Can someone explain the purpose of bad legendary weapons?
I was just playing around with other legendary weapons I find and notice significant dps drop. I was just wondering if theres a specific purpose these guns are designed for or is it really to just give us illusion theres lots of weapon choices?
One theory is that maybe some guns are better with certain classes and mods etc and maybe im just not combining them well but i notice some pistols or smgs with like 10-15k dmg and some pistols have like 50k+ dmg..
I guess im having fomo on these lower damage weapons and feel like im missing something.. i hate finding loads of new legendary but they do barely any damage..
And yes im aware that corosive does most dmg on yellow targets, and shock on blue etc..

Mayhem Weapon HELP (Active Skill)
I have tried 2 weapons that say 'Creates a Nova of 4550 while Action Skill is active'. So i tried but i never get the Nova. Not when my shield is broken or i almost Die, and i use the Rack Attack (3 times in a row). So what am i doing wrong. i also tried the other Skill Where the dude get invisible, but still the Nova dosn't work. I don't understand, so maybe i am doing something wrong?

Borderlands 4 Sidequests Rant
I'm about 50 hours into the game and I'm at a point where I just don't even want to do side quests anymore because just to get to them requires so much traversal that you end up spending 10-15+ minutes just trying to find your way to them due to the crazy verticality of the terrain and the way the pathfinder your robot assistant works which is so often confusing. I never had this issue in the other Borderlands games. And then to add insult to injury, the quest rewards are just trash. I wish they'd bring flavor text rare weapons back like in BL2. That made side questing so rewarding. BL4? Ugh, such a drag. I'm going to finish the main campaign and put this thing down

What jerk programmed claptrap wand quest in the Tina dlc?
OMG I hate them. I'm playing as Maya so have the aura thing and the acid cloud and I'm overleveled for the dlc. As a result, this quest was the stupidest thing I have seen in these games and I did all the area challenges for TPS.
As a refresher, its the one where you need to insert the wand into enemies and then kill them in a specific way, first a Golem with explosive damage, then a spider with electric and finally an orc with a headshot.
Unfortunately whatever intern they had program the quest didn't count the kills if anything else happened during the last hit. Apparently they also count elemental/acid cloud damage BEFORE bullet damage. I inserted the wand into the Golem then shot the crap out of it with an explosive rifle but NOPE, didn't count. Took about 30 tries with claptrap repeating the same line every time it failed. The spider didn't take too many tries luckily but the orc, OMG I had to go and reset my skill points just to do the stupid quest because even though I see CRITICAL pop up on the screen with an overleveled sniper rifle it apparently counts the acid cloud damage or something as the final hit despite the bullet clearly doing more than enough damage to one shot him.
The only saving grace is that they didn't do the douchey thing some other quests do where if you mess up it makes you restart the whole thing.

Can you Respec the Guardian Tokens?
those Guardian tokens don't really add up imo, so i am at 5 % like Gun damage etc. but i see a Tree next to it where you can get Nice stuf, Like 'All penalty's during Fight for your life no longer apply', But it cost like 25 pts, so can you Respec and add those point to the Guardian tree, or can you only Respec the Skill Tree. (ps also i see that you can disable the Guardian tree, but why would you do that?)

How much xp per level??
I feel like at level 45 on mayhem 3 I'm leveling so fast.. my favorite part of these games is leveling all the way up and making it last at least until I've completed all the story and DlC. If I got max level too soon part of the fun dies.
I did the krieg dlc and am halfway through jackpot dlc.
Anyone have any idea of how much xp is needed for each level?
Is it gonna start taking longer between levels past 50? Cause now even a little bit of mobbing gives me so much xp it's like it feels like it's going too fast. Makes me not want to farm etc or go for anything good.
How would you guys minimize XP gain while still maintaining fun without just running through everything without shooting.

Retaining random/hybrid weapons
Eager to start playing and been reading into the randomizer functionality. I haven't determined that anyone has found a solution to keeping the guns generated with the randomizer. Seems like the problem lies in the way the game draws gun parts from a pre-specified pool derived from the manufacturer. Here's an interesting read; beyond my abilities, but anyone have any input on how feasible it is to accomplish?

Can I transfer firmware to the same item from multiple items? To clarify, can I transfer three Deadeye items to the same crit knife in order to have the full deadeye effect from one knife?

Question about TVHM
I am trying to get all achivements and one of them is to complete all side quests of the game, and i think the last side quest is to kill Terramorphus, an quest i can't complete cause i still under lvl

Stuck on main story mission
(Labeled as bug report because there's nothing else that this could possibly be)
Hey, all. I started playing this game on PS3 a few weeks ago and got to the free Angel mission after defeating the bunker robot. I got into her chamber and noticed the audio was mostly muted (except for all the gunshots, which were merely muffled); no character dialog audio, no enemy noises, none of that. To make note, I didn't even mess with any settings beforehand. After I defeated the enemies, turrets, and shock coils present, Roland showed up like normal. And this is where my issue comes in.
Roland kept standing in the middle of the platform, his image appearing at the mini-map side like he's saying something, but there was no audio to be heard. The weird part is that when I tried to save and quit to the main menu, nothing happened and I was still there and moving around like normal. So I turned off the console entirely and restarted the game. This fixed the sound issue, but when I entered the main chamber and tried shooting the eridium tubes, nothing happened at all, not even damage being taken. So I quit out again and relaunched it, with the idea to leave the area and come back. But this resulted in me being stuck on a black loading screen hell. So I shut it off again and am now penning this post.
I don't know what happened or why this all happened, but I'm effectively stuck in the central angel core with no way to progress. It's pissing me off, and I don't know how to fix this at all. Not sure if there's anyone in this community who played this game on the Playstation back in the day, but if y'all are here, I summon you to weigh in on this.

UVHM really pisses me off sometimes
I like finally getting loot that's on level with my character but the bullet sponge enemies really get frustrating. Even slagged so many of the enemies take forever to kill and the "Rabid" animals are just plain unfun to fight. Meanwhile I'm getting downed constantly even with gear on-level

Steam keys
I redeemed all the key codes and skin codes I could on the shift website. But they aren't showing up in game. Not in rewards history. And when I trying to enter the code in game it says the code was already redeemed. So I know my game and shift are linked. But nothing is showing up in game. Anyone else have this problem and know how to fix it?

Bramblesong is still broken.
I'm farming for a phosphene Convergence. I killed Bramblesong 100 times today. I was holding back and only dealing the kill damage when it was flying as far away from the cliff edge as possible. On kill, sixteen times it jerked back all the way across the area towards the cliff and spilled my loot into the abyss. Of those sixteen, six had a legendary drop. From the sound, I don't think any of them were phosphene.
There's nothing more I can do to avoid this. It's been a problem since launch and nothing has been done to fix it. 16% chance of losing your legendary drop is total BS. I know there's an easy fix. There are so many unwanted invisible walls in this open world game, they could add one to the Bramblesong arena that spawns after it flies into the center area. The idea being: do the opposite of the barrier that blocks the red chest cave. When the fight is over, the barrier for the abyss de-spawns.
While they're at it, they can do something to fix the problem with legendary loot falling into the floor on other bosses.
Before anyone replies: The lost loot machine is unreliable. It does not always collect gear that falls into the abyss or gets stuck below the floor or lands outside the Oppressor zone.

New to borderlands
hey guys, i'm very new to the game, i picked up the first three games (borderlands 1, 2 and presequel) for like $8 during the black friday sale.
i've finished borderlands 1 and most of the dlc and i've just started borderlands 2, im enjoying it for the most part, i just had a couple of questions for everyone.
1. i didn't complete the claptrap revolution dlc as i found myself siding with the claptraps, is it important for me lore wise to finish this dlc?
2. i noticed that there's a dlc for borderlands 2 with something about lilith defending sanctuary, the game came with every other dlc but not this one and its like $20 is it worth getting? or should i complete the game and then decide?
3. the crewmerax in borderlands one, i haven't challenged yet but is listed at level 61, my character after completing most of the games content is only level 45, should i be trying to grind to level 60 to face this boss or is it supposed to be over levelled?

Are Legendary Enhancements some kind of joke everyone is in on except me?
I have two Vault Hunters at 50, another around 40 and another just started. Have done tons of Rift Guardians, Vile Bounties, Vault Guardians, Drill Sites, Mines, etc. Sitting around 150 hours played, which is a lot for my work/life schedule. I get not having a phosphene drop, they're supposed to be super rare. But in all this time, I have yet to see even one Legendary Enhancement. Am I doing something wrong or does my game just hate me?

Zane SNTNL/Clone advise
I've only ever played Moze and Amara and I'm trying to get into Zane. I am level 45 so far and have leaned into a SNTNL/Clone playstyle with the Breathe of the Dying. The problem is that I feel very weak going through the Love and Tentacles DLC, and I started to look at other people's builds.
All I find for my build are 5+ years old comments about it being OP or advice to drop my build for the Mantis Cannon. However I am not good at the constant moving needed for a lot of his boosts, I tend to fire from cover and only move when needed.
Should I scrap my build and respec him with a different playstyle, or is his movement bonuses too integral to playing him?
