How would you rank the difficulty of specs you've played in Midnight so far?
You can rate it based on difficulty to learn or difficulty to master, or rate it by both. This is, of course, scaled within the boundaries of midnight specs. TWW combat rogue would be like a 15/10 on this.
Unholy: 7/10. A ton of stuff to remember, but once you have it down its not so bad. ST is easy, its during m+ aoe when you have to use death and decay to time your putrefy's that the difficulty goes up a lot.
Afflock: 4/10. Easy to learn, not too hard to master. I would say the only true difficult part is sniping low-HP mobs with haunt in M+.
Demo: 4/10. A lot more stuff to deal with than afflock, but it flows nicely so its not particularly hard at all. Once you get it down, you basically play on autopilot.
Enhancement Shaman: 9/10. A lot of mini-buffs, and maelstrom is basically constantly going off. You nearly constantly have an overlap of important things to press. You gotta manage totem placement as well (assuming you're doing totemic, which most seem to be). Very hectic, very difficult to learn, and very, very difficult to master.
Survival Hunter: 2/10. Very easy, but also very, very satisfying.
Assa rogue: 3/10. Managing energy is really the only difficult thing here.
Sub rogue: ?/10. Idk what to even think about this. I know its easy. Yet for some reason I just cannot do it properly at all despite trying.
Devourer DH: 8/10. Controversial I am sure. Seems very simple and easy at first with the whole 3 button rotation, until you realize just how difficult it is to pull off successfully. The difference between a mediocre devourer DH and a good one is insane, and the difference between a good one and a really good is even more insane.

A portion of WoW Community has a really unhealthy relationship with the game and I'm tired of pretending they don't.
I know a lot of us here are very angry and very strictly opinionated. I'm not here to judge, I'm not here to shame. I'm just here to state my opinions, which I believe are largely objective. Hear me out.
In TBC (I'm old), I played WoW A LOT. Especially one summer that I can never forget. My GF had broken up with me, I had summer classes that was just like a couple of hours per week and a part time job.
I would come home after work, fire my PC and log in to WoW. We had awesome people in our guild (Crimson Moon, Ravenholdt EU, if any of you are here, this is Mharla), loved talking to them. We also did TONS of W-PvP (shout out to Parashade and Wampyra and all the horde and alliance pvp guilds), TONS of RP, it was just dream time.
I spent so much of my life in the game and I loved it. I regret NOTHING.
I'm saying all this to point that I'm not judging people for playing games a lot. I am a total nerd who, as a married guy, still spends a lot of time gaming. It's 100% okay.
Is my relation with games healthy? Honestly... probably not. And I think that's an important topic, but my focus in this one is different.
There are so many people in WoW that feel obliged to do all the things. This kind of always existed, but I think it was a transformation during WotLK because with the achievements, everything was recorded and "achievable". Idk, I won't assume I know the dynamics of such a diverse population.
This feeling of "I must raid", "I must get all the mounts", "I must get all the achivements", "I must get curve in time" etc. is really strong in some people.
Like mine, I think everyone can and should evaluate their relation with the game. If you are enjoying your time, if you're friends with your guildies etc., I guess it's good.
So if you work hard to get all the mounts, all the raids, all the things, you should definitely think about how much time you are spending and what else you could do, but also, I mean instead of enjoying 3 different things, you can enjoy 1 thing. Who am I to judge? At least not my topic today.
The next step after this is... doing all this and seemingly not enjoying it. These sort of complaints are pretty common, sometimes being voiced directly and sometimes indirectly:
I hate doing Arthas every week.
I hate doing all the dailies.
I hate doing X, Y and Z
You have to realize, you do NOT have to do these things.
You do NOT have to play the game.
"But FOMO"
Friend, I understand it and it sucks that companies are using this, but FOMO has been around forever and it's not like a CC, you can make choices.
And it's possible that you have a mental type that can't really make those choices, at least not easily. In that case, please get assistance. I don't mean this in a condescending or patronizing way, I really don't.
Genuinely, I would want anyone who plays the game (any game really) to be able to make healthy choices. I've met so many amazing people in the gaming community and especially blizz/wow circles and I genuinely want you all to be good. Even the angriest among you, who I know definitely hears this as patronizing and I guess it does come out that way, even if I don't mean it.
But you have to understand that:
1. IF you don't like something
2. BUT you continue doing it
Then it's on you. You're burning yourself out.
I'm not saying the game's perfect and everything works well if you take breaks. I'm not saying we shouldn't criticise the game, we 100% should. What I'm saying is that many of you are just frustrated because, based on your words, you force yourself to do a leisure activity that you don't enjoy and you spend so much time on this game.
This isn't healthy. It makes everything feel worse. The game feels worse, you feel worse, the community communication becomes worse...
Taking breaks is amazing. You get to play other games or do non-game things and you don't have to worry about whatever that is in the game. Achievements aren't going anywhere. Outside of

How did Blizzard land on 500 being the amount of Accolades for a random Hero piece?
To get a hero track piece of gear right now you have these options
\-Do Heroic raid, which aside from Crown and L'ura is pretty much LFR these days
\-Do a +6 key in a season where most players consider even +10s to be the most accessible they've ever been
\-Use your weekly map
\-Have Delvers Journey above 9 and open Bountiful Coffers
\-Have Delvers Journey above 9 and spend Untainted Mana Crystals on specific items you choose
OR....
Do literally 20 Tier 5 ritual sites and get a box for ONE item of ANY slot with 0 dupe protection.
Huh?

Mini-Guide to gearing a fresh 90 alt to 280 ilvl (as of 12.0.5)
I loaded up a lv. 80 Demo Warlock alt just to see how it played and it surprisingly clicked, so I decided to level it to 90 and gear it up, which was easier than expected. Some of the gearing tricks are well known, but in 12.0.5 there are a few more tricks.
Prerequisites on your main:
- Hero of the Dawn (most important!)
- Delve journey completed with a high level Valeera
- Voidcore rerolls and Nilhammer unlocked
- Enough Faction Renown to get the Champion items
Steps (which are all done 100% solo):
- Once you first get to 90, equip any Adventurer/Veteran/Champion Warbound items you may have.
- Do the 4 Weekly events to get the Champion items from the 4 factions (Head, Neck, Waist, Trinket). This also gets you max Coffer Keys and a decent amount of Veteran Crests.
- Do the 3 Nightmare Prey for 2 Champion items, Champion Crests, Hero Crests, Delve boss consumable
- Do 4 T11 Bountiful Delves (easy even at lower ilvl with a high level Valeera), using the Delve boss consumable to get the map for the Trove and use it. You will get a guaranteed Hero item from the Trove, and Champion/Hero items from the Bountiful Chests. You also get a ton of Hero Crests and Ascendant Shards.
- If you get a Champion/Hero in all tier slots, Catalyze them to get the 4pc set and unlock Catalyst charge drops.
- The next day, do the remaining 4 T11 Bountiful Delves (with the +2 purchased Keys from the vendor). After you complete 2 (6 for the week), you will be capped on Untainted-Mana Crystals but have enough to buy a Hero item for the vendor for any slot you want, if RNG cooporates, so keep an eye out. You can spam T11 Collegate Calamity if you want to target something.
- The Dungeon Vendor [was just hotfixed](https://www.wowhead.com/news/buy-champion-gear-with-voidlight-marl-using-mythic-cache-381688) to give random Champion gear for the low price of 750 Marl, which may be worth YOLOing to get any missing Champion slots.
- You should have a ton of Hero crests by now. If you did not get any Hero Weapons, craft a 5* weapon using the Hero Crests and use an Ascendant Voidcore on it (now, you will **NEVER** want to use Myth Crests for crafting during the low-gear phase). You may want to consider also Hero Crafting a Ring as it's both cheap and harder to get a Hero version.
- You should save Hero Crests for Hero _trinkets_ (you may get a few from Delves) to upgrade them using Ascendant Voidcores for ilvl. Even Delve trinkets are more compelling when fully upgraded, with the exception of Sealed Chaos Urn because lol.
Overall this will get you to about 250-255 ilvl without ever grouping. After that:
- Full-send your Veteran/Champion Crests as there are no other good sources for them. Because Champion/Hero of the Dawn halves crests costs, you likely have enough to get close to obsoleting both. This will get you around 255-260.
- Do Normal Voidspire/Dreamrift, which should be easy to get accepted into a PuG at that ilvl. Incidentially the gear isn't as useful anymore, but the Champion Crest income and Ascendant Shards are useful. It's also an excuse to practice your new alt.
- Full-send your remaining Champion Crests and likely Hero Crests as there are no other good sources for them. Note that you should ALWAYS upgrade Champion gear to 6/6 before using Hero Crests. This will likely get you around 265-270.
- At this point it's time for M+, which may be a bit difficult to get into at that ilvl without any rating if you are not a tank/healer. As a Demo Warlock I did a +7-9s in each dungeon to build rating and also get a decent amount of Hero Crests to further upgrade the Hero gear / craft in slots I could not get Hero Gear. Also another excuse to practice your new alt.
- One you are at a good ilvl/rating and can get into +10s consistently, do them to target farm a specific dungeon for Myth bonus rerolls. With the 10 Voidcores as of this post, you can fully exhaust the loot table of a dungeon (other than Seat) and get a few more from another dungeon. Plan gearing accordingly and minimize
The light was never a force of good, but of faith.
I see many people saying how the lore in midnight is trash, how they distorted the light, but i disagree.
The light was never a force of good. We saw it in warcraft 3 when arthas still managed to use the light even after killing lots of innocents in stratholme.
The light follows faith, it's always been that way. The " paladins blinded by the light" we see in midnight, like in the raid? It's just the typical zealot, like the scarlet crusade.
We never focused in the scarlet crusade so much to notice them turning into crazy zealots, but in midnight, we live with them, we interact with them, so we see it happening first hand. Lothraxion already looked like a zealot in legion, but his focus was in the burning legion.
No matter how evil someone is, the light help anyone with enough faith. That's why anduin didn't use the light for some time, because he lost faith after what he did in shadowlands

like, live story events and such (like wrathgate), nothing has a concrete effect.
And again, if you are enjoying the game, that's great. I do too. But it is impossible for any activity to be completely enjoyable when you do it every day for weeks, months and even years. Well maybe with a guild, but then the fun is in the social aspect. Just the game itself? Just not gonna happen, so don't frustrate yourself with some unrealistic expectations and let yourself take breaks and free yourself from FOMO. If you are angy at blizzard, this is also like a "pay with your wallet Deluxe" edition, because you don't give them your money OR your attention.
Anyway, I'm not native and this is a complex subject so I'm probably getting downvoted. But y'all need to take WoW less seriously and stop pushing yourself IF you aren't enjoying it. It's not healthy to expect the game to be meaningfully fulfilling of so much of your time. It's just not gonna happen and this unrealistic expectation isn't fair to devs. You can step out and if you can't, you should probably get some professional assistance.
My genuine best wishes for all of ya.

overlaps between the dungeons. Ideally one of the dungeons has a weapon which you can use another Ascendant Voidcore, and the upgraded Hero weapon from earlier minimizes the needed Myth Crests.
- After you have exhausted all Bonus rolls (and upgraded them with the earned crests from the +10s) you will likely be at 280.
Void Strikes and Ritual Sites seem not worth it for gearing unless you need Champion/Hero Crests in a pinch, as the 500 Field Accolades for a random Hero is too much.

Voidcore’s have saved the game for me.
Every season I play with the same 5 people on m+ only and our normal cadence is get full hero gear upgrade it, chase a few mythic vaults that suck, then take a break and wait for next season. This is first time we have ever felt excited to play past that break point and actually push keys. We even decided to play some alts because at this point we can roll 10 more cores and plan out exactly what we need.
TLDR: I don’t know if I can go back to a wow without these?!?! I’m curious if they will do something similar from now on or not.
