It was a big fight. I love the composure of our own players.

On penalties: "The other guys, it's really important. They did it perfectly, with great composure from all of them. They are with a smile on their faces. Fulham fans are really proud of their team. We are there.

Did Fulham deserve to win in 90 minutes? "I think yes. I know they had chances but I think we were the best team on the pitch. Our team was on the ball dominating the ball. We deserve to be in the next stage.

On drawing Crystal Palace: "It is going to be a great battle between two good sides. They are in great form away from home. London derby."

# Bernd Leno

'We want to go to Wembley 100%'

Fulham goalkeeper Bernd Leno, speaking to BBC: "Unbelievable. I think we deserved to win after 90 minutes. Of course, penalties, it is sometimes a lottery and luckily we won.

"The goalie coach told me couple of information, but my feeling is more important. I went the wrong way three times, but credit to our penalty takers - it is not easy.

"Brilliant job from all of us."

On wanting to reach Wembley: "100%. Two-years ago we lost in the quarter final [against Manchester United\] and we're in the quarter final again.

"We want to go to Wembley 100%."

Calvin Bassey

'We had a bit of fortune in the penalties'

Fulham defender Calvin Bassey, speaking to BBC: "It's a privilege and an honour to be here. To come here, it is a blessing, so I'm happy.

"I like to say I'm a bit of poacher. Trying to smell where the ball would go and reacted first. Put my head on it and back of the net.

"They're a very good team with a lot of talent. We tried to take the sting out of the game and control possession.

"They had their chances and sometimes a game goes down to penalties. We had a bit of fortune in the penalties with Leno saving two.

"I am proud of every single player."

On Bernd Leno: "He has been amazing. He has kept us in games so many times. He deserves the recognition.

"We're buzzing and we take each game as it comes.

"That's the best way to take each game. Don't get too down with the losses and don't let the wins get to your head."

Press Conference Garnacho went to Amorim yesterday morning after his reaction to being subbed vs Ipswich. Amorim said there is 'no issue' and Garnacho 'is going to pay a dinner for all the team'.

Amorim's Presser - MUFC vs Fulham - FA Cup

Post is being updated with new quotes...

Alejandro Garnacho will buy dinner for the Manchester United team after his reaction to being substituted in midweek. Ruben Amorim insists there is no issue with the winger, who is available for selection again this weekend

# Amorim on if anyone will return this weekend

"No. Nobody different is back. They are still trying to recover to help us in the next games."

# Amorim on Garnacho walking down the tunnel vs Ipswich

"He came to me. It was funny because he came to my office. I did an investigation, he went to the dressing room to change his clothes because they were wet. He watched the game from somewhere different from the bench. There is no issue. I told him perception is important. He will pay for dinner for all the team."

# Amorim on Keane's comments about Fernandes

"I heard about that and I have a different opinion. Bruno is really important for us. He is playing well in a different context. I know, as a captain, he can do things with his arms. He has had a lot of frustration for this year and the last years. He wants to win and it is hard to deal with that situation. Roy Keane has big standards from his time. I have an opposite opinion as I am the coach."

# On recruitment plans for the summer:

Amorim: "We need to make some deals to make some deals. We know the situation. We are changing a lot of things in our squad and the academy. We are working on a lot of things. We are preparing the next season, for sure."

# On Dorgu's Red Card:

Amorim: "It is like business as usual. Of course, you don't want him sent-off because it is hard to play with ten men and we lose him for three games. Everything at United is a big issue. I don't need to say anything to him. He is frustrated and sad, but he is working [towards\] the next games. He is going to be a very important player for us."

#

Amorim on Onana: "He did some great saves that save our team and sometimes have some problems - but that is normal. I think if you look at our team you can find a lot of players with that issue.

# "People talk about the second goal from Ipswich... he is waiting for the touch of Delap. That can happen. We just have to support Andre. We need to forget about the past and prepare for the future."

# More from Amorim on Garnacho:

# "He is a young kid that will learn. The important thing is that in the next morning he was speaking with me. Zirkzee did the same thing walking down the tunnel but the context was different. We can deal with that and let's just move on."

# Amorim on the impact of social media:

Amorim: "I think it is completely different for the players nowadays. Before, it was two newspapers and nothing more. Now you cannot go to social media without seeing the news or a photo. You can have 100 good things and then one bad thing, and people focus on the one bad thing. They need help to deal with that. It is modern football and they have to be prepared for that."

Post Match Quotes Ruben Amorim: "The goal is to win the Premier League. I know we are losing games and trophies in this season, but the goal is to win the Premier League. Again, I don't know how long it's going to take, but it's our goal."

# Ruben Amorim

Ruben Amorim: "The goal is to win the Premier League. I know we are losing games and trophies in this season, but the goal is to win the Premier League. Again, I don't know how long it's going to take, but it's our goal. [Steven Railston\]

For context, the question was: "What does this loss, and going out of the FA Cup, do to your team?" [Steven Railston\]

Amorim: "Penalty shootouts can go either way. Today was not our day."

Amorim: "Chido [Obi\], very good moves, a lot to improve, a bit naive, but a very good day for Chido, less so for the team."

Amorim on whether Obi could replace Hojlund in the line up: "Anything can happen in the next games. We need to see the opposition, feel the moment of the player physically. I will focus on just the next game. I will choose the best players to win the next match." [Rich Fay\]

Rúben Amorim tells BBC: “Our long term goal is to win the Premier League. I don't know how long it is going to take but that's our goal”.

“No matter what we continue forward”. [Fabrizio Romano\]

'The goal is to win the Premier League'

Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim, speaking to BBC: "We managed to score in the second half after that goal near half-time. It's harder for us to go and press a little bit high but we managed to do it and score. I think we have the best chances in the game. In the end, the penalties can go both ways and today wasn't our way.

"It is important to say that with the substitutions we had our chance to win the game.

"I think we are better in the first ball than the second ball. I think it is also sometimes the quality of the players. Bruno, Casemiro, and Josh [Zirkzee\] are improving a lot.

On penalty shootout: "I try to relax the players and they know that it is something that is technical but you have to be relaxed and confident.

"The goal is to win the Premier League. I know that we are losing games but the goal is to win the Premier League again. I don't know how long it will take. We have a goal and we continue forward no matter what. it's impossible to know but you start understanding the players are better and we understand the league. We'll see in the future.

"It's really important but we have to recover the players. They were really tired and we have three days and then here at Old Trafford against Arsenal."

Ruben Amorim asked why mufc are not converting chances:

"I think it is sometimes the quality of the players... Bruno, Casemiro, Josh [Zirkzee\] is improving a lot, he's fighting for every ball. It's the quality of the players which help us to create more chances."

[BBC\]

# Wayne Rooney

'It's a little naive to say they're looking to win the Premier League'

I think he'll get time (Amorim). It's not a free hit because he'll expect more from Man Utd then what we're seeing since he's been in. It's very difficult to come in during the season and have no pre-season, but he has to look to the future and moving forward. He says winning the Premier League, how can they compete? To get further up the table, I think that's the next step for them.

Managers aren't getting that time over the last 10/15 years. You have to be selfish as a manager and say 'okay, if I don't do it now I might not get that time.' I think it's a little naive to say they're looking to win the Premier League because from where they are now, they're a long way off that.

# Marco Silva

'We deserve to be in the next stage'

Fulham boss Marco Silva, speaking to BBC: "In some moments we showed very good quality, our identity was there. We sorted some things and did much better. we built our attacking moments really well. The way the team played in the second half and all of extra time makes me really proud because we came here and were the dominant team. We were brave, we did it in our way.
