Instant ramen
My go-to instant ramen has been Shin black for years now. I've never really experimented much with other brands besides the basic Maruchan. My aunt made me a homemade ramen bowl for Christmas as well as few different instant ramen packs. One of them really stood out to me as something special, the Samyang Buldak cream carbonara was absolutely fantastic. I do like spicy but the kick was a bit much for my palette, the noodles are fantastic though, thick and chewy unlike any other instant ramen I've had. My question is are there any other brands with a similar type of noodle?

Recommendations
I love Nongshim shin black ramyun, but unfortunately I am a weenie when it comes to spicy heat and it’s a bit much for me unless I have the biggest glass of milk imaginable. So I’m wondering if there’s a brand that has a similar texture and flavor?

Nongshin Shin Ramyum Recipe change?
I’ve been eating nongshim for about a year now and originally the noodles were perfect. I would microwave it for 6 minutes because the 7 minutes would make the noodles too soft for my liking. I’m microwaving in the same microwave for 5:30 now and the noodles seem thinner, soggier, and less flavorful. I put enough water to make the noodles not turn into a soup. So, minimal broth=more flavor. But now, it’s not even as spicy, tastes more peppery, and the noodles feel soggy and soft. Is anyone else experiencing this with these noddles they’ve purchased in the last week or so? I’ve only noticed this in the last two batches I’ve purchase, one from Costco (returned because I thought I got a bad batch) and one from a local grocery store called woodmans, both having the same problem and both being purchased in the last week.

I have one package of shin black and one package of tonkotsu ramen. Making lunch for two people so I was thinking of mixing them so there's more food. Would that be gross?
