After Dark is finally returning!
So Garnt said in his recent stream that After Dark is finally returning, which is going to be a new figure stream on the 19th. He also mentioned that they are changing it up, so it will be 1-2 times a month, but it will be a much longer stream, instead of the 2+ hours that they usually are.

How Trash Taste changed my life... Thank You Trash Taste
Firstly, I know none of the three will read this... But Thank you.
So I started watching TT an year after their launch. To this day I have no idea why in God's name I decided to click on a 2-hour long video of three people I've never seen before talking about "Anime"... But I'm glad I did.
Before starting to watch the podcast, I had barely seen a few of Gigguk's videos and had no idea who the other two were (most probably of my die-hard weeb phase back then)
For the initial few episodes I kind of hated Connor, since he stood out the most among the other two Asians and slightly less-energetic boys (not trying to be racist or anything) but he's started too become one of my favorite Youtuber's of all time (trying to get into Twitch but just don't have the time...)
To preface just how much I've watched the boys... I watch each episodes at least three times (mostly on spotify when I'm on my commute and stuff).
Nowadays, in my mostly event-less life, more or less the only thing which reminds me that a week has passed is when the new Trash Taste episode pops up on spotify.
I was always a silent, introverted kid who was sheltered from the world by nice and amazing parents and siblings... as such, i never felt the need to go out and talk much, but after watching the boys for hundreds of hours... I too yearn to find a friendship like theirs in my life.
I've become more active in talking with others and even though the aim of their discussion is to provide entertainment (which they do), I've learnt soo sooo much about humans by hearing their conversations and am now able to carry out decent and fun talks even with strangers I've never met before.
Before watching the Boys I had imagined that each and every single person associated with the otaku culture was morbidly overweight or even obese (like I was) and had just accepted it as a fact. But after seeing them being not-so-lazy with their content and actually taking care of their bodies like we're supposed to... I too started too workout more and more and am now in a position with my body which is tens of times better than before.
Being an undergraduate, I always felt frightened whenever I thought about my carrer and just what to do with my meaningless life. But seeing Garnt and Connor (engineers like me) pursue a career path which is so deviated than the degree, I've started to think of my future in a much more open sense, accepting the fact that there are endless paths which I can pursue further down the line.
I have no idea why I've blurted out this stuff to absolute strangers, but it kind of feels good... telling others about the joy I feel listening to the boys.
I know and realize fully that I know soooo much more about Garnt, Joey and Connor than they know about me and understand that although we'll most probably never meet in my lifetime. Still... It gives me some kind of weird strength when I think of three weird and random weebs as my Friends.

Probably not that deep
Made an account cuz i just had the urge to shortly comment on this thing i noticed and did not want to bring it up in another posts comment section. I normally just lurk and use reddit without an account.
Let me preface this also with the fact that as the title states it is probably not that deep or important and can happen in this many hours of podcasting/videos.
Anyway, i saw that now hot post about Joey lying or just forgetting about that one ghibli movie and it reminded me of when i had garnts recent stream running in the back and encountered something kind of similar.
He was checking out anime news and at one point was talking about blue lock and mentioned he watched like 9 episodes, then tried the manga and concluded he prefers watching the actual sport, which is totally fine ofc. I would personally agree even though i liked the show.
However that again reminded me of his best of anime 2022 video where he put it fairly high or at least on there together with ao ashi in a positive light and iirc said it is great. Now ofc ones opinion can change as a show goes on yadayada and he may only liked the start.
Granted he and nearly everyone i have seen doing some type of top list obviously knows and also says that a personal best of list and a best of in general are naturally different things. It made me wonder which type his lists are, since i assumed it is a personal list. Probably a mix of both considering people would ask him where is x but they still do anyway so i would not see a big deal in not including it on the list, especially not when one doesnt like it seemingly that much as a whole series.
It obviously nothing bad or major or anything really, beside an opinion, since it is just a show and im not here to analyze anyone, but in the same way i felt about the Joey post it left a kinda meh feeling.
Though afterwards in the stream he talks about the climber which is such a good manga, so that feeling passed on lol.
No clue which flair this would fit and why i actually felt the urge to write about it. Maybe just to make a joke with granted and tell people to check out the climber.
