What POSITIVE impact has WoW had on your life?
When I was 25, I became an alcoholic & quickly moved on to crack-cocaine. I made several attempts at getting sober but kept relapsing. After a major relapse that ended with a criminal charge in 2007, I found out Warcraft was now World of Warcraft and an MMORG. I grew up playing Warcraft and Warcraft II so I figured I'd try it out. I've been clean and in recovery since; 37 years.
Edit: 18 years. I can't math apparently.

Wow finally clicked.
I've always struggled with WoW. After a while, the game frustrates me to an unattainable point.
Either I get into the endgame, and find the systems far too complicated and frustrating for someone who doesn't play on a regular basis (not touching the game for weeks, and only playing WoW over several days).
Or I try to get the loremaster with my max level, but after a while it gets boring to one-shot everyone.
And then... There are two things about this patch. Firstly, I find the end of the game much clearer in my single-player progression and I'm not too bothered by the time limits.
Every time I play, my character makes significant progress and that's pretty cool.
And then the other reasons, the other techniques I've applied that have changed my life... It's the fact of having two characters. It's very obvious. But before I wanted to continue my loremaster, I had to waste 20 minutes going to the old world if I was in the current patch. So I'd often do one activity or the other.
And now I can finally do what I want, without any friction. I have a character for the ‘end game’ or as I like to call it, a character in the present. And another character for the loremaster (one in the past). For once since I started (beginning of Dragonflight), I'm really getting involved in the endgames, I'm following the story (which is pretty cool for this patch).
It took me a while to find my rhythm, but I'm there. And contrary to what the youtubers might say, I don't think Blizzard is pulling our leg at all in terms of content. I find the new delves much more fun. The raids (which I do in LFR) are a lot more fun. The outdoor activities aren't headaches. And I'm really impressed with Undermine, which is just a patch zone and is artistically stunning and full of easter eggs. For €13/month, I really feel I'm getting value for money.
What's also changed... is that I'm no longer too interested in what's going on in the game in terms of seasonality. I didn't play too much at the start of the year. I don't really know what's going to happen over the next few months... But that's fine. I don't have any FOMO at all. And I find that, more than in Dragonflight, WoW lets me be independent of the seasons! All I know is that the more time passes, the more content I'll have to get through (I'm an ATT lover).
I play a lot of games. But more and more I'm realising that WoW is so unique that I'm on the verge of becoming a fanboy.
So, anyway... I like retail WoW.

The mana food you buy (for example from Dornogal innkeeper) regenerates your mana faster than mage food. Quite important for m+
I keep meeting people who aren't aware of that, so I thought I'd make this post if it helps somebody

Was with the same person in 3 LFR wings, he won 6 items from 7 bosses, 3 of which from the same boss, while i got 0 items from all 4 LFR wings on the character i was on. Can we please bring back personal loot for LFR atleast and get rid of this nonsense?

When you clear a tier 11 delve you should get a portal.
This would be really cool for solo players and people in general and give doing each delve on t11 a purpose. Anybody else think this would be a cool thing for the wow devs to implement?

Protip for Priory of the Sacred Flame: You have infinite time for Baron Braunpyke soaks
Title. The last +12 I need to time and SO MANY GROUPS just instantly pop all of the soak charges on this boss. You have so much time. You have 30 seconds from cast to get all 3/5. Hell, when there's only 3 charges one person can literally solo it and let the DOT drop in between each soak. Wait for the shields to go off. Wait for the hammers to expire. Check your group's HP and don't take one if someone is <50%.
This boss has been 2-4 deaths minimum in every 12 of it I've attempted, so apparently this is something people don't know. Don't rush the soaks, literally 99% of problems people are having with this boss is from soaking too fast, overlapping damage with shields and killing people, or just 3-4 people going in at once and 1 shotting everyone. Just relax, you have plenty of time.

18.38% of accounts own the AH-Store mount which has earned Blizzard USD $19.6 million
#of collected in-game store AH mounts
After checking the numbers out of curiosity today, I found that 18.38% of all accounts have obtained the In-Game Shop AH mount according to https://www.dataforazeroth.com/collections/mounts (picture)
There are 1.187.832 wow accounts (active I assume) according to same source https://www.dataforazeroth.com/stats/summary
This means, assuming that everyone purchased it outright rather than converting gold to blizzard store balance, that the $90 price tag of this single mount will have earned them aprox. $19.649 million ((1187832×0.1838)*90)
Comparitively an active sub from the same amount of accounts will generate between $185-213 million yearly depending on the billing option selected (yearly versus monthly)
I thought some of you might also find this interesting :)

Operation: Floodgate made me actually look forward to future dungeon designs
To be honest I thought that after playing WoW for 16 years, I have seen it all. I almost exclusively play M+ and almost everytime new Dungeons come around they somewhat feel the same. And when they try something new it ends in bugged dungeons. (Looking at you Dawnbreaker)
But Floodgate is just so much fun to play. Its challenging, it offers so much freedom for routes and I just love the concept of the architect.
Taking the glider through the dungeon feels so cool and yet its completely optional.
I think they hit the perfect sweetspot between freedom what to play and being overwhelmed by mob groups.
IDK it just made me look forward to future dungeon design. Pleas give me more of those.

I think the Alliance questline in Redridge is bugged.
So I've been slowly leveling my dwarf warrior and I finally got to Redridge Mountains. I helped some captain or whatever infiltrate a few gnoll camps (and by "infiltrate" I mean kill all the gnolls in the camps) and secure valuable intel on their movements. It seems pointless to know their movements when they're all dead, but hey, I'm not military, so I may be lacking some essential knowledge on how these things work.
Anyway, the captain sent me to Lakeshire with a report. I got to the town hall and here's where the buggy part starts. There's a queue of petitioners who want to speak to Magistrate Solomon and I've been waiting in line for like 2 hours and 40 minutes already. The line is barely moving. People are becoming more and more antsy. What gives?
I feel like some scripted event is supposed to take place but maybe I'm somehow in the wrong instance? I tried to leave, do some fishing in the lake and return after 20 minutes (I told the guy in front of me to hold my spot) and I don't think I moved any closer to Solomon. Should I just keep waiting?
EDIT: Oh, also, there's a guy who's been dying under a huge boulder for hours just outside and no one seems to care?
