A new slime for the Glass Desert!

I came up with this just intending it to be a cute doodle and then the more I looked at it, i realized that it really looks like a slime from slime rancher. So introducing the Spiky Tabby located in the Glass Desert!

How to keep quantum slimes with my plort collecting routine? (p.s; sorry if this is confusing!)

I just finished reading the slimepedia, i already understood all of the stuff about quantum slimes though, but my routine is basically-

1; Sleep for 2 days

2; Go get ALL OF YOUR CROPS, i personally have like 7 growing, so i go and grab 50 of 4 of them, and then 50 (25 for odd onions) of 3 of them, then usually my 4th slot on the 2nd go around getting my crops is just 15+ plorts of one of my slimes, no i dont have a drone yet (For meat eaters, go to your coops and the overgrowth(?) and get ur chickens, elders, and roostros)

3; Throw all of the favourites and just what they eat into all of the slime corals you have

4; Go get all of the plorts and shoot them into the plort market (Dervish slimes are especially hard to grab their plorts, because they usually get swept away and arent collected in the plort collector, so just grab those immediately when you feed them, i usually end up feeding them less because of this lol)

5; Profit from the plorts and rinse and repeat.

And since i do this routine its hard to keep quantum slimes, which i dont because of it, since when i sleep for 2 days i come back to a bunch of escaped quantums who also just end up exploding at some point, i only ever keep them if i need their plorts for an occasion (ex, The science things you make or whatever, i forgot the name, and also the glass desert puzzle)

Basically what im saying here is, does anyone have an answer to what i could do?

How do I find the gourdos?

I got a switch recently and was able to get slime rancher. I first heard about it when Jacksepticeye and Markplier first played it. (Still kinda hope they eventually play the second one).

I've had lots of fun with the game, but I've only been able to find a few of the gourdos. I've been able to get both of the pink, tabby, and rock ones. Even the crystal one too. However, it's like I can't find the other ones. I've been rewatching Jack's and Mark's videos, but they're obviously edited. Though I think I've figured out how to find one of the phosphor gourdos. As soon as I get home from work. Any help and info is greatly appreciated.

Can slimes die?

I checked the wiki for this and it said yes after 7 days, but the wiki also said this about if they arent fed for 1 day. (I couldnt find it after i saw it, so this is just a basics of what it said.)

▪ Slimes with behavioural issues such as hunter slimes will grow feral after not being fed for 1 day.

▪ Additionally, all slimes will produce 1 plort if fed their favourite food, and none if fed any other.

I'm not sure anymore, since neither of those things are true, so please tell, do slimes die of hunger?

You’re on the range and you suddenly see these 5 items all appear in the same place but you can only take 4 of them. Which do you leave behind?

For the slimes, pretend that in this instance, you can vac them up once, but once you let them go you can’t vac them back up anymore. You also can’t put them in a corral

saty (mod developer) is being attacked by monomi park for putting their mod under a paywall.

that’s pretty much all that’s for sure
saty and monomi both have different sides of the story so it’s hard to tell what’s true right now.

what do you think of it all?

It's a long wait for Casey's last letter.

I found Hobson's last letters at the second portal in de Glass Desert, and I was wondering if I had 'finished' the game now. Turns out you get the end credits after Casey's last letter, but I have spent 3 real life hours and many in game days waiting for her letters now. The most recent is Re: Africa, and on the wiki it says that isn't even close to the last one. Re: Africa triggers after opening a 4th slime gate, and the one after that triggers after opening a 5th slime gate. After that you get one for unlocking the Glass Desert (which I have done), after opening that one you get one more after 24 (in game) hours and then at last the final letter after Hobson's final message or 6 hours after the opening the previous one.

I never even got the one after Re: Africa, so my theory is that I need that one to continue getting letters. I parkoured my way past the slime gates in the Glass Desert, so I didn't need to open 5 slime gates in order to get to Hobson's last message. Has anyone else experienced something like this?

i think i messed up🙃

i was pretty confused while exploring the glass desert and I had 3 slime keys of which i only found 2 doors to use them on. I just kept moving towards the end of the map and I accidentally finished the story before “finishing” the game, like i never found tangle or mosaic slimes and never renewed any of the glass desert. honestly don’t know what to do now lol 🫠

Do secret style slimes spawn in the wild, and if so, do they take up all other slimes?

I know this might sound like a silly question, but ive been thinking about getting the secret style pack, and im not sure if they spawn in the wild, the photos on steam show them outside in the wild, but is that true? From what the game says on the "Manage DLC" menu option, i thought they only showed up in treasure pods, and maybe the treasure pods would just respawn, and thats how you got more, but again, the steam photos on the purchase screen for the DLC tell me otherwise.

And if they do show up in the wild, are they rare? Often? And do they take up alot of the normal slime spawns?

Sorry that im asking so much here, but im just confused and i cant find any other leads to my questions.

silver parsnips spawned in my corals?

i have a save i havnt loaded in a while and i have a self sufficent farm in the lab, bees put fruit and vegi into feeder, and put plorts into lab.

today i logged on after installing the multiplayer mod and i think so of my slimes wen missing and there are silver parsnips in all their corals, every single one?

Ogden, Mochi and Viktor........ Ideas on what to do with them?

Just wondering what other people have used their other-rancher expansions for! I'm kind of at a loss because I've got all my largos for both profit and refinery running off of my ranch + main expansions. Every slime IS a largo, such as Dervish Tangle in the Overgrowth... And thus, other than the fact I've put my Puddle in Mochi's river, I have absolutely no clue what else to do LOL

I've got Ogden and Mochi, working on Viktor, so I'm curious if you guys keep slimes in them or just excess stuff

All problems as a rancher can be washed away!

I keep seeing posts where people ask how to stop quantum slimes from disappearing, how to stop the dervish cyclones, why the puddle slimes don't produce anything, how to stop mosaik slimes from arson... guys, it's really simple, just read the slimepedia, it's literally written down for you! I get so mad by the community sometimes!!!

Water is the solution to all these problems. Except for puddle slimes, read the slimepedia. And don't splash fire slimes, in that case death. But for everything else? Water.

Why water? Simple! Rad slimes are radioactive. What do they use in nuclear power? Cool water. Gets rid of the rad aura. What about tabby slimes yoinking food and plorts somewhere else? They do that? READ THE SLIMEPEDIA! They're cats, yes water will work. Your tangle slimes make too much pollen, which makes the slimes act up because of allergies? They do that? YES! DANGIT! CANT ANYBODY READ THE SLIMEPEDIA? wash the pollen away. Dangerous crystal shards on the floor? I don't know why, or how but that's apparently hard water. *ba dum, tss*
