This narrative that every M+ group is toxic needs to stop.
There's been an uptick of "M+ is toxic, people are flaming every dungeon, people getting kicked left and right" posts on this sub lately, and I want to offer an alternative viewpoint.
Right out of the gate, I'm not trying to insinuate that toxicity doesn't exist, there are some jerks out there that are just miserable and want to take it out on others.
That being said, the VAST majority of runs start and finish with at worst nothing being said at all, and at best people joking around and having a good time. No one gets flamed, no one gets kicked, no one rages. The group goes in, does the content without a hitch (or a few small ones), and every goes on their merry way.
The game is not nearly as toxic as Reddit and the WoW forums would make it seem, and I don't want people to be discouraged from playing certain types of content because they get their gameview from forums (where people go to predominantly complain).

To all the healers, I am sorry
I usually play dps, but the endless queues made me switch to a prot warrior this season
All was fine and good till I finally reached +8 keys, and boy oh boy, turns out I suck as a tank. I fold like a spoiled banana on the simplest of pulls.
As any self aware person my first instinct is to naturally blame the healer, but he’s dead from that single drain fluids that no one interrupted.
Then I move the big screaming guy one inch to dodge the puddle his friends cast, two melee insta dead from cleave and yelling at me “Don’t fucking move it!!!1111”.
I literally need to be topped up on full for every single pull now, and some healers just flat out refuse to heal once the pull has ended; so I pull on half hp, insta drop to 5% then I panic and pop every single cd and pot I have, but some massive aoe comes and someone dies cuz the healer is busy topping me up.
Basically every mob and boss has some fucked up one shot mechanic or full party dps, that the group is expected, through adequate play, to survive through. Kicks, defensives and dps checks are basically essential even on single group pulls. And dear lord how they are missed over and over. And on this level it very often feels like 1 wipe and the whole key is bricked, then there’s a bunch of flaming and leaving to follow. These are not +10,11,12s these are 8s.
You healers are so fucked, all the mechanics hurt everyone so hard and you need to compensate for the endless litany of mistakes that I make, and also not make many mistakes yourselves cuz if anything touches you, you die. Can’t even imagine how it will be on higher keys.
So anyways, I am defo not touching my druid this season, and sorry I totally forgot to interrupt as well cuz I was staring at the tank busting mob to pop my defensives.

Why I Tank in Wow ... Some will understand
I know it might sound weird, but being the main tank in my guild and tanking for groups in general, has given me something that I don’t really get from real life ... it makes me feel like a man again.
IRL, I’m a single guy with no close family or friends. My days are pretty quiet, my office is quiet, my home is quiet, I don't date or seek relationships, I don’t have anyone who truly depends on me, or looks to me for support, and that can make things feel pretty empty at times. I chose this life and its ok, but, that all changes the moment I log in.
As a tank, everything depends on me. In a dungeon, when the group starts falling apart, healr’s down, DPS is dead, and it’s just me standing between the boss and a full wipe, that’s when I feel alive. Soloing the boss when everyone else is down isn’t just about skill, it’s about stepping up when no one else can, being the hero that saves the group. It’s a feeling of power and responsibility that I don’t get anywhere else. And in those moments, people actually depend on me. They’re watching and hoping I can pull it off, and when I do, they remember that. I spend hours a week researching routes, mobs, bosses other classes and their cooldowns etc just to be knowledgeable and be able to be the best tank they could've had that day. I stay calm when mistakes are made and use them as a teaching moment for people, a gentle giant so to speak.
What’s even more amazing is how tanking has led me to build relationships with people I never would’ve met otherwise. Complete strangers from all over the world, who now trust me, rely on me, and we’ve shared victories and defeats for years. These people have become friends in ways that feel more real than most of my relationships outside the game. There’s a bond that comes from surviving tough fights together, from leading a group through chaos and coming out the other side.
In contrast to my real life, where I often feel alone and disconnected, in WoW I’m part of something bigger. I’m the guy people look up to, the one they know they can count on when it matters most. It gives me purpose and respect that I don’t really get irl. Being a tank isn’t just about playing a role in a game, it’s about finding a space where I’m valued, where I matter, and where I can build lasting connections that mean something. Some will probably say this is lame, and that is ok. To each their own, this is just what it means to me.

Crafting in TWW is confusing to a returning player
As the title suggests. I am returning after taking a break during the majority of Dragonflight. If I remember correctly, that was when they made some pretty significant crafting changes. Now that crafting has made some more changed in TWW, I find myself a bit lost.
I see things called "embellishments" which appear to just be another enchant? And everything has graded tiers from 1 (star?) to 3. I see people walling around with these crafted weapons that look insane but I have no idea how you get them 😂 there's more examples but, those come to mind right now.
If there's a good video out there that breaks things down, I'd greatly appreciate if someone could point me to that. Thanks!

Profaned Tinderboxes just hit 12,000g on EU with no sign of stopping
Something is seriously wrong with that item. Originally they came from treasure boxes in Hallowfall, which no longer appears to be the case. The only other source are gathering nodes and treasure chests in the Nightfall Sanctum delve. I used to solo farm on T1 there and was able to get about 7-10/h but my recent two farming sessions were down to about 1 per hour. There appears to have been an exploit and/or botting pattern that also got this method nerfed. That means there is currently no high yield strategy to produce an item that is needed in almost all endgame crafting.
As it is now, the only time you might be able to get them cheaply is when Nightfall Sanctum is the daily bountiful delve and the game soft-forces people to run millions of this one specific delve.

Rant: summon pls
YOU, yes you who stand in Dornogal and ask to be summoned to Siege of Boralus. What’s your thought process here? It literally takes 30 seconds to get here. Pure laziness, I immediately kick them.
If it’s a M0 with a new player I’ll gladly help you find the portal, but if you’re signing up for a +7 and can’t figure out where the portal is you’re probably not capable of doing the dungeon. Either that or you feel entitled to a summon while you’re wasting everyone’s time.

Healers, enter a follower dungeon before M+
While running follower dungeons for quick gear I noticed that the mage npc in your group will always provide you with food.
So I figured, what if I just enter a dungeon, take the cookies and leave? And yeah, no need to spend gold on buying water or hoping for a real mage in my group at all.
Although it only saves a fairly small amount of gold, I thought this is useful to know :)
