Where are y'all farming your Strange Diamonds?

I've found a few places where nodes spawn but even when I go hunting for them, checking the places I've found them before, strange diamonds remain a harsh bottleneck in my crafting.

Is there any way to actually get a consistent strange diamond income or do I need to just keep trying to get lucky?

New to the game

Just got slime rancher, I'm not sure if it's only me but I hate the giant slims at least right now when I can't keep them contained they keep eating all my chickens

I've had tar slims aper a few times how do u stop that

And how to I protect myself from slims right now

Gold???

Within not even five mins in a new save, I found not one but two different golden slimes. One was right outside the ranch, and the second was from a crate that the first (pink) Gordo slime dropped.

I started this save on plortable edition so let me know if that messes with golden odds or if I'm just insanely lucky.

Edit: found a third one just chillin.

New teleporter question

There's a new teleporter in Ember valley going past Powderfall Bluffs and I don't know how to get to it. Any ideas? It appears to be either in on top of or past the labyrinth on the map!

Slimer Rancher on Switch vs Steam Deck

I'm looking to pick up Slime Rancher 1 and I'm having a hard time finding any comparisons between its performance on the SD versus Switch.

It's on sale for like $12.50 on the Switch and it's not fully verified for the SD, so I really have no idea if there's a better version between the two!

Does anyone have experience between the two?

How to proceed with the story?

I've done all gordos, gotten the drone archive key and read all the drones.
I've explored all the places I can think of in Starlight Strand and Ember Valley. I have not opened every plort door yet though, I have like three left. I have one of the portals left to fabricate, dont remember if it was to Starlight Strand or Ember Valley.
I've hit a halt in the story and I don't know where to go from here.
Any suggestions?
