Seriously, why is everyone trying to squeeze every penny out of consumers ?
This is something I noticed recently, and it might be just my bias and it used to happen before, idk, but it seems like in every industry, every company is trying to find a way to charge for something more, something extra.
Is there a hidden motive behind this besides money ?
Its like these companies never reach a point of "OK we are all making a good buck, lets maintain this level"
It almost seems like they are all competing, for what exactly again ?
It seems to me like its "I have to earn more so other guy doesn't over power me" and its rarely like "I have to make something new and awesome that people love and will buy"
Whats going on, is there some hidden race where planet Earth is going bye bye and they are all gathering resources for next planet so they can get a head start ?
What is it ?

PSA: Stop paying attention to EMPRESS
Please stop paying attention to EMPRESS, when people stop paying attention to them, they will get desperate and start cracking again.
If you're in the telegram, and you want more cracks, you're only harming yourself.

I'm new here and after looking up at some comments I decided to move to Firefox from Brave (is this the right choice?). What should I do now? What are the first add-ons I should download?
I saw many downloaded UBlock for example. What other things should I do and download?

Don’t be an idiot like me
I always use this one website where I download my torrents and everything because it always works. But for some reason I thought it would be a good idea to download something from fitgirl as I’ve seen plethora of posts and personally saw someone using to download games. So I said, why not!
Here I go on the LEGIT website. I try downloading Microsoft flight simulator 2020. The website tells me idm is recommended so I said why not. After I ran the installation of idm , it then gave me an option to add the extension to my google chrome profile, I said, why not. I proceed to the website and click on the game, then I click on download, then it took to me another page to download. I download the exe and run it but for some reason my gutt was telling me not to “allow” through security windows admin permission. Repeatedly clicking don’t allow kept on popping up with “allow”. I decided to restart my computer and deleted the exe and all its zipped file.
I go back to fitgirl to download the game and this time by reading carefully, I could read fitgirl saying the current website will download the file so don’t be stupid if you get redirected and click something else. This is where I know I fuked up!! I deleted the idm and its sus extension.
Game works fine, but I ended up deleting that, too. Next day I wake up, my PayPal is hacked and have been used to make a purchase $1000+ , second, my discord got hacked, third my Facebook got hacked, and today, my linked got hacked and Reddit account was suspended for sus activity.
All of this were logged in in my browser so it’s clearly because of the extension I downloaded because it asks for permission to view your browsing data and bla bla bla and that’s how it happened.
So yeah, don’t be like me. Read and then re read again.

What is Denuvo, and why is it so hard to crack?
So, I was just randomly checking for cracks on Fifa. I remember my friend telling me back in the day that Fifa 19 was the only crack available. I was quite surprised, so I started checking around. I saw that Fifa 23 had been cracked, but anything between them hadn't been.
This was quite shocking to me, so I decided to check around, and I kept seeing answers like this "1 word denuvo". What is Denuvo and why can't other games use either since it's impossible to crack or something.

Did your pirating habits changed over the years (games)?
Hi,
I'm curious, if you changed the way you pirated things. When I was still a teenager living by my parents I would pirate any game they wouldn't buy me, later as a student I got a little "state money" and would still pirate every game I want, but then would buy the ones I enjoy, kinda like a demo. The first one was probably The Witcher 3. I would also get stuff from Humble Bundle. At those time I lived in France and even if piracy is illegal, at that time the authority trying to track pirates was shit (Hadopi), never got caught without a VPN.
As an adult I moved to Germany, and here it seems like they're a bit more on the lookout for piracy, I have a VPN, but stopped pirating game because my PC was really in his last days and I would play on a legit Xbox. Now that I have a good PC and a salary, I buy my games but I'm way more difficult in my choice, my last buy was Gray Zone, and it was mostly to support the devs.
I'm often looking on fit girl what's available, but I'm way to lazy to get back into pirating.
So what's your story?
