…except that the US backed a coup in Kiev WHILE Russia was in the G8, and then kicked them out after Crimea voted to return to Russia.

BREAKING: [UPDATE] Officials have confirmed that there are no survivors after a regional American Airlines flight collided with a military helicopter, and crashed into the Potomac River near Reagan National Airport.

The plane was split in two and is immersed in about seven feet of water, as DC Police and Fire Dept. divers searched the river.

The PSA Airlines Bombardier CRJ700 was carrying 60 passengers and four crew members, and the Sikorsky H-60 Black Hawk was carrying three military members.

The Ukraine Defense Contact Group, which is essentially ‘NATO and Friends,’ convened at Ramstein Air Base on Thursday for its final meeting before Trump returns to the White House.

Zelensky used his speech to call for NATO to deploy troops to Ukraine, claiming it would “force Russia to peace,” when he and everyone else knows it would only serve to bring us to World War 3.

Glenn Diesen, a geopolitical analyst and professor at the University of South-Eastern Norway, noted that while Trump’s talk of wanting to pursue peace in Ukraine is a step forward, he’s in for a wake-up call if he expects Russia to accept a deal that doesn’t address Putin’s long list of security concerns for the region.

The real irony of Trump repeatedly claiming he's going to lure "1.9 million Palestinians" into brand new houses the US builds for them outside of the Gaza Strip, is that it's not even remotely believable.

Homelessness in the US hit a record high in 2024 because the US Government couldn't care less about providing assistance to or housing for its own citizens.

There is not a single Palestinian who believes—after surviving 16 months of genocide carried out by Israel and funded and supported by the US—that the US really actually does care about the people they've been sending 2,000-lb. bombs to obliterate.

Especially when the current president is Trump, the guy who lifted restrictions on the one shipment of those bombs that Biden wouldn't send... and then began to pressure the approval of more than $7 BILLION in weapons shipments to Israel, after he welcomed Netanyahu to DC

Not only do Trump's repeated claims that the US is going to "buy Gaza" and that the Palestinians will have no right to return to their land after the US magically lures them away from it, make him some ignorant, but it's also a reminder that he is once again parroting talking points from his son-in-law.

Jared Kushner said during an interview in March 2024 that the Gaza strip contained "waterfront property" that had "very valuable" potential, if only Israel were to remove civilians while it "cleans up" the strip

The preliminary FAA report revealed that at the time of the crash between a passenger jet and an Army helicopter that killed all 67 people involved, staffing at the air traffic control tower at Reagan National Airport was "not normal."

The New York Times cited an internal FAA report, which suggested that "the controller on duty the night of the accident was doing a job usually handled by two people."

National Transportation Safety Board officials say the flight data recorders from both the plane and military helicopter have not yet been recovered, with NTSB Chair Jennifer Homendy saying during a news conference earlier:

"We know they're there, they are underwater. This is not unusual for the NTSB. We have many times recovered flight data recorders in water."

If there's anything we've learned from the last 48 hours, it's that the U.S. is NOT ready for a technology war with China... as the release of DeepSeek AI by a Chinese startup sent U.S. tech stocks reeling, with NVIDIA losing $600 BILLION in a single day as investors reacted.

Trump called the Chinese open-source AI platform, which was created for a fraction of the cost of what OpenAI, Google and Meta are spending, "a wakeup call," as the U.S. is far from being able to compete.

Trump is now accusing Putin of “destroying Russia,” claiming that the war in Ukraine has sparked inflation in the country and that “one million Russian soldiers” have been killed in NATO’s proxy war. The only problem is that Trump’s comments sound like they are straight out of Zelensky’s mouth.

International Relations and Security Analyst Mark Sleboda noted that in reality, Ukraine is the country that is being destroyed by the war their NATO backers are forcing them to fight, and it’s Ukrainian forces who are facing dire conditions, as Russians forces advance around the key Donbass town of Pokrovsk.

BREAKING: Israel and Hamas have agreed to a deal that will include a ceasefire and hostage release

Reports say it includes a 6-week ceasefire over which 33 Israeli hostages will be released. Israel will release 30-50 Palestinians for every hostage released by Hamas

It's also being reported that the agreement includes 600 trucks of humanitarian aid entering Gaza daily, and that as many as 1,650 Palestinians could be released from Israeli detention. A reminder that Israel has taken thousands of hostages of their own...

Trump posted on Truth Social: "WE HAVE A DEAL FOR THE HOSTAGES IN THE MIDDLE EAST. THEY WILL BE RELEASED SHORTLY."

The deal may have been made under the Biden Admin, but Trump and the special envoy he sent to chat with Netanyahu will be taking full credit for getting it done.

Israel has killed at least 74 Palestinian children in the Gaza Strip in the first week of 2025, according to a new report from UNICEF, which noted that Israel has carried out several mass-casualty attacks at night in areas that include unilaterally designated “safe zones.”

But of course, U.S. officials aren’t issuing any kind of condemnation. Instead, Biden is using his final days in office to sign off on another $8 BILLION in weapons for Israel, and Trump is doubling down and threatening the Palestinians that “all Hell will break out” if Hamas doesn’t release the remaining hostages before Jan. 20th.

I’m not sure if Trump has seen any footage from Gaza lately, but Israel is already doing everything in its power to turn the world’s largest open-air prison into Hell on Earth, and the U.S. is enabling it every step of the way.

Trump is less than two weeks away from returning to the White House, and instead of focusing on ways he can serve the American people, he seems to be more focused on U.S. expansion. During a press conference on Tuesday, he said he wouldn’t rule out using military force to seize the Panama Canal or Greenland, as he also shared a map on social media that labeled Canada as part of the U.S.

Joe Lauria, Journalist and Editor-in-Chief of Consortium News, noted that Trump’s imperialist rhetoric represents Washington’s foreign policy at its core, and is nothing new for the U.S. and its long history of forced expansion.
