I would also note the same attitude in numerous projects, including but definitely not limited to our sister project Potcoin. They have also decided to do a bit of re-inventing and we'll be co-promoting with them as communities and projects, and perhaps gaining some higher profile mentions for free than we might be able to otherwise. That being said, getting Wrapped ReddCoin (WRDD) itself rolling will take a few thousand USD. Not much, but required. we'll be publishing plans and asking community members to support if it's the consensus that those plans will benefit the future direction and accessibility/availability of RDD itself. We will need some help to get those sorts of efforts funded from the ReddHead community. Something to think about.

No need, it’s been upgraded with far faster sync tech. Bootstrap shouldn’t be necessary and would take almost as long to process as direct download. If you do need for tech reasons, it’s avail on download.ReddCoin.com but again, should be unnecessary.

It will, for sure, as long as we have a reliable mechanism to establish and maintain a pegged value of 1 RDD equals 1 WRDD. And a secure bridge to enable that back and forth on any chain the WRDD token exists on, to our native RDD chain.
My vision as of right now and subject to dicussion and evolution is that no WRDD is created without being reliably and automatically backed by 1 RDD held somewhere. The value proposition behind RDD as a usable currency, and WRDD as a usable utility token (to allow access, voting rights and other engagement in a DAO structure, for example) should provide some real utility-based value to drive demand for actual RDD to enter the ecosystem and use the Redd solutions to tip and pay others, or share in staking rewards, or earn by sharing others' content. And likely much i haven't imagined or set out on paper yet. Seems somewhat open-ended. I'll be publishing about all of that as a guide, and again, open to community discussion and funding.

Oh, I've never been far away, but for some time (since July) we were working on an investor deal that would have solved a lot of problems...after much wasted time and talk, that seems to have dissolved. Work has continued at a slow pace in the background as @CryptoGnasher and the team kept the pot boiling, we have a brand new explorer, more wallet features that have been tested a bit more over the interval, and some exciting plans from the WRDD token we'd discussed and then paused, in favor of nailing down that investor situation. And I personally have been a bit overstretched and distant since that most recent disappointment and some personal challenges. However... No more. If the newly elected US administration is going to embrace crypto and not seek to criminalize all the things we do, then one of the largest issues we've ALL faced has ceased to be one, at least in a somewhat America-centric view...so we face an opportunity of tremendous proportions, and timing that seems propitious, if not actually ordained.
So, yep...nice to see you too. :)
