The Megathread for tv shows streaming is absolute trash
Most of them are just mirrors of the same database, and they feature only the most mainstream shows.
Why isn't r/Unblockit/ on the list, for instance?
Just terrible. No point in having a Megathread if it's not even up to date with the best offerings online. Just a list of cheap sites you could google yourself to in a second.

Alternatives to external HDD storage of media?
Hey peeps,
Can anyone help me learn more about alternative solutions to storing my media on an external HDD? For a long time I've been hoarding my treasures on a basic usb external drive, which although functionally fine isn't very robust (I lost all my data two years ago, which was absolutely soul crushing) and a little cumbersome due to moving the drive between where I'm doing plundering and then connecting it back to my TV.
I know NAS is an option. Are there any others which I should consider? I would be very grateful if anyone can point me towards further reading or YouTube content.

Downloading an excessively large file
Hey guys, I’m starting to download some shows that have more data than my hard drive can fit. I’ve poked around a bit but haven’t been able to find much on this. Is there any way to download the file directly to my external drive? Or will I just have to download individual seasons?

Hey /r/piracy. Reddit admins de-modded the captain and put a sword to the mod-team's necks to re-open. It seems they really demand valuable input from pirates. I look forward to you to taking this tacit Reddit endorsement of digital piracy to heart in the coming days!
I don't know how long I'll remain around. I seem to have caught the eye of Sauron and I'm not the top mod anymore. Hopefully the remaining mods won't scab but it's out of my control now.
Feel free to join me at the failback forum. You know where ;) It's fun being an unshackled pirate once more!

Looking for IT certifications dumps for free
Hi, I am looking for IT certification dumps for free. I have studied for the exam but now I want to practice and check my knowledge so I can know where I am lacking. The certification is completely knowledge based and not practical at all in nature. I will be appearing for the CDL exam.
Would really appreciate some help, thank you!

What's the difference between a remux and a WEBRip?
So I'm looking for an oldish cartoon from early 2000s, and from anidb there are only three groups that have completed it, one shut down last year, the other made a AAC 720p encode (webrip), and the only group to remux is is animebytes. Looking on nyaa I found that there was a 720p HVEC one (also webrip). I really want to watch this anime in high quality, but I could handle 720p as well. Should I wait a few years and try to get into animebytes for the remux, or just download the 720p one if there's minimal difference? (bonus question : is the hvec better than aac, as I've heard it takes longer to render)

Legality of partial files
Since finally getting fiber at my place about a week ago I've been trying to figure out how to properly utilize my obscene upload bandwidth for the good of mankind. I'm playing around with DarkMX, which seems good in concept but I'm not sure if it would open me up to the usual Tor exit node gray legal areas that I really don't need in my life at this time.
It got me thinking about the failure of user p2p systems in the first place, and the problems with self hosting torrents in countries like the US.
Has there ever been any successful legal attempt to go after someone for hosting a portion of a file? That should be a hard sell for any even marginally tech savvy judge or jury, since all files are made of 1s and 0s and it could be argued that we're all hosting portions of copyrighted material spread all throughout our filesystems since we might have 4 bytes of data stored in the same sequence as a sequence of data from Fast 10.
Would a bittorrent-like (or even modified bittorrent client) be safe for use if, say, immediately following a completed download it copies that file elsewhere and then scrubs 75% of the bits and continues to share the other 25%?

Advice on good VPN and how to use with Spectrum?
A few years ago I torrented Neir Automata (great game btw) and about a month afterwards I got this message popping up on my PC and phone saying my internet was having problems and to call a number spectrum provided. I did so and they explained the whole situation. It’s an anti piracy measure. This time it was essentially a warning but I’ve been avoiding any use of downloading things like that for years because of it.
I’ve decided I want to get back into it (used to do in high school all the time with no problem) but now will need a VPN for it. I’ve read some comments on here about how even WITH a VPN, Spectrum pulled this shit again and they had to pay or they threatened to disconnect it entirely. Obviously I don’t want this to happen so I’m reaching out here to see if anyone has any specific advice on how to use a VPN specifically for spectrum. Clearly others are having issues with this too so I’d like to get to the bottom of this and resolve it for myself and others.
I’m currently looking at Nord, SurfShark, IPVanish, and a few that are extremely cheap but I’m worried the cheap ones won’t actually be worth anything.
Thank you in advance.
