Opinion needed.
Hi,after watching youtube guides i decided to farm the monarch on killavolt because it was suposed to be (one of) the best heavy machine guns in the game.After one hour of farming it droped one,so i was happy.
But later the same day i droped a breath of the dying,it was a weapon i droped several times in early game but now i'm chaos 11 so it's usefull since my others breath of the dying are lower chaos.
My point is ,why do i feel breath of the dying is a better weapon than the monarch,is it because it really is or because my monarch is a bad roll or what?...

Borderlands 2 DLC
Hey guys, I require some help. I got the borderlands triple pack a while ago for the 360. I need some help with downloading the add-ons for Borderlands 2. I put in the add-on installation disc, start up the game, select everything, then press download, wait for it to download, let it finish, then eject the game and put in the actual game. But nothing new happens, and I know I don't have the DLC downloaded because I don't have the 2 DLC characters or the thing that allows me to get past Lv 50. But I have a Lv 53 character? If anyone knows any fixes or things I'm doing wrong, please tell me!!!

Hey all. As any frequent readers of this sub know, there are tons of people who post about their weapons suddenly changing stats and weapons not being anointed. Many casual players don't understand what hotfixes are and how important they are, so here is the Hotfix Mega Post, describing what hotfixes are, what they do, how to activate them, and more.

Keep in mind: HOTFIXES HAVE TO BE LOADED EVERY TIME YOU LOAD UP THE GAME. However they do stay for the entirety of the game being open, so after a save-quit you don't have to wait for them. If you dont have an internet connection, you can connect to a Hotspot, wait for the hotfixes to load, and disconnect from the Hotspot. The hotfixes will stay loaded the whole session.

What are hotfixes?
A hotfix is a micro-update to the game. The introduction of a new hotfix does not require data to be downloaded, so no updates to the game are necessary before using them. Hotfixes are separate from a major patch. As hotfixes do not require a download, no new features, weapons, areas, etc. can be added. The only things that can be changed are values of various statistics, including weapon damage, skill values, anointment rates, and certain bug fixes.

When do hotfixes come out?
Hotfixes come out every few weeks on Thursdays. You can see the changes on the Borderlands website or in the sidebar of this subreddit. They used to be every week but have slowed down a bit.

Why hotfixes? Why not add everything in a patch?
Since hotfixes don't require a download, the developers are able to add them freely, whenever they want to. With a patch, Gearbox has to go through Microsoft, Sony, Valve, and Epic Games and get their permission, and they have to pay. It's not like those companies will say no, but Gearbox having to pay for a patch every week would be ridiculous. It's smart on the business side to only have a patch every month or two since they aren't adding content every hotfix.

How do hotfixes work?
Since hotfixes are not downloaded to the game permanently, the game has to automatically update upon opening. This requires an internet connection and can take a few seconds. Once you load your hotfixes once in a session, you're good. They will be there the whole time. However, once the game is closed, the data for the hotfixes are gone. So the next time you open the game you have to let them download again. Without an internet connection, hotfixes can not load.

What exactly do the hotfixes effect?
The major changes you'll notice without hotfixes include:
Gun stats decreasing. Same goes for increases if a gun is nerfed, but no recent nerfs have come out.
Skills changing. Sometimes values of skills get changed, such as Fl4k's original leave no trace nerf, or more recently the Zane buffs to skills like Cold Bore. I'm not sure which ones are still locked to hotfixes, but if any change that's most likely why.
Anointment Rates. At mayhem levels 8 and higher, anointments on gear is guaranteed (unless the item cannot roll anointments, such as artifacts and certain guns like the Linc). If you aren't getting anointments on all your gear, its because of your hotfixes not being applied.
Bug Fixes. While major changes can't be put in a hotfix, minor bugs can be fixed. This can include things like out of bounds fixes.
Mini Events. Whenever a mini event is active, hotfixes need to be applied for them to work. As of 1/1/2021, the Co-op loot event is active. Hotfixes need to be applied for this to work. Hotfixes are also required for events like red chest events or extra boss loot.
How do you know when hotfixes are applied?

If I may ask, has anybody else opened a red chest at a low level and got something that’s around 10 levels higher than them?
Earlier while working on my Mordecai save file, I opened a red chest at level 13 in Arid badlands (the giant bandit outpost red chest), and got a level 22 SG1100-8 Terrible Carnage somehow. Has this happened to anybody else at all?

Ascendency bluff vault how to open
If you still don’t know how to open the ascendence bluff vault go to clap traps room in the ship where him and his friend are. On the table there is a safe there is a mission that gives you access to the vault as long as you have the directors cut dlc. Once you collect the mission you will be able to enter the vault as if it were a regular location.

Most underrated and overrated character
Title.
IMO the most underrated is Sir Hammerlock, he is inherently a funny character (19th century explorer in a scifi far future setting), a nice and polite guy, and happens to be extremely cool and compelling but I see basically no fanart or content of him compared to other characters.
The most overrated is Rhys Strongfork. He is literally just some pathetic corporate guy and some of you all treat him like either a god or an uwu baby that can do no wrong.

Zane build based on splash damage.
So when running solo with the hustler build with splash damage weapons it looks kinda basic. Though when on multi player it’s unreal can’t even see the map is there a reason for this.

5. Little internet logo appears under your name (I'm not sure if the no internet thing appears if your internet is on but you don't have hotfixes loaded, I had to disconnect from the internet to get the screenshot)
6. (Audio) A "Ding!" sound will play when they load
7. (Varies) if its a holiday or a major event there may be things in the background to match it, such as presents and snow for Christmas or skulls for Halloween.

What if my hotfixes don't load?
If its been a minute or so and they haven't loaded, make sure you are connected to the internet. Make sure your game is updated to the most recent update. And restart your game. If they don't load still, feel free to ask the sub or contact Gearbox.

Am I doing something wrong or is the scaling this bonkers?
I was playing as moze and up to level 59 the Iron Bear could melt anything on mayhen 8. Just hit 60 and now he barely tickles the enemies. Like I spend the entire Iron Bear shooting at the same enemie and If I'm Lucky he can break the shield.
My build os bottonless mag + shield of retribution till the cap, the last 5 points was the kill skill that reduces the CD of Iron Bear on demolition women
