My Methods for Beating Insomnia
Once you get in a comfortable position don’t move. If you have an itch try to ignore it and does go away. Then either try and clear your mind my focusing in a certain direction. The blackness will start to change to images and then you know your mind is about to enter sleep.
If that doesn’t work think of a story or make one up. I think of situations where it’s the end of the world and I am safe in my own place that no one can get into.
You can also think of an animal for each letter in the alphabet. I actually try to think of a bird, a mammal, reptile, and fish for every letter.
This most important thing is do not move. Even if you have anxiety it tricks your mind into thinking it is safe to put you to sleep. Also, sometimes you don’t think you’re sleeping when you really are. That is why it is important to never look at the time. Some nights I thought I only got a few hours of sleep but since I had no proof I would often feel good the next day

Why YSK: catching wasp queens prevent new colonies from forming.
As the weather starts to warm up after Winter, most species of wasps have queens that emerge from hibernation to start building their new colony. This is the time when they are most vulnerable as they are looking for spots to build a nest and start feeding the young.
In order to be most effective, you need to identify which wasp species are most common in your area as they have different bait preferences. This is a common issue overlooked when folks say their traps don’t work.
Most people will set traps in late Summer when colonies are most active. This approach will catch many wasps but catching hundreds while colonies have thousands in number is a bit of an uphill battle.

Just throwing this out there ever since I have switched to a square case for my iPhone, I have dropped it dozens of times over the past couple years and never cracked it. Not an otter box, not a thick padded case. A regular $7 square case from Amazon. Changed my life as I, a klutz, can’t keep anything in my hands without dropping it.

LPT: when traveling, it can be cheaper to get the fancy hotel instead
I traveled recently, and got a fancy hotel for once at a huge discount, (In the USA.) They provide a shuttle service for free at any time within 3 miles, which would be less than rideshares/taxis/renting a car. They have free breakfast (like a lot of hotels, but the food is better.) They provide free toothbrushes, water bottles, and other amenities. They also can sometimes provide discounts for other local attractions. Upgrading for like a hundred dollars (USD) a night is cheaper than paying for all of those other things.
EDIT: As some people mentioned below, a good mid-tier hotel is more what I'm talking about and has more for free. I'm broke so I thought a mid-tier hotel was fancy 🤷♀️😭

YSK the difference between Dandruff and Dry Scalp
Often times, people tend to confuse dry scalp for dandruff and start using dandruff products without no improvement.
Why YSK? Without getting too much into details, dandruff happens with oily scalp while dry scalp, we'll, as the name suggests, is dry scalp - totally opposite end of the spectrum. So, dandruff products are designed to take away moisture from the scalp (which the causing bacteria breeds on) but that would only aggravate dry scalp.
So, how to tell the difference? If it's white, dry and flaky without fowl smell, it's likely dry scalp. Dandruff usually is yellow or has yellowish tint, is not dry and might have some fowl smell.
Knowing what you're dealing with is key. Consult a professional if unsure.

LPT: to retain your sanity at work, just let things fail and overrun.
I'm not certain how accurate the figure is but Malcolm Gladwell has said anywhere up to 80% of decisions made in companies are wrong. And yet many of them still exist. It is through hard-won experience I can confidently claim that the people who heap pressure onto you to get things done, competently and quickly will just shrug and carry on with their day when you fail to meet that deadline. There's a lot more tolerance for failure than managers will ever admit and the more comfortable you can be with failure the less your personal life and mental health will suffer.
There is of course a limit, and in countries where workers have fewer rights there will be less scope for this. You probably can't get away with failing at everything. But I guarantee that most of the time hard, diligent work is rewarded with..more work and the people making all the noise about 'hustle' are looking to profit from your efforts.
