i know fmovies .to later went to fmoviesz.to but fmoviesz .to is now saying that

Subscene died. What do I do?
I need an alternative like subscene, cuz what I can find has been disappointing and annoying to use.
I liked getting my subs from Subscene, since they had a wide selection to choose from for every language, a very simple UI that makes looking for what I want very easy, and enough details to make finding the right subtitle for my movie, tv show, or anime very easy. Match the length of the media to the subtitle listed to make sure sync matched. Some have colors, some have SDH. Some have alien/foreign language included, others offer JUST alien/foreign language translations.
It was perfect.
Opensubtitles is so messy. I can't tell what's a subtitle and what's just text. The UI gave me a stroke.
KickAssSubtitles is okay, but I have a hard time matching the subtitles to the video. I downloaded what I thought was 1 subtitle in a zip file, only to open it and find 4 folders with 5 different sub options that are all the same and have the same sync issues...
Any ideas?

It's painfully hilarious watching live-streamers try to navigate the web without ublock
So I've been jumping around the internet today watching some content creators try to throw out quick reaction videos and live streams about today's news and I'm sitting on my couch laughing at myself as they try to get the video players and live streams of cnn or Fox to load properly, hardly able to even lurch down the page before the site stuttering to a halt. Some of their fans spamming out please just use an ad blocker all to fall on deaf ears.

Piraters (Pirates?) of the UK, what is the whole pirating situation like?
Hi! I'm moving to the UK soon, and when I first visited the country a few years ago, I noticed that piracy sites don't work. To cite a specific instance, I was going to download music from mp3juices, when I couldn't. I didn't really have Spotify premium, so I had to manually download songs in such a way. Now that i'm moving to the UK soon, I was wondering if pirating things is stricter/more difficult than other countries, as I am recently wondering if I can pirate books (I'm using Anna's Archive), music (still on sites like mp3juices), and downloading of videos (eg. ytmate). Would I get in trouble if I do find a way to pirate? Thanks!

I just want to warn everybody in germany that are using open trackers. There is a lawyer "Nimrod Rechtsanwälte" that is writing "Abmahn" - cease-and-desist letters, to everybody. They are either in the seed looking for german ip's or scanning the site for german ip's (somehow).

I got a letter too. For a game what i didnt download, Dungeons 4. And they only get you for games from https://www.kalypsomedia.com/de. It doesnt matter if you downloaded a game from a tracker that comes from Kalypso or not, they will try and send you a letter.
They will send you a "Unterlassungsvertrag" and say you have to pay 850€ (Vergleichsangebot - a "settlement offer"). Do not sign it! When you do, then you just said that you did it! And you have to pay. Take the letter and go to a lawyer. They will write a letter to Nimrod that its not true and blabla etc. And just stay still. It can take some time. Just dont pay and let the lawyer do the job.
Fellow pirates in germany, when you use a open tracker. Get yourself a VPN! And not a free one, pay the 5€-10€ a month or get a abo. If you dont know how it works, google, youtube and othe forums will help you. And then you can set sail again.

I'm looking for the first season of Oggy and the Cockroaches with the German voice actor named Monty Arnold. The German television station Prosieben had the rights to it at the time and there were always nice rhymes in these episodes. Then the television station SuperRTL (Toggo) got the rights to Oggy and the Cockroaches and the series got a new narrator. Watch party guide for people with poor internet
Far too long have we suffered watching pirated shows/movies on websites and dealing with constant buffering or low quality video because of our shitty wifi, or the annoyance of watching locally with torrented files but having to count down and click play with friends to watch together. After Amazon removed watch parties for basic accounts I moved to torrenting and watch party software for watching shows with friends, so I figured I'd post a guide on all the software used to make it work for some poor sap googling for help in the same situation I was.
1.Torrenting: Qbittorrent + Surfshark
Generally doesn't matter what app, I prefer Qbittorrent but use whatever you want. VPN is recommended, not needed but you're doing mildly shady business and for a cheap one like surfshark it's only $2 a month for all devices. ThePirateBay.org is good for generally everything, while Nyaa.si specifically has anime or similar content
2. Sharing pirated files with friends: Syncthing
Could always have them torrent it themselves but if your friends don't want to deal with all that and you want to semi automate it for them SyncThing is your best bet. Automatically takes anything downloaded into the specified folder and shares it with any device you link up with, it also syncs up deletion so when you and the boys finish a show you can delete the files and it'll clear it up on their device as well. I used to use Google drive but then they started flagging my files for copyright so....it was upgrade time
3. Watch party using the local files: SyncPlay
Biggest benefit of all this is since you're not streaming anything even with pretty bad connection you'll still be able to watch whatever in the highest quality since it's local, and for that the best solution I've found is SyncPlay. You join a server with however many people you want (granted they have the same media files on their PC), add the files to a playlist and hit start. Now it'll automatically manage it so you'll always be watching the same parts together, and if 1 person rewinds/pauses/fast forwards it does it for EVERYONE. You'll have to download one of the supported media players, devs recommend MPV over VLC and you can add an extension to it that allows watching YouTube videos in it
