How to safely encrypt my own data?
When the Feds raided James O'Keefe, I took on the mantra, *encrypt everything.* Even just everyday data. Back up everything regularly, keep a copy safely outside my house.
I went with Luks2 encryption, and felt pretty safe. Then I find out there is "elcomSoft" that can just break Luks, no problem. MINIMAL KYC TO BUY THIS PRODUCT.
Is there any tech that is ahead of the curve, that can't be cracked if they get your physical drive? Not trying to evade LE, just protecting my privacy.

coreboot alternative hw recommendation
I would love to get myself new free laptop, I know the old thinkpad work with coreboot and that system 76 does some corebooted builds. Im wondering if there are some free hw laptops there to purchase with more performance (I knew there was g505s lenovo which whould have been free)
maybe some new thinkpad that was added to the list and I did not know of
Most importantly if I would clean my laptop of me, would there be another potential security issues when you take in mind that hw is older (thinkpads)

Kyc or no kyc for crypto exchanges?
Someone knows if doing the kyc on an exchange is more safe than not doing it? I don't want to track my boughts for crypto but if I have to keep them on an exchange without kyc is more safe or I can be easily robbed of them?

Which one is the best firewall app for android in 2022? Netguard or RethinkDns?

Hacking Voice Assistants
Hello everyone! I am doing research for my next video on hacking voice assistants. This is concerning all the mainstream voice assistant apps and devices such as Siri, Google Voice, Amazon Echo/Alexa, Microsoft Cortana and others.
So far I've found how attackers can send malicious commands to these devices via ultrasound, obfuscated sound or lasers to trick them into exposing sensitive data or opening a malicious website.
This is a really interesting topic since everyone seems to be eager to install these home assistant devices in their homes and they are ubiquitous in our smart devices.
If you know of any interesting research or cases of any kind of attack, whether theoretical, practical or used in the wild, please share them here with everyone.
If you are a user of a voice assistant tool (app or device) let me know your experience with and whether you were victim of an attack on your voice assistant or noticed some odd behavior in your voice assistant.
Is there anyone familiar with open source voice assistant alternatives? If you have experience, let me know, please. I have questions.

Advise on configuring second browser
Hoping someone can please clear this up for me. I have regular Firefox as my browser for when i want to keep tabs open, log in to accounts, sync bookmarks etc. I have hardened this browser using THO hardening guide on YouTube. I have uBO advanced mode, containerise, CookieAutoDelete, LocalCDN add-ons installed.
I have installed another instance of Firefox (dev) to use for random/casual browsing. This browser clears all cookies & history on exit (strict mode). My question is... is it necessary to use uBlock Origin in medium/advanced mode on this second browser, considering all cookies, tracking content, history etc get cleared on exit anyway? And will it matter if i leave Javascript enabled on this 2nd browser? I'm thinking that because everything gets nuked when i close the browser, i may not need the advanced setup?
Any thoughts?

Can Someone Hack My Thermostat? (ZWave)
I was wondering if a ZWave network could be an attack surface in my home. I have a Samsung Smart Home hub that connects to lightbulbs, thermostat, etc. I've wondered if ZWave is hackable at all.
I consciously avoid things like "WiFi lightbulbs" but wasn't sure about the ZWave/Zigbee spectrum.

What makes Android phones bad for privacy?
Hi. I know that Android is a good, secure and private operating system by default but what makes it bad is google play services. My question is, if I get rid off google play services on phones from Xiaomi or Samsung will I have a good, private and secure phone or is there other stuff that decide that? Thanks for your help.

Suggestion Required
It have been around 5 years since i got my first Phone ,During that time i heard that we can make as many gmail acc ,as we want
So i use to make a new gmail after every Factory reset of my device and i never thought about my old mails
But around 2k20 i started taking my privacy seroiusly and now i m trying to recovery as many as gmail acc i can
so that i can delete its data and hence delete the account
But there are many account i know i have made whose mail ,passwaord i didnt know and they dont even have recovery mail or phno.
And I know Some of mail id but didnt know password and they didnt have any recovery mail,phno
So what should i do ?
I have Deleted the data of mails ids that i have recover and soon will delete those account but what about the rest of ids Which i am not able to recover
Should I leave them as it is ,as After 24 month of Inactivity in Acc. google will Automatically delete their data
From Some of these Mail which i can not recover
I gess I have made some other Account of Fb and other websites whose pass i didnt rembember
Whay should I do about them
