YSK: It is best not to consume marijuana before the age of 25
Why YSK: According to research data, use(both light and heavy) of marijuana before the age of 25 will result in the thinning of grey matter in the developing brain, sabotage problem solving skills and emotional regulation, and increase the probability of developing depression and schizophrenia later in life. It is best to wait until you are 25 and older if you are considering using cannabis.

LPT: If you are going on a trip that likely will require a lot of walking train yourself to walk a long distances before the trip
I noticed that whenever I took a long walk (after staying indoors for too long) and was coming home limping, the next days I could cover the much longer distances without any discomfort later on.
Of course, going back home limping after your trip is not your aim. Your aim is to train yourself to walk longer without being exhausted and hurt at the end, but feel fresh and relaxed instead. That's why you should start preparing yourself to walk before the trip. The best time to start is a two weeks before the trip, but a month should work as well. Keep in mind that you shouldn't cover a distance that is too long on a very first day. Instead start with a lesser distance and increase the distance walked in half - see what's working the best for you. If you feel exhausted early on try to take a day or two break.
It is even better if you will train yourself in the same shoes that you are going to a trip and any additional gear that you are going to have (in case you have it at your hand).

YSK- You as a parent are completely capable or safely and effectively treating your child's fever and pain with tylenol and ibuprofen
Why YSK: I don't mean for this to sound mean but too often parents bring their kids into the overwhelmed emergency room for cold and flu symptoms. I'm not going to get into ER proper use and abuse and you are always welcome to bring your child in, but just know most of the time we aren't going to do any special treatments that you cant do yourself (unless they need breathing treatments or deep suction)
I know high fevers and giving meds to kiddos can be scary and intimidating, but you are completely capable of treating your child There are weight and age based dosages easily accessible online (i'll provide links) or by just reading the back of the medication bottles. Tylenol can be given every 4 hours and ibuprofen (motrin) every 6. So let's say little Bobby has a fever. Give him ibuprofen. Three hours later check his temp and if he's still fussy and feverish give him tylenol. Three hours later give him ibuprofen. Keep alternating these meds until he feels better. It's not a one and done thing. These also apply to adults and not just for fever but pain too! I'm not shaming anyone I just get tired of seeing miserable kiddos who could easily be feeling better with some cheap over the counter interventions.

Getting pet hair off clothes before wash
There’s nothing more annoying than having your clothes, blankets, towels, etc. covered in pet hair. And then when you go to wash them, the hair is still all over the laundry and ends up clogging the washing machine. To prevent this, before washing pet hair covered laundry, put in the dryer for 30 mins on low/ no heat. All of the pet hair will end up in the lint trap and your clothes will be hair free before you put them in the wash!

LPT add thermal mass to your refrigerator to save on energy costs
After getting called out by a couple house guests I thought i'd offer this tip to folks headed into winter where in some regions energy reduction is mandated and not everyone has access to energy star/similar low cost appliances to keep food cold efficiently.
Your refrigerator can use a ton of energy depending on how you use it, where more door openings results in more work for the fridge to do, and more energy consumed to achieve its temp set point.
If you keep a somewhat empty fridge like I do, only food for a weeks cooking + condiments, you should consider adding thermal mass in the form of water to the typically empty space in your fridge.
I drink a lot of cold brew in the summer, and over the years have accumulated many half gallon jars as a result. Filling these jars with water (resistant to temp change) and letting them live rent free in the fridge means that less of the void space is filling with fresh air \~68 degrees every time I open the door.
If you can safely store water in your fridge via containers/jars/bottles you can ensure a lower energy consumption in this way. While the gains are not astronomical, they are in line with some estimates for Europe for example where a reduction in energy usage per household only need drop 10-20% depending on impacts from Russia's war in Ukraine.
Edit1: Lots of good comments and questions so we should clarify some things! I can't seem to link users but there are a lot of good comments in here floating to the top.
Cooling warm/room temp water takes a lot of energy, it's important to store already cool water, whether from your well or sewer \~55 or 65F, or take advantage of naturally cold and free air outside. Adding a bunch of water to the fridge all at once will also push the fridge to work hard and consume a lot of energy.
Energy costs are likely to continue increasing, so you could reason that costs now to cool water for stowage will be less than the energy to cool without it in the future, but I don't want to crunch those numbers. Just avoid putting warm water in the fridge.
Also folks are right to call out the power outage case, where a fridge full of water, or freezer of ice, will stay cooler for longer. With energy costs going up, and nations like Germany mentioning possible grid blackouts it makes more sense to do this.
