Hello redditors! Time to thin the herd some, and dropping a rare unicorn here for you today. This W700ds is truly a sight to behold. Photos don't really do this 19lb beast much justice. This one has been loved, and has scuffs and bumps to show it. It is however in very solid shape (because of course!) and runs fine, and everything works as far as I have dabbled with it the past three years. The pop-out screen works great and the mechanism feels fine. It will come with a Lenovo genuine power supply. I will also include a Core 2 Extreme quad-core CPU upgrade for it. I pulled this from a Dell M4800 I believe it was, intending to upgrade it, but never got around to it. It's currently running Windows 10, and I actually have a Macrium Reflect image of the original XP drive that came with the machine (I don't have the original drive though). I will happily send you a link to download it if you want it.

Only notable issues:
Screen bezel sticker has just a little bit more bezel showing on the bottom edge. Hardly noticeable during use and you forget about it after a few minutes.
When upgrading the screen, they sent me the wrong inner bezel (didn't have the ThinkShutter cutout). So I just made some internal cuts to the bezel to get it to fit. This isn't noticeable in any way since its all covered up by the bezel sticker and functions nicely. Just wanted to disclose it in case you replace the screen at some point and wonder why the bezel looks the way it does once you take it all apart lol.
Very minor wear on the case but overall I would rate it 9/10.
All ports work well as far as I can tell. I did all the updates through Lenovo Vantage so shouldn't have the Thunderbolt issue and I have been getting full speeds on those ports as well as charging.

Unfortunately, my trusty X250 of the last many years has finally started to show its age and my batteries very rapidly started to fail at the beginning of this year. So, the time has come to stop worrying about my ailing batteries that I saw in the last year, and actually get to fixing up that computer.
While many of the parts are in tip-top shape still, the batteries are not and well beyond my expertise to repair.
Now then, please read the following. It limits what I am interested in and if I will answer your PM or comment with your offer.
I AM ONLY LOOKING FOR BATTERIES AND WILL NOT PAY EXTRA FOR YOUR USED FULL X250 MACHINE, AS I DO NOT NEED THE EXTRA PARTS. THIS WARNING EXTENDS TO ADDITIONAL SHIPPING COST IF WEIGHT-BASED AS WELL; I EXPECT EVEN COURRIER SHIPPING WITHIN THE CONTINENTAL USA TO BE WITHIN $25.
It had both kinds of batteries possible for an X250 (product specs sheet):
1x Integrated Li-Ion or Li-Polymer 3-cell (23Wh), my FRU part number was 45N1773 (SANYO manufacturer)
1x External Li-Ion or Li-Polymer 6-cell (72Wh), my FRU part number was 45N1738 (LGC manufacturer)
I WILL FAVOR AN OFFER FOR BOTH OF THESE TOGETHER, AND FOR A 6-CELL 72Wh BATTERY vs OTHER CAPACITIES OR CELL-NUMBERS OF EXTERNAL LENOVO BATTERIES (e.g. 6-cell 48Wh or 3-cell 23Wh). The exact manufacturer/part number however, isn't as important, so please do offer if you have an official Lenovo battery that otherwise meets the description above!
I want to set a budget of $100 (US) for this whole project (including shipping, ideally), but if you have truly NOS (new-old stock) batteries at nearly or at/above 100% design capacity, I will give you a fair rate (probably above $100) for your trouble to maintain such well-preserved batteries.

T480 mobo is i5-8250u. Comes with some disclaimers: the keyboard receptor is faulty. Maybe you can fix it, I couldn't so I just bought a new motherboard. You could also just set this up as some sort of hacked together desktop. All the ports work fine, so a USB keyboard can run it. No drive, RAM or wifi chip is present.
Keyboard is non backlit. A little wear from moderate use, but in good shape, works fine and tested on the new motherboard once installed.

Hopefully i'm doing this right, let me know if i'm not.
I'm clearing out some of my stash that i'll never need. Here, i've got an R40 for parts from a yard sale years ago, never really got around to messing with it 'till today.
CPU: 1.4Ghz Pentium M

Hard Drive: None
CD-ROM drive installed but untested.
Battery status: unknown, but doesn't seem to be completely dead.
Charger: None included (see below)

Hard drive caddy and bezel is missing. The left hinge/bushing is worn out/broken. It opens and closes fine, but has some play. Lid has some light and deep scratches/blemishes.
Why it's a parts machine:
1. Laptop powers up, but never finishes posting. Sometimes it will let me into the BIOS, but most of the time it will lock up on the splash screen.
2. Something is dreadfully wrong with the charging circuit/mobo. Laptop turns on and battery will charge, but after a while it caused one of my OEM IBM chargers to melt down. Giving it the benefit of the doubt, I connected the last one I had. Sure enough after several minutes, it too got abnormally hot. Am keeping my last charger for my T42s.
Other than that, I don't know much else about it.
If you need parts for a box you're trying to fix up, this is for you otherwise don't try to buy this expecting a working box :)

Some other notes:

I have a x230 for sale. Love this thing but I don't really have a use for it and I'm sure someone else can put it to better use. There is some wear on the top lid but it isn't too bad and I'm sure a magic sponge thing would get the job done because nothing is too deep or permanent.
I would note that the previous owner wore down the trackpad a bit so it's glossy and hard to get consistent sliding action on it but I put a dbrand skin over it and it works great.
