KingSener Battery Test

With the obsolescence of OEM batteries, people are forced to buy from third party stores, and while the quality and safety of such products are still up to debate, I decided to test KingSener store as it's the most popular third party supplier.
This simple review is completely independent, I bought these batteries myself and been using them for *over a year now*. I will provide the most objective and fair assessment possible.

Disassembling the plastic case wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be. With the right tools, you can open the case with few to no damage (I still broke some plastic clips).
The plastic casing of KingSener feels solid and durable. I own 3 other batteries which were made in 2018 labeled "Lenovo", I don't know if they're genuine OEM, but the plastic quality of the KingSener is nearly indistinguishable from these three.

by the looks of it, it appears to be NCR18650B with a supposed capacity of around 3300mAh. You can search it's data sheet for more details.

**little side note: I measured the voltage of each cell at different intervals. They were balanced all the time

The results indicate some degradation in capacity. To be fair, I performed a discharge test one year ago, and it showed a higher capacity ( two pictures above).
\--In hindsight, I find opening the battery case stupid and almost pointless, I was just curious about the type and reliability of the 18650s inside. I didn't trust the software's results before this.

T14S are workhorses
I've got a story for you that truly highlights just how much of a workhorse the Lenovo T14s is, and frankly, how good Premier Support can be.
I'm the IT guy for our company, and one of our users, a lovely woman, is a very heavy smoker – specifically, she rolls her own. Now, I've seen some grimy laptops in my time, but this one took the biscuit. She brought in her T14s recently complaining of overheating and a seriously loud fan.
I opened it up, fully expecting some dust and maybe a bit of general muck. What I found, however, genuinely stunned me. The entire machine, particularly around the fan and heatsink, was absolutely choked with what I can only describe as roll-up tobacco. I'm talking actual strands and clumps of dried tobacco, densely packed in there. It looked like the laptop had been actively smoking along with her for months.
Despite this truly astonishing level of internal contamination, the T14s was still chugging along. Loudly, yes, and probably hotter than Hades, but it was still working. This thing had been inhaling tobacco like a chimney for who knows how long, and it just kept going. Unbelievable.
We obviously couldn't let it continue like that, so I called Lenovo Premier Support. And let me tell you, they were brilliant. They despatched an engineer who came out, took one look at my face as I explained the situation (and probably gagged a little internally when he saw the evidence), and got straight to it.
He completely stripped the machine down, meticulously cleaned out all the tobacco (a job I definitely didn't envy him for!), replaced the fan, reapplied new thermal paste, and even put on a brand-new bottom cover because the old one was... well, let's just say it had seen better, non-tobacco-infused days.
The laptop is now running like a dream – silent, cool, and no longer smelling like an old pub ashtray.
