Rubberized grenade mechanics
I have some questions that I couldn't find exact details over regarding rubberized grenades.
The in-game description says that each bounce increases explosion damage and radius. Is the damage and radius listed on the card the initial starting damage & radius, or is it the max that it can build up to? Any info on the damage and radius of the other bounces (e.g. starts out 25% smaller than what's listed, ends up doing 15% more damage than what's listed, etc.) How many times will it bounce before the final detonation? Is there a set maximum number or is it on a timer or something else I'm missing? When I test out purples in a mostly empty room, I seem to usually get four bounces, but sometimes I'm getting five.
Also, does it activate all of its detonation effects on each individual bounce, or are the payload effects reserved until its final bounce? I seem to get conflicting results -- When I test out a "jumping" grenade, the jump effect appears to only affect the first bounce. Sticky effects seem to trigger on each bounce. Singularities only seem to trigger on the final bounce, so I'm a bit confused by the inconsistency. If it has something like a "link" augment, would the links be specific to each bounce, or could enemies be linked over the course of multiple bounces? In some ways it seems to function the same as a grenade with a "bouncy" augment, but then other augments are only triggered on a single bounce with no obvious rhyme or reason for the differences.
I'd greatly appreciate any details on the specifics of rubberized grenades' damage, radius and detonation effects, as I only seem to be finding very general descriptions in my searches and my methods of collecting data on this are unfortunately a bit limited.

Questions and feelings about the opening of the game
So ive beaten BL3 once, and I wanted to try it again. Maybe engage with all the endgame content this time.
First I just gotta say, dear god youtube ONLY has videos about the endgame content, NOTHING about building a character to GET to the endgame stuff. And maybe it doesnt really matter but when im only seeing stuff about level 72, its hard to think about the climb TO 72.
But when I started the game I realized how SLOW this opening is. How do you get yourself through it without being bored to tears? Like we all know the story is bad but all the slow walking, talking, Ive barely had a chance to shoot a gun in 30 minutes of playing.

Moze Action Skill DPS feels way ahead of gun power late-game
I'm pretty late into BL3 (Normal Difficulty) and just took down one of the Calypso twins. I've noticed that my action skill DPS is way ahead of my guns. Iron Bear just absolutely melts health bars, while my guns, even some of the legendaries, feel like they’re barely doing anything against the bosses.
I kinda miss how BL2 felt more like a dogfight. I played as Axton and the turret helped but it never was the main damage dealer. Rocket launchers and solid guns actually felt impactful, and fights felt more back-and-forth.
In BL3, it feels as if most bosses just absorb bullets until Iron Bear steps in and deletes them. Regular enemies go down fine with guns, but bosses? Maybe 2-3 have been challenging even with Iron Bear.
The only other time my guns felt useless late-game was fighting the Empyrean Sentinel from TPS, which I only managed to beat because I had a rare Gatling gun with good stats that hard carried the whole fight.
Anyone else feel this way?

If we one day get a Borderlands 2 Remake, be a dream to merge TPS into it.
Imagine
- Start TPS where Athenas held hostage
- play “Non-Canon” characters from TPS
- bring TPS unique items into BL2 & vice versa
- characters will see you as Athena if playing Bl2 characters
- Wilhelm vs Wilhelm
- using Athena’s shield on Pandora or Gaiges anarchy in space will be endless fun

Question about tiny tinas wonderlands for the mentally “sane” people
Why are some of the reviews calling the game “woke”? I don’t really see anything “woke” about it tbh

How to go about end game efficiently?
I just finished the main story and I'm a little confused with how to continue. I have the ultimate edition and planned on doing a second playthrough since I skipped DLC the first time because I was advised to hit max level because of some DLC rewards. But I had no idea mayhem existed and scaled all the enemies to my level.
Should I try farm xp on mayhem 1 to get to level 72 then work on increasing my mayhem level while doing the DLC? How long does working my way up mayhem take? Should I replay the game on a higher diff with mayhem both active?

Do people actually dislike the Bearcat???
Edit: thank you to the people who taught me that Mayhem is NOT going to just be "the game as-is but with bigger numbers and a few twists"! I'll enjoy my beloved Bearcat while it lasts, then retire it.
Various old threads on this subreddit are full of comments saying the Bearcat is bad and I truly can't understand why. The only reason I've seen is that the grenades spread out too much, but that's* *why I use the gun*.
Every time I approach a new encounter, I carpet bomb the area and inflict cryo (helpful for Zane) or radiation on every single enemy in sight. Then I pick off a couple of survivors with my Omniloader, reload, then switch back to Bearcat and repeat for any new enemies that appear. When I'm fighting just one enemy (making carpet bombing impractical), I just switch to another weapon. So easy.
What am I missing? I've only just started True Vault Hunter mode, so maybe it completely uses its utility after some point I haven't reached yet.

Issue with guardian rank.
So I just recently decided to get back into BLs because of 4 coming out and I transfered my Zane and Moze from my ps4. I looked into a bug dealing with the guardian rank and my rank is registering but not the coins. My current rank is 72 but I can only use 11 tokens. Is there a way to fix this? The bug i looked into was about negative tokens but that doesn't seem to be the issue that I'm having. Help please.

There's no Tales sub, and I know mentioning New Tales is a sin punishable by death in these parts, but someone on Tumblr found the full script for NTftBl

Started tiny tinas wonderlands today.. my honest review so far.
Ive made it a decent chunk into the game and i gotta say im having a complete BLAST. The guns are super fun to use,. The graphics and story are nice. The combat is super fun, theres varying enemy types so it isnt just the sane enemies OVER AND OVER. Im running a stabbomancer and brr-zerker build for fun melee kills.
Literally only con i have rn is the inventory management throws me off a bit and is a bit confusing. Also the customizable, while great, needs more stuff like more armor, hair styles, etc. thats about it. Loving it so far and look forward to playing it more tomorrow

General Knoxx DLC's focus on vehicles really shows how bad car combat is
I hate that I have to drive so much to get anywhere in the DLC. It's not the long drives that bother me, I kinda like them tbh: admiring the view, driving fast. I gives me Highway 17 feels from Half-Life 2. What bothers me is the combat.
Your movement AND aim being tied to the camera really sucks. Maybe that's a PC problem, but if feels really awkward when I'm used to being to look/aim around independently from my car's movement. The Monster's tracking missiles mitigates this to a point, but I feel vehicles in general are too fragile and more of a risk than a convenience in combat. Sometimes I prefer to exit and defeat vehicles on foot, which is shame since ths DLC in particular puts so much focus into vehicles and car combat.
Any tips to make car combat more satisfying?

I beat the pre-sequel after quite a few years and heres my honest review.
Short review: 7/10
Long review:
The game can be alot of fun, honestly the atmosphere, the guns, the vault hunters are all very well done.
Pros: the game isnt too long and its not too short. The ending boss fight is honestly the best in the series (my own opinion) i love how the ending actually FELT like an ending to a game. I love the attention to detail when it came to the background atmosphere too. Imo its an incredible game, i love like that your vault hunter actually says alot more in this game and has more of a personality than BL1. I often found myself coming up with strategies to win certain battles aswell because my dumb self didnt do any side quests so i was severely under leveled near the end of the game.
Cons: they really need to do something about the soundtrack, i usually never care for soundtracks much but it was the soundtrack that made me often tend to get bored and take breaks from the game. Istg you see the same character models for like 8-9 chapters before seeing new enemy types which also added to the boredom, most enemies felt the same to fight. The intro areas up until chapter 5-6 tend to be very uninteresting. After that tho it picks up really well
Honestly its a pretty underrated game and i enjoyed my experience most of the way through.
Will be most likely switching to borders two now to beat that and give it a review. Or play tiny tinas wonderland since i just bought the ultimate edition for only $13 on xbox
(I played as athena)

I just want the villain to be good
BL2 was my stepping on point for the series and the reason I felt so disappointed with 3 was just how boring the villains were. Jack was so charismatic and an interesting character. It also felt more like you were underdogs fighting an oppressive more advanced force, whereas I just don’t get that from 3. I know the calypsos are supposed to be ironic but they’re just straight up annoying and didn’t ever feel intimidating. Even Jack had moments where his threats felt scary (this could be more down to voice acting tbf).
The timekeeper looks cool so far I just hope he has more personality than “ruthless dictator”.
