Setting question
Hi there privacy community! How are you! I'm new here, trying to implement new settings after watching TheHatedOne videos. I have some questions, i would be grateful if someone is willing to help me!
1 - i cannot afford at the moment a new phone (pixel) to get Graphene. I currently have Samsung, which is not working good with Lineage or other OS, so i must stick with standard OS.
My question is: if there is no sandboxing or advanced privacy/firewall settings, can i still create anonymous profiles (which i don't want to be connected to me es. Briar, Signal, monero wallet, tutamail and other), or should i wait to get Graphene?
i already disabled any google account and tracking, but i don't know.
2 - in my country there is no way of getting an anonymous SIM card, and i need to carry my phone with me (for family and work reason), and there is no wifi everywhere available.
Is there a way to work around this? Whay should i do, not to give up my privacy?
3 - i cannot use vpn, firewall and orbot at the same time (they all go on VPN-Settings in my phone). Which one should i use, when and why?
Thanks!! have a nice day

Free Open Source Software for Smartphones in New Zealand
Dear fellow privacy lovers,
I live in the bottom of the South Pacific New Zealand.
I don't want to use Apple iPhones or Google Android smartphones.
Unfortunately, most of the operating system recommended here require smartphone models that are not available in little old New Zealand:
https://www.privacytools.io/android-alternatives
I use Firefox, tutanota, protonmail, duckduckgo and F-droid on my smartphone.
The operating system for the smartphone is my weakest link.
Do you have any recommendations?
Thanks,
Young student

People who don't care about privacy (everyone) are starting to drive me crazy
Not expecting everyone to use GrapheneOS with no SIM and use only Briar from now on of course BUT
For work we use an app to get our shifts given to us. People always say to me, wow I can't believe you don't have X app. THERE IS A FREAKING BROWSER people, and you can access it all through that. The app offers basically zero extra functionality. You need to check it once a week and that's it - no big deal.
I showed people using Privacy Exodus that it has 25 permissions and 9 trackers... full network / location access, modify all files on phone.
25 permissions and 9 trackers... for a rostering app, is just totally unnecessary.
I show people this and they say damn that's crazy, but no one makes a change.
I could go on for hours.
Why is this the case?

BlackBerry Build?
Hello,
I was close to getting a flip phone the other day but then it occurred to me that I like having a full keyboard and email. Is there a secure build/set up I could do with a blackberry?

Most up to date recommendation for a cheap Windows laptop?
I apologize if someone has already answered, this I am not very tech savy, so I don't know how to find that.
I care deeply about privacy and security, and I TRIED, I tried really hard to switch to Linux, but I just keep struggling. I have decided I need to at least own a windows laptop, to use for situations that I don't use Linux for.
Can someone recommend what is currently a good option for a budget-friendly Windows laptop that is at least less bad for privacy than other Windows? If I have to use Windows, what should I get?
I would appreciate some advice on this.
