What’s the one moment in WoW that made you stop and just say… damn.
We’ve all had that one moment. Maybe it was your first time seeing Ironforge, the Lich King’s monologue at the Frozen Throne, or pulling off an insane clutch in an arena match. Could even be something random—like a stranger saving you from a gank and then vanishing into the sunset.
For me, it was walking through the Dark Portal for the first time in TBC. That music, the sky, the chaos… I actually stopped and just stared for a few minutes. It felt massive.
What’s your moment? No matter how big or small, I wanna hear it.

You are not forced to play streamer routes in +12-14 keys
This includes +12-15 keys starting next week with the iLvl increase.
Valid reasons for playing advanced routes:
- Big and complex pulls are more fun.
- You improve and grow as a player.
Invalid reasons for playing advanced routes:
- You want to increase your m+ score.
- You want to maximize the likelihood of key completion.
I understand that M+ is infinitely scaling. If you wanna push as high as you can go, at some point you have to do the most time-efficient route. So you might as well learn them early on.
But if your goal is 3000 score, or Resilient +14's and then quit for the season, you do not need time-efficient routes, because the timer is not tight. At 670 iLvl (soon 680 iLvl) you are overgeared for the +12-14 key range. You literally just have to survive the dungeon without wiping. Do easy pulls (within reason) and route for safety.
Big boys and title pushers might read this and chuckle, because the meta routes are not that difficult. But they fail to understand the difference top 0.1% players and top 1.0% players. Those Motherlode pulls after 1st boss where you have to interrupt Rock Lances AND dodge swirlies? It's just too much, man.
This advice is not meant only for tank players, but for DPS and healers as well. The pug life is rough and getting invites ain't easy. If you acquire a good key after hours of homework, don't let silly tanks or overqualified DPS alts use it as their playground (resil keys exist for this).
For context, I am sitting at 3341 score on Devastation Evoker and 3214 score on Windwalker/Brewmaster Monk. I don't know what it's like further up on the ladder but from my experience, more people should embrace simplicity and find joy in clean runs.

The balancing of Brann between classes is significantly different
I want to add this here as a tip for all delvers and also as a potential note to the devs. Recently I noticed that all kinds of delves feel easier on the Monk Tank than on the Druid Tank. As an info on my Monk Tank, I defeated the Underpin on ?? some time ago and wanted to do the same on the Druid Tank. I realized that the fight is significantly harder than on the Monk Tank. So I just checked the logs and this is what I got:
Brann (same for both): Max level, Magnetic Grenade, Bioprinter
Druid Tank (ilvl 664) and Monk Tank (ilvl 660)
The results are surprising in terms of balancing. During test fights against the Underpin on ??, Brann's DPS looked like this:
Brann DPS on the Monk Tank: 1512k
Brann DPS on the Druid tank: 735k
The example of the magnetic grenade shows it particularly well:
Average damage on the Monk Tank: 10.56m
Average damage on the Druid Tank: 4.16m
Although I'm in tank spec for both and Brann is exactly the same, that's well over 100% more damage for Brann on my Monk Tank. The question now is why is that? Is this a bug? Or an intentional effect? In any case, the result is that the Underpin on ?? is almost trivial as a monk tank and considerably harder as a druid tank. I think it will look similar for other classes/specs, making the delve boss almost impossible for some or at least requiring significantly more tries.
It would be nice if the devs maybe could look at this and explain to what extent this is intentional. I can hardly imagine that it makes sense that delves are much easier for some classes solely because Brann does 100%+ more damage.
The post should only be seen as information for other delvers and as a note that there are still many problems with Brann and not as a rant. I am completely fine with the difficulty, also in my opinion it should be the same for all classes with a certain specc (tank/heal/dd).
Small edit add: The damage done by the Underpin is constant between both tanks, the only difference seems to be Brann.

Random person gave me almost 20k gold for no reason...
This was definitely a first for me, I had done some mount farming runs on my druid alt (low 70s level) and as I was on my Yak mount selling junk a person opened trade with me, I closed it and went back to selling and then the trade window popped open again.
This time I waited a minute to see what would happen and suddenly they type in $19, 734 (approx) gold and hit TRADE. I wait a full minute for them to cancel or say something and they just patiently stay there so I accepted it.
I said, "Thank you." And they saluted me and disappeared before I could comprehend what happened and whisper them.
I've never had anyone just give me gold and so I'm wondering if maybe they were leaving the game for good and just picked me as I was close by? Or do some people with too much gold just enjoy giving it away?
So that was nice but also confusing hahaha though I do enjoy helping noobs out when i can so I will put it toward that.

What have been the most difficult encounters in WoW to date?
I always joke with my friend that whatever dungeon or raid we're farming for pets and mounts was probably the most difficult encounter ever. When you're clueless about the mechanics, any fight could have been hard. So apart from defense of Eonar, we've never got much of a sense of which fights would have been tricky and which were pushovers because we never raided much.
I was wondering which of these fights we breeze through every week would have presented a real challenge if we did them live. The only raids I did live were vanilla raids minus naxxramas, and they were kind of easy.

Confidence is so important in M+ it feels weird
Do you ever think that after clearing a key level, suddenly that key becomes real easy the next time you do it? Im playing a tank and I got stuck in a certain key range for awhile, breaking every key, thinking they are fucking hard and I may die at each and every trash pull. I have to take a break after every broken key
Then I timed a couple of them, then suddenly I feel unstopable although my items are all the same, the only improvement is mentally. Of course keys still break here and there but not as bad as it used to be.
I dont know if its my experience or my confidence that improves, but I really do feel the difference.
