The Division 2 Weekly Vendor Reset 06/08/2024
Hi there fellow agents. Here's the latest vendor reset information for The Division 2.
# Notes
---
Nothing worth mentioning from our end this week.
See you next Tuesday.
# Items on Sale
---
Here's the web page link for all the items available in the game. It will always be the same link. It's my personal website and I don't run any kind of ads.
https://rubenalamina.mx/the-division-weekly-vendor-reset/
I added a resources section with a map with 30+ locations to find the Snitch and a link to the datamined gear attribute sheet.
# Cassie
---
Cassie is a gunrunner vendor that moves location every couple of days. To find her, you need to talk to Jared "The Snitch" Nash in one of the locations I have listed on my map. His location is random but it usually takes 2 or 3 location visits for him to spawn. After you talk to him, he will give you a bounty and Cassie will appear on your map with a shopping cart icon. You can do the bounty or save it for later, it's not necessary to browse Cassie's inventory.
She will open for 24 hours and will close to relocate for 32 hours. These are her open times:
Sunday 8:00 PM EDT
Wednesday 4:00 AM EDT
Friday 12:00 PM EDT
Besides her random stock, Cassie will always sell two named items: the Shield Splinterer assault rifle and the Hunter-Killer chest. In order to see these two items, you need to have opened the ivory chest at the White House and the Off-white chest at Haven. You get keys for these chest by killing the hunters in DC and NYC.

## Timers Website
A couple of members of The Division Community Discord made a site that shows all the in game timers in your local time zone. It also has the open and close timers for Cassie so you can use it to check if she's open or not before you go find the snitch. The site can be accessed here: https://divisiontimers.com
## Wiki Page
The link for the current weekly thread and the vendor items list is always available in the [Vendor Reset Page](https://www.reddit.com/r/thedivision/wiki/thedivision2/communityresources/vendors) in the community resources. You can find it in the top navigation menu of the subreddit. If you're on mobile, it will be on the sidebar.
# The Division 1 Reset
---
Some of the guys and girls in the vendors team are trying to keep The Division 1 vendor resets alive. The sheet will be automatically updated when they are done, even if they haven't posted their weekly thread. I will add an edit with the link to their weekly thread when they are ready. These reset happen on Friday nights at 7pm EST.

I thought M700 damage was not 1.4M but more like 500K?

If there was a 7th gear slot, what would it be/do?
My friend and I were just discussing and wondered about what a 7th gear slot could look like. While it isn't a real probability this would be added (at least to my knowledge) I think a helmet for protection from headshots in PVP or even glasses that give laser like precion to MMRs would be fun options, though they for sure would upset other players.
What are your thoughts guys?

How much of D1 and D2 can be played solo?
Hello, I’m considering getting either game because I love the mechanics of the game (having played it on Xbox when D1 first came out).
But now that it’s been a few years (especially for D1), how playable is this game solo? I image there’s not too many people to run missions with - would I still be able to dump a ton of time into this game?

New York DZ is More Ominous
DC DZ's just don't invoke that level of fear or tribidation that exists in NY's DZ's.
When you enter the DZ in Division 1, you feel that ominous sense as soon as you enter. The towering buildings, coupled with the dead streets with the ever presence of lawnessness, and knowing someone you cross paths with will shoot you dead without a second thought. That sense of fear when you enter knowing you are all alone, and away from safety is scary.
DC's DZ's just don't invoke that sense of fear like the the NY DZ's did. It felt like you were actually cut off from the wall behind you. DC's DZ's are just aren't as scary. You almost feel accustomed to being there, when you shouldn't be.
Maybe Im a snob. Thoughts?

What’s your favorite control point to capture?
My favorite is the Red Dragon in the top right corner of Downtown East. Not sure why this has always been my favorite but I like the layout of it. Almost always during the control point capture there are random events that will happen at the same time such as an enemy resource convoy passing through that makes the combat more exciting.

Best solo manhunt mission?
Agents, if you are more of a lone wolf like me and assuming you have all the necessary gear sets to counter any challenging situation, what are your favorite manhunt missions to replay on Solo Heroic?
My personal rankings are:
1. General Anderson
2. Captain Lewis
3. Stovepipe (Wish we could reply the whole sequence including the Razorback fight)
4. Kelso
5. Bardon Schaeffer
6. Recruiter
7. Mari & the rest

Anyone know what's happening
I'm getting an UNIFORM-01 error, I tested my console's connection, and restarted the app. I can't find any recent threads about it and the outage trackers says it's fine.
Edit: it's good to know that im not the only one with this, only guess is they are doing server wide maintenance and didn't mark it on the tracker

PSA - Division 1 - LM4 Blueprint on Vendors this reset!
A reminder that the 256 Lightweight M4 blueprint is on vendors this reset in The Terminal and Camp Clinton. LM4 is used in quite a few builds if you play Div 1 and don't have it, grab it this reset! Save you waiting possibly months more for it to come round again.
As a bonus, there are 3% DtE purple mods available for Firearms (Autumn's Hope) and Stamina (The Firewall).

'The Pentagon' Score on Piano
The Pentagon has one of the most iconic soundtracks. And I'm just now getting around to trying to play it by ear. I'm not an expert pianist by any means, so I'd love an experts POVs on if I got these right:
First Set - Repeat this 8x with your Right Hand:
F# C C# D# F F#
To make it special, play F# with your left hand when your right hand first plays F#
Second Set - Repeat this 12x with your Right Hand:
F# E# F F# G# A#
(I can't quite figure out what the first note is on the second set here. Either F# or E# -1 octave will do)
The second half of the song is just a higher tempo version is the same melody just played with both hands, same keys across two octaves.
Again if you're a pianist, please prove me wrong if you hear something else! Happy playin

If the events of the Division became a reality, which one weapon and skill would you put in your Go Bag, and which body armor would you wear?
Let's imagine a scenario in the not to distant future where a pandemic has in fact swept the world and society is on the brink.
You're smart and resourceful, and you've been planning for the eventuality and prepared a "go bag" of your choice together with one weapon, one piece of body armor and one skill (all chosen from those in the game) together $1000 as you set off into the new reality.
You'll have to fight your way to any more money, weapons and equipment, but these four items will be your starting line-up.
What are you going to choose and why?
Here's my selection:
Backpack: Memento - versatile, boosts my armor, weapon and skill tiers and has good buffs to get going.
Weapon: Bighorn AR - hits hard as an AR, but functions a 'sniper' in certain situations giving it great utility. Could be a good all-round weapon for the early days of the Apocalypse
Chest: Ceska Mechanized Infantry with Obliterate - additional critical hit chance, together with a reliable damage talent that is available most of the time seems like a solid choice to get started.
Skill: Revive Hive - clearly the sensible choice, because this would be a real-life hardcore situation :)
What would your picks be, and why?
Bighorn AR ready to go!

After years of running lowest graphics I got a new gaming PC. What's your favourite eye candy mission/location/activity that I should explore?
I'm a long time player of both TD1 (800h+) and TD2 (1100h+), but I've beenmainly playing on an i5 with a 3GB GTX1060 and always had more pressing things to spend money on.
However, I just got a new gaming PC with a Ryzen 7 and GTX 4070 and it makes TD2 feel like a brand new game sometimes.
I run with Neutral Lighting, and re-exploring the sewers has been literally amazing/awe-inspiring.
So looking for exploration/experience recommendations, what's your favourite visual part of TD2 (or TD1)?

Golden Bullet = Best Global Event
I haven't had this kind of fun on The Division in a fat minute! I just swapped over from a 4pc True Patriot + Memento armor build to a full 6pc Striker damage build, & with the event activated I've been clearing Shade levels like nobody's business. What are some of y'all's favorite Global Events?

I would assume Div 2 since it's newer but curious if there's a debate for Div 1? Which would you come back to?

Out of all the games I've played and seen The Division series have the best graphics I've ever seen. I'm still amazed to this day by the unsurpassed lighting and attention to detail.
Despite the series lacking more modern advanced features like ray traced shadows, reflections, lighting, etc this game still puts a smile on my face me with it's graphics and presentation/atmosphere.
Now I'm on a pretty decent PC and I sail the dangerous seas so I've played just about any popular game you can think of and have certainly played most of the modern graphically impressive games in recent history.
And sure while some games like Control definitely have better reflections and what not The Division to me still looks better even without the technically better looking features.
From the micro-level detail in destruction in things like glass or brick walls or stone barriers to blowing out street lamp light bulbs separately from the glass covering them the level of destruction I would say hasn't been outdone yet by any game I can think of. Yes games have had BIGGER destruction like Red Faction Guerilla but the realism and believability plus how much can be damaged is unsurpassed by any other game I've played.
And this is just the destruction...when you add in things like the amount of props and garbage and just general stuff in the game, again, I can't think of any other game with such small attentions to detail. Go look at a bicycle in this game or really any object and the level of detail is almost perfect and functional.
And the LIGHTING! OMG...ray tracing shmay tracing! For real, if I didn't know any better I'd say this series uses ray traced lighting. From the lights blooming in the dense fog to the dark and dank sewers to the night time Moon lit skyscrapers the lighting in this game is simply phenomenal and constantly amazes me.
Other things like the rippling water that bounces off surfaces, the amount of dense looking steam and smoke, the way grass parts when you run through it, snow melting in fire, I could just go on and on. I can really feel the love and passion the developers have for making this one of most impressive looking games on the market.
Yeah, I'm genuinely still blown away by how realistic this game looks and can't wait to see The Division 3. Here's to HOPING they step everything up a notch...if not I definitely hope they at least maintain the current level of detail and physics!
What are your thoughts? What's the most graphically impressive game in your opinion? And not just art design...I'm talking technically speaking, what game do you think is genuinely technically more impressive?
https://redd.it/1efntj3
@r_thedivision
Great job! Thanks for the update!
Since I usually come on here to complain, I thought I’d take a minute to thank the devs for fixing the game. Everything I’m experiencing for the last few days is my favorite game running very smoothly. And, finally, the allies use foul language! Love it.

@r_thedivision
Good, simple build for a handicapped player?
So it's been about 6 years since I played this game, started to miss it, want to come back...will likely start over fresh because it's more fun for me. Anyway, I have some severe hand issues, poor reflexes, slow movement, can't really use my hand properly, can't even really use a gaming mouse due to thumb issues. I know an FPS game is an odd choice for that but I figure it can't hurt to ask.
I know the game has some shield builds which are super tanky (and I do love shield builds), and of course there were builds with turrets/drones/whatever that do most of the work for you. The fewer buttons I need to repidly press the better though. Obviously after half a decade I am far out of the loop on what does and does not work in this game so I figured I would just ask.
Of course a build doesn't matter much while leveling but having a goal to aim for is nice. I just enjoy being super hard to kill :) even if it means having to play slower and do less damage, my goal is to just survive. It's not always fun in some games but it's just how I'm kind of forced to play, and I remember shield builds in this game being quite fun, even solo.
https://redd.it/1edjzzd
@r_thedivision
If you could use only one build for the entire game, which would it be?
Hey, agents!
This is just an intellectual exercise for fun. If you could only use one build going forward in the Division 2 for the rest of the game, which build would you choose? Note, that is not the same as asking 'which build do you think is best?"
[Vanguard's Ninja \/ Stirkers \/ Obliterate Build](https://preview.redd.it/2r7xmzy9dxed1.png?width=800&format=png&auto=webp&s=f093cfb3385645f7403a2819188a5f05fcf1809f)
For me, it would be my 'go-to' farming build which is:
* Backpack: **NinjaBike Messenger**
* Chest: **Brazos** (Armor Core + CHC + CHD with CHC mod) with Obliterate
* Mask: **Strikers** (Weapon Core + CHC with CHD mod)
* Holster: **Brazos Picaro's Holster** (Armor Core + WD + CHC)
* Gloves: **Strikers** (Weapon Core + CHC)
* Kneepads: **Strikers** (Weapon Core + CHD)
* Primary: **St. Elmo's Engine AR**
* Secondary: **Like Glue Shotgun**
* Sidearm: **TDI Kard Custom Pistol**
This results in:
* 1.4M Armor
* 4 Weapon Cores
* 3 Armor Cores
* 1 Skill Core
* 2 Skill Tiers (or 3 when holding TDI Kard)
* 60/113 CHC/CHD on the St. Elmo's
* 106 rounds in the mag for St. Elmo's, which reduces reloading
* Amazingly, this build has a Heroic Named Enemy TTK (Time To Kill) of 6.2s versus 4.8s for an all red Strikers with a Grupo/Ceska and Vigilance/Obliterate and the same weapons. This is due, I think, to the extra mag size. [(Build breakdown and TTK Calculator here)](https://mxswat.github.io/mx-division-builds/#/EwDgtMYAxgjB1E2U1yBcBWTr6VgMwrEIkbYIELwAsNaDZ64kM8Zjj6NAbGDTEitOHYumABOMFTYi5GYDz71YsfCCmwJbCfC342OYHp7iA7FJXB6ZiPSWdYp61Vg5RXUwRw8cZyDy2JE7oWvLQQA). I have previously tried this with a Grupo, Ceska and Fenris chest with the same talent, and the TTK is much higher.
[TTK for the Ninja\/Strikers Build](https://preview.redd.it/7iewmvofdxed1.png?width=810&format=png&auto=webp&s=a1864f579bd725af5b766a3a16a22740dc1fc69b)
Overall, it means that while I lose some TTK, I gain up to three Skill Tiers which helps my skills, and I have nearly twice as much armor versus my standard all red Strikers build for greater survivability.
This is my general go-to for soloing and what I would use if I wasn't allowed to use anything else - it's the perfect compromise for *me*.
**What would you run if you could have only one general purpose build and why?**
