You don't need that data folder because the blockchain from v3 is not compatible with v4 wallet. All you need is to backup the wallet.dat file before deleting the Reddcoin data folder.

i wanted to change that location and put it on another drive. because i do not have enough space in the supposed default appdata section

Upgrading to a major version is a bit difficult because the blockchains are not compatible. Usually from the wallet you can upgrade only the software, you can't change the reddcoin data folder

After you synchronize the wallet with the network, you must unlock the wallet for staking only from the top menu, then on the bottom right you must click on the staking icon and start staking. You can. Just move the wallet.dat file in the "wallets" folder and restart the wallet. You will see the coins in the wallet.

yeah its just the part of seed phrase which is a bit tricky. I had the seed phrase from v1.0 but afterwards i had only been saving .dat file

yes i identified the second chain where i was stuck on my v3.0 but when i tried to rectify it wasnt able to connect to active block afterwards. so i downloaded the latest wallet just now

after that when you install the wallet it will ask you the location of the data folder. Don't choose default path, choose custom and add the location

In the data folder is wallet.dat file. So first copy wallet.dat on another folder and on a removable drive to make sure you don't lose the coins
