Over the past few days, we've been having an interesting conversation on Peace and Human Rights with various Guest Speakers + Rotarians as well as Human Rights Experts from all over the globe.
We had Charlie Allen, from Rotary Australia, who is the Director of Partnerships at Institute for Economics and Peace, and on the Panel Discussion we had with him, he mentioned a couple of opportunities as the call to action for the the Peace Consultation Participants. These included:-
1. IEP Ambassador Program – this is now open for applications. Participation is free and participants received a certificate of completion once concluding the program. It also links the participants with a global network of over 2000 IEP Ambassador Alumni in 106 countries. The program leads the participant through activating Positive Peace within their communities. Applications close on 30 September.

2. Positive Peace online academy – this is another free opportunity to learn more about Positive Peace through an online training program. Over 10,000 people have taken this course globally.

We believe that these opportunities are better shared with everyone in Rotaract as we all have a contribution for the Peace Building in our Country as well as our communities.

The International Day of Peace (or World Peace Day) is celebrated annually on September 21. Thus Rotaract Ethiopia has been organizing empowerment sessions to commemorate peace for the past two days. Our three-day empowerment session will come to an end tomorrow. Therefore the country team invites all Rotaractors to meet our participants and say goodbye.
