I'm playing this free game called "Left on Read" on Steam and I had to laugh when I got to this point. That's exactly my response everytime someone says "I can't find my series on Netflix" or they can't pay their subscription.

What makes Youtube think they'll win the Ad war?
The ad-block devs are highly skilled people, enough to combat the tricks by YouTube devs.
I'll say the ad-block community has to be more competent as they are fuelled by spite.
Anything Youtube will implement, the ad-block community will find a way to bypass it sooner or later (even server side injection).
What motivates YouTube to play this cat-mouse game which is unwinnable for them?

Old laptops
Hi! I have an old 2012 macbook pro that until yesterday was able to stream stuff from primewire…granted, only doood worked but that was fine! Now nothing works and I cant update my browsers due to my old computer…any way to work around this and continue streaming? So frustrating that my laptop still works fine but that eventually, things become so obsolete that you have no choice but to get something new. Any advice appreciated! Thank you :)

Thanks to this sub, I downloaded QbitTorrent and thanks to a post a couple a weeks ago I successfully turn dark mode on!
What is next? VPN? What are the best options outthere for small budgets.
Right now I use tunnel bear and since in my country they don't really annoy pirates I am fine for now.

piracy story about an adobe paying customer that got banned for paying so she came to my shop to install pirated version for her
I live in a third world country where 99% of people don't pay for adobe, today a customer came to me she had a US account for creative cloud for mac where she pay 20$ per month (she didn't use an account from our country because it's 60$ per month here) and suddenly adobe discovered she using a US account to pay less so instead of checking where she lives and check the economy of the country (one of the worst) they banned her account.. and she got an exam tomorrow so she came to me and i installed cracked adobe products for her mac and she will live happy now forever without paying each months to adobe.. had to share this story to show how stupid adobe is.

Is there any reason to replace the left file (3.65gb) with a larger "RM4K" one (5.03gb)? Especially considering both are 1080p from comparable encoders. The best screen I have right now is a 1440p monitor if that makes a difference.
