Achievement not working? (Steam)

I have been trying to get the “Controlling the Chaos” achievement for a while now, and it just feels like it won’t work. I have about 300 slimes in a corral, and when I try to suck them up the achievement stays stuck at 12/15.

Am I doing something wrong, or is the achievement bugged. Also, what can I do to fix this (trying to 100% the game).

Anybody know where I can find party Gordo?

Could have SWORN he was under the rock gordo in the quarry, but I had to take a ratchet ass wooden path to get down to him (super sketchy/10) but also maybe he was at the docks?? I didn’t have any food on me for him, and I’m a first time player, I am SO lost

most needed plorts for the Lab? (possible spoilers)

Hello ranchers!

I unlocked the Ranch Lab Expansion and realised I need so many different plorts and other materials. I'm looking to set things up at the ranch to make Lab crafting easier. Still deciding on which Largos to keep around, and want to know which slime plorts will I need a lot of for Lab crafting.

There's too many recipes to look them all up on the wiki, I was overwhelmed when I looked, but otherwise I won't know unless I unlock the recipes in-game.

So what are the plorts that I will definetely need a whole lot of of, to make Lab crafting run smoothly, so Im free of worrying if I have enough plorts? I'm looking for a REALLY dumbed down version.

There's so many Gadgets I dont really understand, either, so below spoilers is short list of the Gadgets I understood enough to know I might need. You can skip reading the below spoiler if you dont care about that, just wasnt sure it was relevant info or not. (*Also maybe didnt want my ''homework'' to go to waste, lol)*

To make storing stuff from those even easier, I also want Refinery links in those locations eventually, and probably a few Drones to care for the ranch in the meantime so my fruit and veggie gardens arent overgrowing and the slimes arent starving. How to get a golden gordo in/outside your ranch!

\*BY THE WAY! you cant do this until youve unlocked slime science and the glass desert.\*

This is a guide for the silly golden gordo! I have one and heres how i did it, keep trying if it doesnt work!

▪First off, you need a "Master Gordo Snare". You need 20 hunter plorts, and 10 spiral steam, hexacomb and slime fossils. The blueprint costs 1500!

▪You also need a gilded ginger. They only appear in the glass desert, heres a map of where they spawn! [https://slimerancher.fandom.com/wiki/Gilded\_Ginger/Locations](https://slimerancher.fandom.com/wiki/Gilded_Ginger/Locations)

▪Then, you place a teleporter at your ranch in or close to it, and place one at the gilded ginger spot you've picked.

▪And then you sleep a day, check, sleep a day, check, rinse and repeat until you get it. I got it on my 2nd in-game day of trying, but dont give up if it takes a long time!

▪Then, shoot the gilded ginger into the "Master Gordo Snare" and either wait or sleep a day! Now you have your golden gordo!

The golden gordo i'm pretty sure doesnt have any actual benefits, i'm not sure what happens when they explode since i dont wanna try, but its very nice to have!

Tip: Dont feed it, i'm pretty sure you CAN up until you've given 25 gilded gingers (or 50, i havent tested), but i'm not gonna take my chances, since i dont want all my work to go to waste!

should i buy slime rancher or slime rancher 2?

i played slime rancher when i was little all the time at my dads house, i remember it very fondly and recently one of my favorite youtubers made a video completing it and it brought back all the memories. i’m thinking of buying it but i don’t know if i should get the sequels early access on steam instead, i wouldn’t buy both so it’s one or the other. i figured this would be the best place to get advice! which should i buy?

Via Drone glitches, what is the highest you've manage to store in one silo slot?

So, I wanted to ask this question because of a strange interaction I recently had on my save.


I got a bit carried away with my automation of plort production and decided to fill 4 silo's worth. In total that should be 14,400 in total, but after the extremely lengthy selling process (That took extra long because I forgot to use my drones ironically) I counted a total plort count of 16,422.
Though of course I noticed something amiss earlier, whilst emptying the earliest silos, starting with the 300+'s I managed to get out an extra 100 without it going below 300, seemed nice. But then I got another 100... then an other and another. I thought maybe I'd discovered an infinite dupe glitch but eventually it went back to normal numbers and emptied.


The most I had stored in one slot was an extra 814, totalling ***1114 plorts*** in one silo slot.
My question is, *how?* I thought you could only reach a bonus 49 on top from keeping a slot at 299 and having a full drone unload on top of that. It only happened in 3 slots, the first storage location of each seperate plort type I was producing and didn't occur again.


Anyone else have a better highscore?
