How to activate Office 2010 in Linux/Wine?
I have some ancient Office 2010 Professional Plus volume installation CD that a friend gave me 10 years ago. It came with a key and that used to work to activate it.
However, now I have installed it on a new PC using Crossover (Wine) and it complains about not being activated. I entered the key during installation and it installed fine but now the popup comes every time I start it warning me that Office will get disabled in 2 days. The Internet activation doesn't work (error code) and the phone activation is not available anymore. I think this is because Office 2010 is so old that they don't want people to use it anymore.
So, is there any way to activate or crack Office 2010 that specifically works on Linux/Wine?

Need advice for my desi mom to watch her shows.
Hello all. I just bought an TCL Roku Smart TV from a pawn shop. I am really new to the world of IP*V. I am comfortable paying around 20$ a month CAD for a subscription but I need to get her all the mainstream Pakistani/Indian channels to watch her shows. I am also fine paying for a box since it looks like the Roku app store is limited.
I need something easy to use so all she needs to do is turn on the tv and play her channels rather than navigate through apps/smart tv menu to get to it. I was researching smart STB but it seems really complex.

I’m interested in setting up Stremio on my Android TV box. Is there a guide somewhere and what are some must have plugins / settings besides torentio?
Pretty much the title. I e become convinced to give Stremio a try but don’t know the first thing about it. Afaik it’s basically a media player shell that operates off of plugins. I know torrentio is a must if I don’t want to use debrid. But besides that what plugins or settings do I need to ensure the best experience? I’m in the US so I definitely need a VPN. Is there a VPN plugin? Also what plugin is recommended for subs? And what settings or plugins should I use to lock my streams at 1080p with the least amount of buffering?

Plex vs Jellyfin vs Stremio
Hi, I’m asking about the pros and cons of each. Mainly, my question is on how easy it is to be able to view the media on it from other devices and places. I plan to host it (in the event of Jellyfin or Plex) on a Raspberry Pi connected to my home network with an 8tb hdd.
Location: US
Here’s what I’ve gathered:
Plex
+ very easy to share to different devices and people, and can be shared even through different wifi networks.
+ even on different wifi networks/devices you can request media and it will show up on your device.
+ can be installed on many devices.
- not oss and has recently taken some mildly controversial moves.
- requires vpn (?) (i heard it does but am not totally sure)
— must pay for full features
Jellyfin
++ oss
++ free
+ i like the ui
- i’m pretty sure it’s much harder to view media in places other than where it downloaded or from the network it was downloaded on. (please correct me on this if i’m wrong. for example, according to what i think, if i download a show on my RBP, i would not be able to watch it on the Jellyfin app on my tv, or in the dorm room at my college many states away)
- requires vpn (?) (i heard it does but not totally sure)
- lower device range than plex
Stremio + Torrentio + RD
+ easy to set up
+ no vpn needed
- i’m again unsure on how to use this on other devices (iphone, or tv, for example)
- RD isn’t free

Pirated games telling you to turn off your console
I recently watched the video compilation Of anti piracy screens on games and i've noticed a pattern, that they almost all tell you to turn off your console. Is there a reason for this? I've also noticed a couple of them saying that the playstation is Is rendered non functional. Do they inject a virus into your console or something?

Plex server setup
Hello all,
I am currently in the process of setting up my plex server through the guide in the Wiki. I have got everything running, but have some questions before the maiden voyage.
When I check my IP within the transmission container, it is working as intended with my Mullvad VPN and states my IP is in the USA (im from Germany). But when I enter the other containers such as radarr and sonar, their ips are still set to thr local ip here. I guess I am unfamiliar with the whole process and looking for clarification, as I have heard people in Germany getting caught and having to pay big fines. I figured transmission would take care of connecting to the vpn and all the other containers would be connected to the vpn.
After reading the docs, transmission says it will auto disconnect when the vpn is dropped, is this correct? I mean, do I need to somehow configure another killswitch within transmission for Mullvad?
Sorry for the noobie question, I am just trying to be as cautious as possible here in Germany before raisin the sails. Thanks
