Do you think it's possible to make money these days with web development?
https://www.reddit.com/r/programming/comments/1ikei4e/do_you_think_its_possible_to_make_money_these/
<!-- SC_OFF -->With so many people learning web development, and now there are several no-code alternatives for creating websites and web pages, how much demand can there be for a web developer? For me, it would be helpful to master React well (and ideally make money with that and other web technologies I might need) with the idea that it would then be easier for me to learn how to create apps with React Native, which is something I also want to learn. In my case, what I would like is to freelance or monetize my own projects, and I'm from Cuba, earning around $300-$400 a month would be relatively good. What advice would you give me? I feel a bit lost right now. <!-- SC_ON --> submitted by /u/hkz-01 (https://www.reddit.com/user/hkz-01)

Learning full stack development from scratch
https://www.reddit.com/r/programming/comments/1ijqw6p/learning_full_stack_development_from_scratch/
<!-- SC_OFF -->Hi, I have previous background in mathematics & statistics which gave me insights into coding in R, SQl, matlab but it’s been a while (almost 5 years) since I have written a code. I was thinking of attending a bootcamp in India to learn full stack development and especially learn python. Since, there are a lot of online courses on YouTube, I do not have the discipline to learn alone and build a routine around online learning. I prefer to learn along side a group of people that challenge me to be better and correct me when I m wrong instead of spending hours to figure out by myself. So, here’s my dilemma. I was thinking to attend Code for India which offers a full stack development course over a period of 6 months and promises great result. The other option is Masai school which seems more to do with institutional education rather than more hands on education offered by Code for India. The only issue is I don’t know much about Hyderabad and don’t know how I’d settle in Hyderabad for 6 months and hence my dilemma for something familiar with Bangalore. Apart from this, I’d welcome any critique on whether any of these programs are good enough. Do they really help you find placement after? And experiences/ options on the above bootcamps/ programming courses & helpful advice are welcomed. <!-- SC_ON --> submitted by /u/jeffamazon11 (https://www.reddit.com/user/jeffamazon11)
