 Sponge slime!

Diet: water. Fav food: puddle slime(!?!?)

Slimeology: these sponge like slimes adore puddle slimes, but they always disappear whenever they get too close! Sucking up water, the sponge slimes are great at saving water for later. They don’t actually hurt the water slimes they suck up, they just keep them within for a bit, then squeeze them out along with some sponge plorts. They are found where water is found, and have a great instinct that helps them locate puddle slimes. Once filled with water, they grow a lot. Vacuuming them up while they are full will result in holding them near you, and spraying water everywhere. Just don’t go looking in the holes all over them.

Rancher risks: they aren’t risky slimes at all. The biggest danger in housing them might be making your puddle slimes a bit uncomfortable. If you put them on land while they are full, they will slide back to the wet stuff. If you try making tarrs with them, doesn’t work! Really, one of the safest slimes there are.

Do you think anything will happen on the 22nd?

The 22nd of September is the 2 year anniversary of SR2 and they have been talking about the grey labyrinth for over a year now. The issue is, they said that this update would come out in fall, and that date is in summer. It is the last day of summer and also they said that making the ProntoMart update went better than expected, so maybe it will come out then? What do you think?

Lab Speedrun guide

1. Collect the 3 carrots outside of the ranch house, then collect more food in the Dry Reef to pop the Pink Gordo.
2. Use the slime key on the quarry door, and then try to collect 3 Heart Beets, 3 Crystal Slimes, 3 Rock Plorts, and at least 1 Puddle Slime.
3. Place the crystal slimes in the corral, then feed them rock plorts to turn them into largos.
4. Plant a heart beet garden.
5. Start the cycle of feeding largos and selling their plorts.
6. Once you have enough money, buy a pond (if you collected any puddle slimes in the Indigo Quarry) and a silo.
7. Place any puddle slimes you collected in your pond.
8. Continue the cycle, storing Plorts in silos until their sell price is high
9. Once you have enough money, buy the Lab to end the run.

Game won't download - steam

I have been encountering a weird error when I try to update or redownload slime rancher.

The game refuses to download and will rotate through the three following errors:

- No internet connection

- Content servers unreachable

- Content configuration unavailable


The thing is I have an internet connection, I can download and update other games. This only happens with slime rancher.

I tried reaching out to steam support and just got told not our problem take the pc to a tech specialist.

Which is a super slap in the face when you work in IT.

why my save is corrupted?

the last 3 saves i played were fine , i had some mods instaled but they worked fine and never gave problems, then i wanted to play multiplayer so i downloaded the mods in a pen drive and installed them in another computer and them back to mine , we played and i was just fine, later that day i played again after saving and it was fine too but the nex time my save was corrupted, i had put over 30h in that save and i started a new save, it worked fine the first few time but then it got corrupted again so i researched and deduced that a mod called "mod name (outdated)" was causing the problem and i deleted it and reinstaled the mods again and this time it worked fine over 10 times but now its corrupted again and i dont know why, those mods never gave me any problems and i have played dozens of times qith them but now nothing works and i have lost tons of progres over and over . Does anyone know what to do?

Has anyone on PS5 had SR2 freeze in the part of Ember Valley with batty and crystal slimes?

Not sure if it was just a case of bad luck or something specific about that area since I haven't had the chance to go back and see what happens.

The framerate wasn't out of the norm right before everything froze, so I have no idea if the game got overloaded by the number of nearby entities. The music kept playing, but after two minutes of buttons doing nothing and sound effects being MIA I figured that this probably wasn't a case of excess load times and closed the game.

The only thing I've seen online about someone having a similar issue was for the PC version and posted before the PS5 version came out.

Found bench friend on complete accident

I was just on a leisurely stroll back to my base after a thunderstorm and find this guy sitting here. Idk how I got so lucky because I didn’t even place this guy here, it just got on the bench itself. Sadly it couldn’t stay because I moved the bench and my new friend disappeared immediately, it probably would’ve stayed if I didn’t tho.

I made the puddle slime art early January of this year, and it was made with Krita! The variety slime artwork was made throughout late april/early may with Clip Studio Paint! I am still getting used of posting to reddit, I just wanted to share these with fellow slime enjoyers !!

Made this little guy who’s based on a fox

Scarlet slimes are shy and nocturnal. They are found in fields along with their favorite food, the field hen. They won’t approach the player and will move way quickly if the player gets to close.

The field hen takes advantage of this by hiding by and following the player.

Due to the Scarlet slime’s shyness, they are difficult to study and their plorts are highly valued by scientists and inventors who hope to learn more about the Scarlet slime and the potential utility of its plorts.

Are you guys aware of the unofficial mobile port?

Disclaimer: I will not be providing any downloads nor will I ask/tell you to. This is just for discussion.

There was a dude who randomly ported the game to Android, and has since then abandoned the game in its old version (1.3.2) since he wasn't really getting anything from it (is what he said)

Now I will say the game itself on PC and Switch is fine, has much more content and such. The unofficial* mobile port is literally just the old version of the game, just on mobile. Has no DLC either, so there's that. The touch controls are, if I'm not over exaggerating, decent. I still would rather the Switch version over it, though, plus the additional content.

I'm sure the official developers themselves are aware of the port, they haven't taken action and if they did then that could be why the unofficial developer says he 'abandoned' it. It isn't even his in the first place and it is infringing copyright but he did it anyways.

The craziest part is that it's the only Slime Rancher game ever to be on mobile, and no it wasn't ground up created, it's a port, reusing everything from the actual game at the time of version 1.3.2.

The developer also said the game was developed in 3 days.

The touch controls overlap HUD elements and tip pop-ups. None of the HUD was changed for the mobile layout so you're stuck with the PC layout.

The performance? I'd say impressive for it being an unofficial port. The developer himself, before the project was abandoned, had done one final update to the port for performance on lower end hardware, which in my opinion was a light hearted thing to do. (Still doesn't excuse the POS to infringe copyright...)

What makes it even worse is that it's the full 1.3.2 version of the game on mobile. At that point just partner with the official development team and make a mobile port, but that team probably didn't even want the game on mobile to begin with. And if you play the mobile port then it's technically piracy.

Would not recommend downloading, stick to the game and support the developers. Again this is just a hot topic, cya!
