Anyone have any recommendations for good podcasts that cover undercover police work?
I listened to the “Children in the Pictures” and it was the most impactful true crime podcast I’ve ever listened too. Huge trigger warning for anyone interested - it covers the work of Australian police officers as they work with international law enforcement to take down the largest child exploitation website. It’s fucked up listening at times and changed the way I looked at a lot of things. Also watched the movie “The Stranger” on Netflix which followed an undercover police officer working to take down a suspected child murderer. Both these sparked a fascination with undercover work. It’s often high stakes because it is something used for the worst crimes. The officers are in incredibly challenging emotional and physical situations. I’m interested in learning more so if anyone has recommendations, let me know!

Apple Podcast on Android?
I've been searching and searching and I can't find a workaround. There is a podcast I really want to listen to, but it is an Apple podcast and I have a PC and Android devices. I even created an apple id and downloaded itunes, but it's unavailable on that platform as well. Is there any way to play it on an android or PC or am I just out of luck? Thanks for the info.

Funny podcasts about anxiety?
I've recently been having a lot of problems stemming from blaming myself for a lot of things and a friend of mine said I need to work on liking myself more. I know that podcasts aren't a substitute for therapy but I can't afford therapy so some advice or hearing about the ways others have dealt with it in the past might help. Some podcasts I'm a fan of are Podcast About List, Dungeon Academy, Behind The Bastards, Therapy Gecko, Drifting Off With Joe Pera, The Danny Brown Show and What Had Happened Was with Open Mike Eagle.

ISO fantasy/Sci-fi short stories

I already follow Escape Pod and Clarksworld. Looking for others.
I would prefer most adult oriented stuff. Not necessarily NSFW but not the sort of stories where the good guys always win no matter what and nothing bad ever happens to them.

Radio style podcasts that can be listened to in the background that provides good education but doesn't need full attention at all times?
An example I could give is MindPump or Talksport radio. I'm looking for something along those lines. With Talksport I have learned business in sports when a host like Simon Jordan is on or have a bit of a laugh when they start talking casual and I love having it on in the background while doing stuff like cooking. It's not something I always need to pay full/only attention on and I can tune in and out of attention of it when I feel like it's getting technical enough. Same with MindPump on casual science and fitness science; it has very technical knowledge and casual bits to it too. So if anyone here has heard of either show or if you understand what I'm looking for, do you have any recommendations of anything similar? I don't mind podcasts/radio channels on science, technology, current world politics, geography or economics

Podcasts about historical revolutions & rebellions
Looking for podcasts that discuss revolutions and rebellions throughout history. I want to hear more about revolutions far back as we know as well as most recent examples. Not just successful examples but failures as well. Id like to hear more detailed explanations, talking about who are the key players and why things went down the way they did. If theres any that tackle more obscure examples and not just the more known examples that would be awesome.

Been watching old episodes of Tomorrow and I wish there was something like that today. Just people talking and discussing a variety of serious things without too much shouting or any gotcha questions. I'm sick of all the political podcasts or people who just think they're so smart and just have pseudo intellectual conversations. I don't want a crime podcast.

I'm looking for multiple things, but different at times.
Doctors that are not actually doctors (as in like dr.death episodes)
Patients that write online that are not actually sick (scamanda, and believe in magic similar)
or doctors giving wrong treatments, fraud treatments, charging for more then given (again like dr.death)

Favorite comedy chat podcasts?
Current faves are Do You Need A Ride (2 comedy folks give a needed a ride to a comedy guest and chat with them along they) and Blocked Party (guest will talk about an incident where they blocked by somebody on social media)
So a hook like that is absolutely allowed, but free-flowing fun conversations of comedy folks are more important to me. TIA!

Looking for podcasts like The Uncertain Hour, Slow Burn, and Dan Taberski’s podcasts
I like an investigative journalism deep dive. I love exploring topics I’m familiar with but never really truly understood, like the Monica Lewinsky Scandal in Slow Burn, the Uncertain Hour’s coverage of Welfare and the War on Drugs, and Dan Taberski’s Running from Cops and The Line (some of my favorite seasons from each of these shows). I love it when a show challenges my perception.
I like other shows like Maintenance Phase and behind the bastards, but prefer a well produced season-long look at a topic. Conversational style “just some friends talking about stuff” podcasts kind of annoy me, but sometimes if the content is interesting enough I’ll still give it a listen.
True crime gives me major anxiety. Maybe if there is a socio-political under theme I would be interested, but most true crime is terrible for my mental health.
I also love Intercepted and Democracy Now. I’m very interested in political and social topics. And I like weird/paranormal investigations, like Euphomet, but this might be pretty left field compared to the other podcasts I’ve mentioned haha… I’m open minded :)
I have a couple big design projects I’m working on, and if anyone can point me toward a couple new things to listen to, I would be SO grateful!!!!
