Which email client you guys are using for signing up private torrent trackers?
Just wondering which email client is good overall for signing up private trackers since a lot of them suggest not to use gmail for signing up.

Good bye Seven-Gamers. Thanks for all the fun.
Just want to take a moment to thank the legend (legends?) behind seven-gamers.com. The web-site was shut down today because of lack of funding. It had one of the best curation, download method (Google Drive) and constantly updated games, patches etc. It's a sad day.

what can i do with an old ps4?
i want to help my parents cut all streaming services. wondering if anyone here has converted their console into some kind of piracy box. this way, i can just have the hdmi hooked up.
noob question prob, but this isn't something chat gpt is gonna help me with (without much coercion anyway.)
EDIT:
forgot to mention one of the reasons i like the idea of keeping this thing is because it plays bluerays/dvds.

I have to pirate content from Disney+, Netflix and Prime Video.
This is absolutely absurd, but the title pretty much says it.
I'm paying for both disney+, netflix and prime video.
On my Smart TV I'm getting full 4K content with dolby 5.1 sound to my amp. But on my PC, I'm barely getting 720p on either platform. I tried watching Avatar 2. It was unwatchable...
On top of this, I tried downloading the D+ app on the microsoft store, but it simply won't download.
I have a chromecast, but for some reason Google can't make a unit that displays 24fps content on a 60hz screen without jaggy framerate (yes I've read all the forum posts and tried all the settings, even the ones in dev mode).
This is simply absurd. I'm sure this has been posted by others, but it's absolutely absurd that it's 2024 and companies can't make products for people that have Win 10 HTPCs. It's like they want us to be re*arded.

user feedback as we would like.
- Torrents now require a mandatory processing time so the torrent can be uploaded to GoFile's servers to be available to use. This process is not perfect, and is subject to GoFile's servers being completely stable, which may not be the case at all times, especially for large files. We are working with GoFile for a better and more reliable solution.
Thanks to all my helpful Discord members who have want to see TorBox succeed and grow. Also a huge thanks for all of those you who have supported TorBox by upgrading to a paid plan, because TorBox wouldn't be here without your contribution. If you have any suggestions for TorBox, check out our FeatureBase and vote on features you would like to see, or suggest your own. We are always looking for ways to improve TorBox, and your feedback is always appreciated. Thanks for reading, and happy holidays!
PS: We also still have discounts running until the new year, which you can take advantage of!

Stremio on TV
I happen to be one of those people who got into piracy after purchasing a whole bunch of piracy unfriendly hardware, and can’t currently afford to replace it. I’ve got a Roku stick, and an Apple phone but not all hope is lost; I own a windows PC (I know Linux would be better, listen man. I’m working with what I’ve got lol)
But now comes the issue. I don’t have an HDMI cord that will reach across the room from my PC to the TV; and casting to TV causes a whole bunch of other issues.
So here comes my two solutions: converting the oled Nintendo switch that I never use into an HTPC or setting up remote HTTPS connections.
And subsequently my two curiosities: does anyone have experience converting a switch into an HTPC, and if so; is it worth doing? And do I need a VPN protecting the HTTPS endpoint or is having one on the source enough? The second option certainly seems easier if I don’t have to set up a VPN for this stupid Roku stick lol

Streaming costs are out of control
Here’s the cost of all the streaming platforms (ad free):
Prime video: $18
HBO Max: $16
Hulu & Disney+: $20
Netflix: $15.50
Apple TV: $10
Peacock: $12
Paramount+ w/ Showtime: $12
Starz: $9
Total: $112.50 per month, $1,350 PER YEAR
I set up a Plex server this weekend. Cost: old 4TB internal drive. Obviously computer need to be on if you want to watch. Considering dropping $500 on a dedicated server with more storage that can run 24/7. Can also get Plex Pass for $5 a month so I can watch on my phone.
It’s a new world and I’m never going back! I get access to all this content for free. I expected the UI to be clunky but it’s better than most on the list above. I’m never going back. I also get to find obscure content. My wife get Little House on the Prairie this morning and it made her day. And I can share access with friends and family so they save as well.
This is the way. Many thanks to this wonderful community 🫡

Movie-web.app is everything I ever wanted in a streaming site.
Disclaimer: I am not affiliated with this website at all. It's someone's small project, they have a Github page.
I'm being honest when I say movie-web.app is one of the top high seas streaming sites going into 2024. I've recently been seeing 4K sources for some movies, and no buffering. Everything about it...just works.
It's rare that I notice buffering and sources going down. I sometimes have to manually refresh to get it working. The site sometimes can't play anything, but extremely rarely.
Even with some flaws it floors all the other streaming websites that have been popular for the last decade. The modern UI and player, ad/malware free and the sources have quality bitrate. Not many pixelated or blocky videos.
There's always tradeoffs with streaming but in my mind the convenience of this being essentially an all in one Netflix beats other methods when I dont know what I want to watch. Binging shows is great, but the movies are the best part.
The thing about torrents is thst you have to know what you want and depending on seeds/etc. you have to wait a bit. I love that movie-web is ready any time. Works on consoles and phones too.

Can someone in Germany be fined for downloading copyrighted material from Telegram chat?
If someone in Germany gets let's say, a movie sent to them by another user in a private Telegram chat (not a channel or group), can they get fined? I know torrenting or downloading from browser can definitely get you fined but what about Telegram?

TorBox.app - GoFile, Mobile App, Integrations, Oh My! | An Update
Hey r/piracy, my name is Wamy, and a couple months ago I released TorBox.app, the safe, secure, fast and private cloud torrenting service or torrent debrid. Since then, we have been working hard to improve the service and add new features. A couple weeks ago we released the v3.0 update which added a ton of new features, fixes and improvements. We have been polishing this update for a couple weeks now, and we are finally ready to introduce it to you.
Some notable features now include:
- Faster seeding, Faster downloading due to new servers, as well as reduced load on the servers thanks to GoFile handling the file storage. Even on the free plan (yes it's still completely free), you will seed/download near or at 1gbps, and our pro plan can seed and download at up to 10gbps.
- Public downloads, you can now share your files with anyone, even if they don't have a TorBox account.
- A public API, you can now integrate TorBox into your own apps, or even use it to automate your downloads. This is still a work in progress, but it's a start.
- A mobile app, you can now download the TorBox mobile app on Android and soon iOS. The mobile app allows you to receive notifications on the go, as well as add, download and view your torrents, anywhere, anytime.
- Better UIs. One of the best parts of TorBox is it's UI and how simple it is to use. There have been numerous updates to make your experience even smoother than ever before.
- Better integrations. We have added a better Google Drive integration, as well as a OneDrive integration, which complements our DropBox integration nicely. All integrations are available on any plan, and will upload your files without you being on the page. Click once, leave, and come back to your files in your cloud storage.
- Cached downloads are now working better than ever before. If someone else has already downloaded the torrent you are looking for, it will be instantly available for you to download.
- RSS Feeds are now available for Pro users. Just add a RSS feed, and customize the settings to your liking, and the torrents will be automatically added to your account. An added bonus, is that you can add as many RSS feeds as you like. No limits.
- Queued torrents are available for all paid plans. You can queue up as many torrents as you like and they will be downloaded in order. This is great for when you are on the go and want to download a bunch of torrents, but don't want to wait for them to finish before adding more.
### Open Source
We have begun working on an open source version of TorBox, which will allow you to host your own TorBox instance on your own server and even seedboxes. This open source version will also be used on our own dedicated version of TorBox, where you will have your own private instance all to yourself, available for use instantly. This is all still a work in progress, and we are working on it as fast as we can. We are hoping to have a beta version out by May, but no promises. You can view the progress of the open source version here.
### Things we are still working on
Now that we are partnered with GoFile, we are reliant on their service to be reliable for you, the TorBox user. We along with GoFile are still brand new services (GoFile has been around for about a year, TorBox around 3 months now), so there are still growing pains to work out, so please bear with us.
- Zip downloads are not working at the moment due to GoFile's API not fully supporting it yet. They are working on it, and have said to me personally that it will be ready before the end of the year.
- Google Drive and One Drive integrations are still a little buggy. We are working on it, but sometimes the files don't upload due to GoFile as well as Google and OneDrive's API. We are working on it, and it should be fixed soon.
- RSS feeds are still a brand new feature, and while it works, it's not polished and don't have as much
