Fury AoE DPS is really that far behind other classes or am I doing something really wrong?
I have been playing with Fury Warrior since MoP and always thought about myself as a avarage player.
This week, after players getting access to basically one of their BiS trinkets and virtually all the gear upgrade they needed, I've been feeling that Fury AoE is getting way worse than before (compared to almost any other classes).
In this log, for example, I'm currently with 675 ilvl competing with a Paladin with 660 ilvl and still could not beat him throughout the key.
I know that its not a high key or anything like that, but seeing that even with 15 ilvl above him I still could not reach his DPS was very frustrating and, if you compare both parses, I still have a greater parse than him in this key.
So I ended up just frustrated and asking myself: "Am I doing something very wrong or this is the limit for the class/spec?"

My miserable 'Play Your Own Key' journey: 25 keys played (17 homework keys, 7 push keys, +15 score gained)
Hey folks,
I just wanted to share some data and experience with you that I've collected/experienced in the past week while trying to push my M+ score with playing my own key only.
**# Initial Situation**
After timing all 14s with my Havoc Demon Hunter, it was literally impossible to get invites to 15. And I can't blame anyone for this: My class simply brings nothing to the table but some super niche utility (e.g. cage skip for CB, DFC or TOP) and thus falls off in comparison to other classes which bring valuable benefits such as bloodlust, combat ress, aoe burst and whatnot. Additionally, people who run their 15s keys hesitate to invite players who didn't time at least one 15 key yet.
As a consequence, I decided to exclusively run my own keys for a week, even if I woudln't want to play them in the first place because they wouldn't give me M+ score (referred to as homework key below) ... and see how far this would bring me.
Spoiler: Not that far.
**# Preparation**
In order to be prepared as much as possible, I started the week with farming 12s to get all my gear to maximum ilvl and to get my Dinar item. As a result, my character had 679ilvl when starting my push.

**# Requirements for Invitations**
For invitations, I set the following requirements:
* DPS needed to have at least 675ilvl and all dungeons timed on the previous key level. This requirement was loosened if a specific class was needed (e.g. a Warlock for gate skip in Workshop)
* Tanks and heals needed to have at least 675ilvl and at least the respective dungeon timed on the previous key level. This requirement was loosened if only the tank/heal was missing or no tank/heal has queued for a longer period of time, provided that the key was resilient.
Additionally - due to the fact that my Havoc Demon Hunter lacks utility - I decided not to invite the following DPS classes as they also lack utility (or rather other classes provide more/better utility):
* Rogues
* Warriors
* Monks
* Priests
* Demon Hunters

**# (Early) End**
Overall, I managed to get +15 score in the course of the week. Time well spent, I would say!
My original plan was to play keys until this weeks reset, but after finishing my latest homework Workshop 14 just to get a homework Cinderbrew 15, I decided to call it quits.
In total, 17 out of 25 keys I've played were homework keys, meaning I've spent 68% of my time in dungeons I didn't want to play to begin with - and this doesn't even include time spent restarting resilient keys or time spent waiting for a tank or heal to queue up.
It was/is simply not fun.
For me, the biggest flaw of the current system is that you only have one try for your very own push key and once this try is over, the other players have no reason to stick with you - even if the run was good until it wasn't - since they (understandably) don't

I used to main rogue
But a wrist injury makes playing a 90 APM spec a no go. Also, it feels like playing mozart level to get the same performance or worse than a 40 APM evoker. WTF blizz.
Now I main BM hunter and it is night and day. The game is so much easier, I can solo far more harder content, I went from being stuck on delves to literally one shotting t11. Within one week of creation too.
Scooted right into mythic plus, and doing top dps. 2m + overall in my first keys.
I use GSE and a one button macro. I do know the rotation and the one button isnt exactly optimal, but eh, its sufficient for pretty much all content that isnt bleeding edge.
There is no way in gods heaven and earth that i will ever go back to playing a mozart spec with zero payoff that requires insane rotations so I can do less damage than some ranged guy 25 yards away who doesnt have to worry about nearly as many mechanics.
BM hunter for life. No wonder rogue representation is in the fucking gutter. I have seen the light.

Got kicked from Dungeon, want to avoid griefing
I’m a new player on one of the new player servers and I tried tanking as a paladin, but I died in a dungeon. I waited to see if I would get resurrected instead of releasing my spirit but I got kicked from the party and received a 30 minute matchmaking ban. Should I have released spirit? Is it normal to get kicked if you die or was I just that bad?

And while I think it's true that there are reasonable actions one could take to lower the frustration level when trying to push M+ score (making friends, joining a guild, playing a meta class, playing a tank playing a heal), it's also true that Blizzard could do way more to improve the system, especially trying to make push keys more accessible for PUGs, for example by increasing the resilient level of a key by +1 once the player has timed all dungeons of a key level.
This would allow PUG players to progress push keys way more comfortable and would maybe even result in players bonding more with each other - because there is hardly anything that welds people together more than mastering a common challenge.
Use this information however you want ;)

Anyone else like the class fantasy of evokers, the playstyle & spells but don’t really like the race, customization, or model?
I have enjoyed my evoker in all 3 specs. They’re enjoyable to play, the kit has a lot of utility, the spells look damn cool, and they’re typically pretty strong. I just don’t love being a lizard and I just don’t love the way my character looks. As a dragon I’m not satisfied. As a blood elf with access to hair dye, I’m also not feeling it. Does anyone share my sentiment or is being mini-Godzilla part of the vibe for you?

Why there are like 20-30 different trinkets?
Seriously.. all my characters have 1 bag full of trinkets.. everything I do it drops just another trinket.. bountiful Delve maps, Great Vault, etc etc
And all feel meh... they exist just to exist.. jut to increase the loot pool and screw your weekly rewards.. no gameplay fun added, not altering your rotation, nothing... just tons of different "trash" loot in your bags

To all the people farming 10s for crests rn thinking youre the main character just chill.
Ive been doing these since reset yesterday and the amount of people getting antsy pulling for the tank bc "muh procs bro I need to make pumpies!" then having an ego crash out fight between each other then they both leave and brick the key when it wouldve been done if they just relaxed for like 5 more mins. Youre already farming like 20, 30+ of these for crests I promise you the time saved from pulling .4 seconds before the tank was ready isn't going to free up your weekend plans.
