had no such intentions. Idk guys

My childhood tr uma: update

Update: Despite the fact that I had this whole conversation with my aunt and said I'll try to move on without telling dad or reporting my 'uncle', I wasn't convinced. I was suffering alone when everybody was happy. I'm so sad mom doesn't really understand how it's hard to be in my shoes, she even decided to stay for more weeks in the house where my childhood trauma happened (and where that pig still lives) cuz she is visiting a doctor for sth. So I reached out to an organization 'Touchepasamonenfant" seeking help, and wanting to keep things discreet for now (cuz mom will be so angry if she knows what I'm trying to do, she would faint there or sth). And regarding dad, he's actually far away from us, about 6h away (as I said I'm in my grandma's ) I'll tell him eventually, but this is not the right moment. Fortunately I got a response from a woman who asked for details. She told me that it's really hard to put him in jail, especially after this whole time (Almost 10 years or more). I got so frustrated.. I tried to reach out to my two cousins who went through the same thing (because of the same person) but they never wanted to talk about it. I really need your advice please me cuz I don't know what to do now, or the steps I must take. 3arfa bli Hadi maxi blast had Les posts ms rah you're my people and you're Moroccans just like me, aware of our culture, aware of how many victims choose silence, because mothers don't want 'Chouha' so I thought you would help me out in the best way...

Trash burning within the cities

Hello -- as a foreigner I try not to impose my life experiences and opinions onto other countries, but something that I've constantly experienced and genuinely believe should be stopped is the burning of trash. I am not going to sit here and list all the effects of what it does to those that inhale it and the environment etc...but as I am inhaling it as I type, I am curious if anyone has seen any public service announcements or initiatives trying to get people to stop doing it? Or is it not much of an issue that people generally aren't concerned much with? I would shut my windows, but it'd be unbearably hot and thought I'd ask here.

Worst experience in my life

Hello everyone , last night I was in agonizing pain that srsly required urgent care , but because it was so late at night we had to go to a public hospital.

I'm not saying don't go to Public hospitals , just gonna share my horrible experience with almost dying of pain , but for some reason I powered thro.
So we go to this public hospital and it's 3 am , it's full as hell , they won't let us inside .
We go to another one where they made us pay before even seeing a Dr, I was seated next to this old lady , I turn to her saying that why would you pay before the service , will she responded " ana b3da ila chafni tbib MN tmak mchit mankhelsoch " .

I was buffled like what , not to mention how under staffed , under equipped, dirty of a hospital it is.
My appendix was about to rapture and I'm telling the Dr about it , guess what , they gave me a fucking antibiotic that only sharpened the pain , as we asked for what we could do , they said will you'll have to go somewhere else we have nothing to help you with .

Like I'm sorry but what kind of healthcare is that , what kind of ppl are we living with , corruption stems deeper than just the system , it's the system and the ppl .

Also what kind of hospital has kids running wildly between patients , and chmakriya screaming at ppl , an ambulance hit a car and just sped up , wtf.

Question About Moroccan Passport Renewal and Retaining Old Passport with Valid Visas

Hello,

I have a question about the Moroccan passport renewal process. My current passport is running out of pages, so I need to renew it. However, it contains three valid visas (US, Schengen, and Canada).

I would like to know if they will return my old passport along with the new one so I can continue using those visas. I’ve heard that sometimes old passports are not returned, but I hope this only applies to passports without valid visas or with expired visas.

Could someone who recently renewed their passport and was able to keep their old passport with valid visas, please confirm?

Thank you very much!
