New to The Division 1, wow!
Hi,
Just grabbed The Division 1 from ps plus store for free.
Played maybe 6 missions, was in 2 different groups too!
Long story short, I'm extremely impressed with what this game seems to offer.
I have a few questions please 🙏 and obviously I don't know much about the game but simplified answers would be great.
Am i right in thinking the following?
The "gameplay loop" seems to be run missions solo or in groups. Loot, sell, scrap. Hunt for new gear etc... which I love.
What is max level?
Should I go ahead and skip to the Division 2 and sink my hours in there?

Also just to add;
I'm not bothered about missing story from div1. I'm more concerned about where I sink my gaming hours into. Would o be better served jumping to div2 in terms of content, playerbase etc...

SPOILERS All the Ancient references around the Leto Trial
Hello, been a while. now that hopefully everyone has done the trial I thought why not talk about all the references in the trial (and definitely not because I procrastinated). forgive me if this is poorly organised.
# So who was Leto?
The short story is Leto (The daughter of 2 titans) was the mother of Apollo and Artemis after doing it with Zeus (Cos Zeus can't keep it in his toga). This is where the myth slightly differs but both relate to this Trial, Hera isn't happy and that means that Leto can't give birth in either any place that offers shelter/isn't on earth or in any place the light touches (due to these children going to outshine her own).
I also find it interesting that this is the second time a trial relates to Hera being unhappy with who the trial is about, but that's something for you tinfoil hat havers. Also this one is going to be a lot shorter than Hercules because this trial has a lot of div2 exposition rather than ancient history that I just don't know a lot about so if you lot can fill me in that'll be very helpful.
The symbol for The Leto Trial is the Astrology sign of Leto (or Latona because they are the same person just one's greek and the other's roman).
# To start with, Leto isn't a god.
A lot at the beginning of the trial talks about immortality and healing. The first bit I can understand because she isn't a god but isn't just an average human either because her parents were titans. The Latter at this moment I can't find any information on her being a healer (I'll edit this bit out if I can find some info on this tho).
Hesiod (a greek poet) describes her as "dark-veiled" and "always mild, kind to men and to the deathless gods, mild from the beginning", but that's all I have on that side of stuff.
Also Termite was before I started playing but from what I'm reading of her she's a scumbag so idk why Keener wants a replacement for her.
# Why are two bounties named after animals?
This I can answer. The first bounty 'Lucina's Fear' you fight 'Frog' with the tag line, "Leto, would you help somebody in need, knowing that action could lead to repercussions?"
Lucina is a title given to Hera (or Juno) so this basically means Hera's fear because Hera was afraid that Leto's twins would be better than the children she had with Zeus. You fight Frog because Leto turned a bunch of Lycian Peasants into Frogs after they were preventing her and her children from drinking from a fountain. You actually find a bunch of art of this like Latona and the Lycian Peasants. Personally I think the tag line and what ANNA says about Termite has to be related to Div2 as the reprecussions thing doesn't relate to the frog situation unless the Lycian were helping the in need Hera.
The other Animal themed Bounty is the final task at the Worksite Community where you fight 'Python' with the tagline "Leto if you want to take down the hydra you need to defeat a smaller snake first".
Now Leto didn't fight a hydra that seems more a reference to the black tusk but Python is related to her story. Firstly Python was his name and was described as either a huge serpent or even a dragon. Secondly, Python might have been a long term issue as he is mentioned for when Leto was pregnant with Apollo and Artemis and also when an older Apollo kills Python.
That's kind of it on those two now onto Boreus.
# Big Boy Boreus (but is actually spelt Boreas)
This bounty was called 'Delos Islands' where we fought 'Boreus' and had the tagline "Legend says that Apollo and Artemis were born on floating islands. I was born in the cloud. Leto does that make me a god?
Now Boreas was the god of the north wind and he plays a role in helping Leto give birth to the twins because Zeus ordered him to bring Leto to Poseidon and by raising some waves created shade from the sun's light for Leto to give birth(because one version of the myth is Leto can't be born under the sun's rays). The bounty is called the delos islands because in the other tale where Leto can't give birth on "terra firma" she

Whose Ship was in the beggining of div2?
So at the start of the game after we beat the tutorial we get to the cutscene before we get sent to dc, in this cutscene we see a ship appear that looks like hoverboat or just a ship with rocket launcher. Who could own it? Some faction that we know like the btsu or its just an other faction we dont know about?

Is the 2nd game really that much easier easier than the 1st?
About 17 hours in the 2nd game, currently at level 20, did every side mission in 6 of the 13 districts, including control points, upgrading the Theatre, looting the chests for upgrade points (I'm not playing it in english so I don't know how is it called, sorry) and died JUST twice since the beggining.
I have finished the first game few days ago and I've been dying constantly. Never raged more at a game, probably one of the hardest games I've ever played. The 1st one was like Dark Souls level impossible and the 2nd is like Modern Warfare, but set to beginner level.
The enemies feel a lot dumber and the weapons seems more lethal. In the 1st game, you have to shoot like 4-5 magazines of assault rifle to kill the purple enemies, but in the 2nd, you'd be okay with 2 and even have few bullets left in. And the drone, that's the most OP thing I've probably ever seen in a videogame. I mean, it's cool af, but the fact it could take down the main yellow enemies in few seconds, if you have the skill point counter full on the equipment, is just funny.
Don't get me wrong, I love the 2nd game, but I don't feel as much satisfaction after completing the missions as I did in the 1st. I hope it will get i little bit trickier in the next few missions.

Good but “off meta” builds?
I feel like all my builds have come down to being some combination of Striker with either Memento, St. Elmo’s, or Ouroboros at this point. Every now and then I’ll throw in Heartbreaker for PvP.
Is there anything different you guys would could recommend that holds up in harder solo content? Maybe two players at most? Obviously for bigger group content you want to run one of the meta builds, but I’m looking for something different that still is pretty strong.

RNJesus has blessed me the past week
So I’m a returning player new to endgame, and while I had played before I never really collected anything. So when I came back I had practically nothing. And in the past week I’ve gotten some pretty great stuff and just wanted to post about it.
Stuff I got:
Exotics:
All three pieces of Chatterbox on my first Hyena boxes
Memento from an exotic crate
Ninjabike BP on my first run of Countdown Focusing BPs
Scorpio just today from Danny Weaver
A max rolled Coyotes from just normal difficulty Summit (was getting to floor 90 to farm some stuff)
Eagle Bearer from the DZ (with some help from a thankfully friendly random)
High End gear:
2 max rolled picaros holster
CHC/CHD Ceska chest that has been avoiding me for WEEKS. Would always get either a bad perk combo or a bad perk and no obliterate.
And can’t remember off the top of my head but quite a few other good rolls/max rolls on armor pieces I’d been hunting.

Division 1 has fun dialogue
Pretty much the title but to elaborate my first division game was 2, and I never played the first one since I didn't really need to go understand the story and knew the controlea were probably gonna be jank anyway. But it was on sale so I got it and damn why are all the characters having so much more fun! From the main missions to all the side quests the mission brief from NPCs are a lot more playful and kinda meta saying things like "yeah even though the people who died before you have more support and resources you'll survive because you're special✨ :> " like I love Manny and Kelso but they're way too serious all the time with only a few breathes of humor while this first game feels so much more fun. Dialogue wise of course the controles are still jank lol

I finished reading the Operation Crossroads trilogy and I am stunned.
There are questions I have and discoveries that made my jaw drop.
Discoveries:
The dirty bombs in St. Louis were in fact real. I thought it was made up BS from Natalya to get rid of Stovepipe but no, the Outcasts did in fact have a dirty bomb.
There are more factions out there that I didn’t know of such as the Molossi and the Reborn. The Molossi really grew on me because of the firepower they have. Funny enough I was reading “Compromised” while in Athens, Greece and found out about the Greek word, Molossi there.
The LMB are in fact the White Tusk. Again, I didn’t want to believe it but holy shit they really are the White Tusk This shouldn’t be a surprise to me because the wiki literally states that the LMB was merged with the Tusks.
We are gonna have a fight on our hands attempting to deal with Diamond because Natalya has a early copy of Maira’s weapon.
Rogue agents may not be as bad as I think. Some of them went rogue for good reasons. (RIP Gold, Brave, and the other rogues fighting the Hunter. They definitely went down swinging)
Questions
Are there more Hunter Recruiters like Brian? Since Greene is one of the founding members of the Division surely he is also a Recruiter for the Hunters. He definitely reminds me of Brian when it came to wanting Maira apprehended for going “rogue”.
Overall though I absolutely loved reading the Operation Crossroads trilogy as I am a huge fan of the lore of The Division (partially thanks to NGN).

If Theo Parnell dying in the tombs was fake why did we still loot his watch from the mission?
Maybe I'm remembering stuff wrong but at the end of the tombs mission we kill Theo and take his watch that helps us with some stuff.
But if the plan was Theo not actually dying why was he wearing his real watch? Could he have used a fake?
I'm still lost with all the mega division plot so any help would be appreciated thanks

instead gives birth on a floating island called the Delos Islands. Finally the tagline relates back to Delos being a floating island and Boreas being a wind god however I do find it interesting that "born in the cloud. Leto does that make me a god?" can apply to the digital cloud and ANNA asking us if she herself is a god. after all she is mega powerful.
That's it on the side of Mythology stuff now we just need to see what happens with Nyx the goddess of the night and she might have something to do with the True sons or more likely the black tusk because the other watches are stylised relating to other factions in the Div2 world.

PSA: The servers are screwed up right now so you might want to stop playing for a bit
Today it took myself half an hour to connect to the servers. My friend had the same issue. We played for a couple hours and people kept randomly joining our game out of nowhere and leaving. Called it quits for the night. Other people here are having issues changing servers, losing data/progress. I tried logging back in and it took 10 minutes of Bravo-09 errors saying my Playstation profile was missing. Just got back in and lost all the SHD levels I gained.
If you can play the game, be wary you might lose progress. Save often if you choose to play on, but I would t risk it. Your mileage may vary.

hunter can't hack Rogue Agent's ANNA network?
I was curious about this while playing the game. Hunters can't hack Anna, the rogue agent network?Hunters are an organization created from the very beginning with the purpose of hunting Division agents, so it is understandable to think that they can hack it since they have higher authority than the agents.
However, the Anna used by Rogue agents appears to use its own network, so I wonder if hunters can hack it.
Keener's watch used by the player seems to have limited functionality. It doesn't seem like it's entirely using the Anna network.
Is there anything in the game that explains this?

How realistic do you think the weapons are in this game? Specically, the tech stuff?
I have been using my turret and drone for years. The biggest problem I see with both of these, is the autonomy, and what seems to be unlimited ammo. But I am not familiar at all with the other talents.
