Is it a good idea to play a "chess match" against yourself in the terms of cybersecurity?
Hello! I have thought of learning both red and blue team cybersecurity, even though i know next to nothing about it. From that i got the idea to set up a simple server from a relatively old computer with Debian server OS to pentest progressively as i learn. At the same time, i dont have much of an idea WHERE to start. The place im studying is pretty much trash at explaining these things. Any advice is welcome!

Can i triple boot Windows and 2 Linux distros on two disks? And what privacy focused distro is best for daily drive?
Hello! As the title states, i want to triple boot (if possible) on two disks. I have one 1TB disk on which i have my main linux os, and another one (500GB) on which i have Windows, cuz i need it for school. I am wondering if it would be possible to put another linux distro on the 500GB one without any problems. I am an IT student and i sadly need Winbloat because of C# and some other things. My motive to do this is trying out more distros without deleting my main distro.

Google Photos privacy flaw - private photos accessible with just a link (still not fixed after 18 months)
I found a privacy problem in u/Googlephotos. Anyone with a link can see private photos. No login. No password. Even in incognito mode.
Google closed my report and called it a "feature".
It has been over 18 months. Google still has not fixed this. I even emailed the CEO. Nothing happened.

Building a decentralized social network where banning you is architecturally impossible, it's open source, looking for contributors
The platforms we use to communicate have a kill switch. A human being at a company can silence you, throttle your reach, or just pull the plug entirely. I got tired of that being a fact of life and started building something where it isn't.
It's called Agora. No central servers. No moderators. No company. Identities are cryptographic keypairs, your handle is derived from your public key, no need for an email address or phone number. Posts travel over a DHT overlay. Everyone runs the full stack themselves.
What's working right now:
\- Encrypted DMs and group chats with forward secrecy
\- Following/blocking with shareable lists, moderation lives with you, not a central authority
\- Topic channels, local feed algorithm (runs on your machine, no remote black box)
\- Full multilanguage UI
\- User-friendly onboarding, no command line needed
IP hiding is implemented, you can route through Tor (embedded arti client, no external binary). But it's not fully hardened yet. There are edge cases in the DHT gossip layer where your real IP can leak, particularly around bootstrap connections. Until that's solid, running it behind a VPN at the OS level is the safer option. I'd rather tell you that upfront than pretend it's ready.
I need contributors, especially people who know Tor/I2P internals, DHT design, NAT traversal, or Rust async networking. That's the hardest unsolved part. But there's also frontend work, spam resistance, packaging, and translations.

Linux distros and age verification.
I'm going to switch to linux soon and was set on one of the more popular operating systems. Then I found out that that distro (along with the other popular distros) is planning to comply with age verification laws. I do have a VPN so I yes, I can ensure the device never knows I'm in a state where such laws are in place, but I'm worried some of the more popular distros down the line may go the route of doing a form of global age verification that involves more than just a self-reported age. Not saying it will happen next year but I think you can understand why I'm paranoid. What are some good distros for daily use on PC that will not implement age verification?
